Kids Zone Parental Controls

It does a pretty good job. My toddler still somehow opens you tube or the app store through her approved apps, but it won't let her into those. They are just on when I close this.

Great app. Could have given 5 star if it has automatic handling of pin reset when the locking pin is forgotten (i.e it should ask if pin reset is required and if yes, the time bound pin be sent to the parent mail). Good app all the same.

Great app. Exactly what I was looking for. However, one of the pro features suggests that if your child accidentally closes the app, they will be able to reopen it. This is true unless your child presses the "task manager" button. You are shown a message telling your child to hold a button if they want to close the app or do nothing and they will return to the app. I would expect then that not pressing anything would return you to where you were in the app but instead it restarts it...

Works well on my phone but sometimes freezes on the Tablet. He can also exit user on the tablet and go into unsecured users or create other user profiles. Whfn signed back into his own profile, it starts on the unlocked main screen even if Kids Zone is locked already. We've solved That by putting a password into his profile so we sign him in, and open Kids Zone for him. I'm not sure if a better workaround can be done without rewriting the Tablet program.

Even without going pro, this app still does exactly what I need from an app like this. I only need it for the babies in my life, and most games I download for children are just as fun for the older kids as they are for the babies. Besides, why whine about time settings when I can take my phone back at any time no matter what fit is pitched? I love this app.

I usually do not pay for apps. This is the very first app I was willing to pay for (because it locks kids out of home screen/settings/etc that some other apps cannot do). However, then I discovered it cannot prevent kids from installing new apps from Google Play Store. This should be one of the main intentions of this app. Defeats own purpose of blocking kids in that regard. If this major flaw is fixed, I will proudly pay for the app and it will be my ultimate choice for kids blocking.

I have this app but some how it is locked with a password and I don't know what the password is. Now, I cant even use my phone at all. Does anyone know how to reset the password asap? Apparently, it will take about 36 hours for the software manager to clear this issue but I need to use my phone for business. Is it possible someone help me. Thank you in advance

The timer doesn't stop when the screen is off. So even though my kid is not using it the timer keeps going. Also, would like it to resume after a timeout period. For example, he plays for an hour , the timer goes off, then can't play again until two hours go by, and the timer can start again

With the latest update this becomes the best Parent Control App on the Market. It is very easy to use and selecting what apps are available is a breeze. All of the Apps will displayed on one screen and you cannot leave that screen. With the latest update the settings icon is removed so that you won't be able to remove the App. Also in the Kids Zone settings you can now select the option to have the Phone available - it won't be a selectable app but will appear once the phone is locked and Kids Zone is engaged. You can also set it so that if the phone is rebooted -removing the battery, the Kid Zone app launches blocking everything right after reboot. It is the most secure and stable app that will block the internet, the Play Store, email and all other social media apps. You can allow texting and the phone and whatever apps you choose. But if you are looking for a solid way to lock down the internet and unapproved apps this is the way to go. Note that the phone option is only available with the Pro -paid version. It is just a few bucks and worth purchasing. The pro version also lets you set more than 8 Apps which you are limited to in the free version.

My 3 year old daughter plays with it. She can't get into anything I don't want her to. The only thing I don't understand is why Netflix has a exclamation point on it when the Google play store shows it on an example.

I have specified 90 minutes time limit and every time I start the lock it is automatically defaulting to 30 minutes. Strange. Also now finding that programmes are freezing and not loading. Plus despite selecting to start kids zone after reboot, it doesn't - it just loads normal start screen which defeats the object. Our child can just restart the tablet!

Was about to purchase pro versions..........used it for about a week, and now adds are popping up while in kid mode. Worked great before that! The adds a inappropriate considering I only have kindergarden games on here. Understand the need to make money but at least find a way to filter the adds

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Very upset that i wasted money on this!! Will not open several of my kid apps - then on many that it will let me open...the actual functionality of the app is limited!!!

My 9 month old is somehow able to press button after button and get this thing to crash. Next thing I know she's in my work email deleting and sending emails. I observed her using this and it kept restarting as she was just clicking away on the screen. Maybe this is good for older kids that use apps and parents want to limit what they use. I need something that allows my daughter to just click away and not have it do anything. This doesn't appear to be that kind of parental control app.

It erased all apps and backgrounds my daughter has on her tablet. Can easily go to home screen and do what she wants. Causes me more work and time to reinstall everything. I'm annoyed. Wish is worked better

I love this app BUT it loses one star with me as it currently won't allow my kid to play any of the allowed apps. Kind of makes it slightly useless at the moment. I look forward to the update that fixes this issue.

Excellent app. I just hate the splash screen with "Kid Zone" written on it. I sometimes use this app to restrict what other adults click on. The splash screen makes it a bit insulting.

The app is really good! I put it on my phone so my 20 month old can safely play his games without calling people (happened several times before the app). The app has only has one slight blip issue and it quickly recovered itself from whatever the issue was. I highly recommend this!

Does not work properly. My 1 year old keeps getting to homescreen even when its locked. Doesnt block half of ads. When it does ot times out before "attempting" to go back to game. Most of the time it resets to kids zone menu Volume does not work. Good idea bad execution. If it doesnt work then no reason to keep it or buy it.

Time on counter does not stop when screen is turned off. Unacceptable! Phone App should be enabled all the time regardless of timeout. Delay between timeouts is not configurable.

Great concept and great when it works however it keeps failing to stay in the kids zone mode. It regularly goes back to the standard tablet screen allowing my child to access all apps on the tablet. To fix it I need to go into kids zone, unlock, restart and try again. Very annoying. I even paid for the app to have more functions and it still fails. So disappointed I may aswell not bother with it.

Ive been looking for a simple app which allows you to set a time then lock the phone automatically after the time runs out. After several days of searching, I found this. It's perfect!! Not to mention it's other features like blocking all other apps. This is one of the best apps ever created.

It goes back to the original home with no parental controls EVERY TIME one of my children are done playing a game. I spent the extra money of all FOUR of my children, so there goes about $20 dollars "down the drain."

Locked my mum's phone had to get a technician to unlock it I did it until my mum got angry as he'll xxx recommended it for kids to lock parents phones

Awesome app! I love the feature that allows me to set a time limit on her use. I just wish we could set that limit for specific apps within the kid zone, so I could put a time limit on her netflix but let her play her spelling app for longer. Just an example. Highly recommend!

simple, strong and userfriendly, highly recommended if u havbe younger children who like youtube and kids games . my kids got android tablets for xmas and this is very usefull.. only suggestion is a task killer to help slower devices to run smoother for kids ...

Works wonders!! Before my toddler would be calling and texting random people and now I put her in the kids zone and don't have to worry about her calling or texting anybody lol.

Great app does exactly what i needed it to the only down fall is the free version only allows 8apps and with 3 toddlers of different ages you need more then 8. Other then that the app keeps my children in a safe place with no time limit or a million adds. Thank you! Side note is there anyway to customize the wallpaper? i had a hard time finding a picture that could fit properly

Ok still not come across an app that is hack proof. I love tech however with a mum that hates it. I work with it all day every day. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A, Grand Prime, Core Prime, Galaxy s5, s7 edge and getting the Galaxy s8 and my other phone well makes me very sad. That is because it has been discontinued, it is the Galaxy Note7 had to return to Samsung Electronics immediately, but it was a great phone. Anyway if you are into technology get Android not Apple. There is just one thing I have to do. Swipe down and turn on private mode and my location off. Good try people. By the way if you have a Samsung Galaxy Note7 return to Samsung immediately, you can still get a full refund if it is damaged or return it for a Galaxy s7 or s7 edge with cash on top. Thank You.

Really a great app, but having some issue . Currently I tried with Lenovo Vibe K5, app is not locking device after switching on. Please look into this issue.

Kids zone is easy to use. Very straight forward and exactly what I needed to keep my son from watching YouTube videos that I didn't like. Does it's job great!

Very lightwieght and simple app meant to do only what it was meant to do, which is great imo. Only con is not being able to rearrange the order of the apps.

I love these parent control apps because my 7 yr old daughter like to download stuff I'm not sure is safe but with this I can be sure she isn't talking to some pedophile online

My 3 year old son has figured out all you have to do is turn the phone off and restart the phone. When the phone comes back on he can get on anything he wants and delete things. Very frustrating...

At first, all my child had to do to get out of kids mode was restart phone. That may have been fixed, though. However, all apps set up in Kids Zone seem to lock up constantly, causing constant phone restart need.

Works well to keep kids separate from the rest. I do get frequent crashes though I can't be sure if it is this app or the individual apps causing them.

It's not automatically locking after rebooting the handset..So what's the use of kids zone..If we locked and given to child , child is so smart that he reboots the handset and plays with it

Doesn't really work. After "locking" the device, you can still use the home button. The notifications and settings bars, and the recent apps button is locked but the home button takes you home where you have access to everything. This only happens while inside a game. From the locked screen dashboard, the home button gives you the screen that says "locked, will return after a short delay from Google."

It is not bad the free part doesn't have the time out feature so I am going to try it out. Really like this app. My young daughter love's having games and show apps on her phone

It keeps cutting out which is really annoying but at least I know my kids can't access YouTube without my knowing
