About Arc Flash Calculator
Arc Flash Calculator v1.0 is a free and easy to use tool based on the "IEEE 1584 Guide for Performing Arc-Flash Hazard Calculations" for calculating arc incident energy, arc flash approach boundary limit and hazard/risk category required by NEC and OSHA when work is to be performed on or near the energized equipment. The tool is not free of possible miscalculations, errors or invalid data, so it should be not taken as a 100% safe source. Always give advance to the more sophisticated tools, manufacturer datasheets and relevant standard sources. It looks like your normalised energy calculation is wrong. Your conversion from joules to calories is backwards, it should be: joules × 0.2389.
