SolarTester

With SolarTester you can make accurate measurements of the solar irradiance components, not just the global irradiance as with common pyranometers or solarimeters but also the diffuse and reflected components. You can assess the performance of a photovoltaic system and measure its efficiency. Besides you can try to optimize your PV system through the measurement of the reflected irradiance seen by the PV modules after placing reflective elements around them (white gravel, reflective tarps etc.). SolarTester can also display in real-time the UV index (international standard measurement of the strength of the ultraviolet radiation) and allows you to take all the necessary precautions to protect yourself from sunburns, eye damage, skin aging or worst diseases such as skin cancer.


Please, note that this app requires a special hardware add-on (SS02 sensor) connected to the audio jack of your smartphone. Without this sensor SolarTest can be run in demo mode only. For more details about SS02 please see http://www.optivelox.com/DL_en/ss0x.htm
