What are users saying about NetSuite OpenAir Mobile

J70%
by J####:

This app used to work but after the last update it will never sync. Tried completely re-installing and clearing data but nothing seems to make this app work.

A70%
by A####:

Flat out useless. Does not reliably load, crashes.

Q70%
by Q####:

Absolutely not fit for purpose.

Q70%
by Q####:

But I felt compelled to because this app has gone from barely usable to completely unusable. Not being able to enter a receipt makes me just want to uninstall, as it was the only thing this app was even mildly useful for.

Q70%
by Q####:

Every time I try to view or add an expense, I get a black screen, the app freezes, and I have to force stop it. Pretty useless as is.

O70%
by O####:

Won't login with SSO. Crashes after a few tries when going to login.

E70%
by E####:

Finally got it working but uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I hope I don't have to do that every time after an update, but at least it works now.

Q70%
by Q####:

New interface has more pleasing appearance than the old version, but syncing is still very slow.

V70%
by V####:

Awful app. Syncing takes forever, even beyond just the initial sync. If the screen turns off during this long sync then the app locks up and crashes and restarting it starts it all again. The app itself is counter intuitive and over complicates something that should be very simple. This app needs a major overhaul if it's to be any way useful.

Q70%
by Q####:

The keyboard goes crazy just trying to enter my credentials. Managed to log in and it works. Syncing takes a long time, but only once. Entering expenses is a breeze.

Q70%
by Q####:

Originally I was OK with the app. It worked relatively well thought the US was clunky. The new changes look much better but I can no longer go into my account so it's useless.

Q70%
by Q####:

The update has rendered the app useless. It won't save any receipts and won't store image files taken directly from the camera. Please fix it!

D70%
by D####:

I can now see my submitted expenses, add expenses, and see/review/approve my teams expenses. Will update after I use it more. Still can not submit or approve pre-approvals for travel and expenses through the mobile app.

Q70%
by Q####:

App sync takes ages for some reason. I don't know what kind of traffic is being synced, but I could download an entire movie in the time it takes to complete a sync.

M70%
by M####:

It keeps asking to enter credentials and it fits in a loop, including server name! !

Q70%
by Q####:

Prior version was clunky but it worked. Latest update takes a very long time to sync, and most of the time I'm unable to save an expense entry getting Error 805. Also, FX rates are frequently lost and I have to reinstall the app to get something entered. An unusable mobile app makes my travel expenses process much more difficult.

Y70%
by Y####:

App always hangs when getting to the "processing custom data fields" step.

Q70%
by Q####:

poorly developed. awful design. v slow

U70%
by U####:

Not able to login or sync data. Uninstalling for now.

Q70%
by Q####:

New update is awful

M70%

Samsung S5 - hold the multi window button down to bring up the options to Add Expense report, Add Time Report etc. if you don't find this option you can only view which isn't so useful!

Q70%
by Q####:

So clumsy. Entering time sheets is like pulling teeth.

Q70%
by Q####:

I wish I can submit a screen capture. I am using a Samsunng S7 and the only menu option available is the sync button. Who was the retard that designed this app? I'm guessing the idiot developer wrote the app to work on his iPhone and did a cheap port to Android. BIG HINT TO THE DEV: USE NATIVE SCRIPT, YOU MORON!!!

S70%
by S####:

Constantly loses the client and project dropdown values, making the app useless. Better to stick with the wierd online site,at least from reliability, although the ux could be improved, esp from a mobile or tablet device

P70%
by P####:

As it stands, this is only useful for phones that have a hardware menu button. My Galaxy S6 does not have one so I can only view existing expense reports. It's nice that I can take a picture of an expense receipt, but the app does not use OCR to auto-fill the expense item. Overall, a decent reference app, but not incredibly useful.

Q70%
by Q####:

As a lot of other users have mentioned if you have a device that does not have a menu button it is not obvious how to do anything other than view items. As I have a Galaxy S6 this has been a real issue. There was a post that said to review the manual for the mobile app on the OpenAir web site, but that was no help. Then I saw a post that stated holding the "Active App" button would bring up the menu. I tried this but my S6 just told me that the OpenAir app doesn't support split windows. After that was a bust out of curiosity I tried holding the back button, and to my surprise the menu popped up. So the app is now useful to me again. I wanted to post this for all of those that are having the same issue in hopes that it will work for them as well. NetSuite, this does by no means let you off the hook. More and more devices are doing away with the menu button. As a programmer I know that it isn't that difficult to add a pop-up menu button in the app, or place one on the tool bar. Please fix this with the next release. Having a hidden and undocumented method to get to what is arguably the most important part of the app is not acceptable. Once fixed I'll update my rating.

Q70%
by Q####:

To create new items, you have to hit your hardware menu button. A lot of new phones including the Galaxy S series don't have this button

Q70%
by Q####:

Great concept. Wish the idea was complete. Limited functionality with new devices. Synchronization in the beginning takes for-ev-er.

Q70%
by Q####:

Bought a new Oneplus 3. This doesn't work with the hardware buttons so I need to switch to airfare software buttons to use it. It's quite irritating. I wish they'd follow Android standards

Q70%
by Q####:

Thanks to Aaron McLaughlin for the tip of holding the back button (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge) to show the menu button. I work with employees who have to submit time and expense reports and if I needed to train them on this mobile app, I wouldn't know how. Now I can find my way and troubleshoot.

Q70%
by Q####:

Pos update by a bunch of tryhard ui engineers who have no sense of usability whatsoever. Did you outsource this crap to some 3rd world country or a cally startup of entitled teenagers? Got what you paid for...

Q70%
by Q####:

Extremely buggy, duplication of entry, very slow to load. Poor user interaction. Android S7.

R70%
by R####:

This app gets worse with every "upgrade". It's now completely useless. The UI is confusing and not standard for all entry fields. Icons are confusing. Dozens more clicks to do anything and I still have to edit using the website for settings it misses. I have now quit using it as it is easier (not kidding about this) to take a picture of my receipt and email it to myself and then use the website to do my expense report. Just sad. Go back about 8 or versions to when the app was simple and worked. PLEASE! Also, it broke my login. Can't login at all. Website works fine.

N70%
by N####:

Extremely, tediously slow synchronization at login. Clunky unintuitive user interface: to submit my timesheet, I click the unlabeled pointer icon thing at the top right corner - obviously. I see no way to review and approve my employees' timesheets - I have to log in to the web site to do that, so what's the point of this app?

Q70%
by Q####:

I like the new UI easier to find things, but this app is soooooooo slow, everytime I open the app it needs to sync, and it always take like 10 minutes to do it. The app is pointless when I can just get on my laptop and get to the site, and then enter my time, a heck of a lot faster than thru the app.

D70%
by D####:

Handles expenses and time sheets. A little slow to start up because of all the synchronization it does. Cannot approve subordinates' time sheets.

D70%
by D####:

I like the app, primarily use it for filling in my expense reports. Love the ability to take a picture and attach to the expense entry at the same time. Security control over my device on one of the updates has resulted in me uninstalling though. On a Friday when I need to do expenses, I install and then remove when I'm finished.

F70%
by F####:

Why there is no option to not store the credentials. I don't want to put a password on my device. Can you change this behaviour and give the user or the user administrator the option to choose?

D70%
by D####:

It's just so s-l-o-w. And why can't you start a time sheet? You have to log in to the web client to create one. Only then can you access it in the Android app. That's stupid.

D70%
by D####:

You can log in but that's it. No options, settings, add, delete or modify capabilities. Guess you might be able to view a rejected time card if you had one.
