Mike's Macros for Android
Yessssss finally a no nonsense macros app ... took me 5 crappy downloads to get sth simple and effective. Highly recommend! Esp since it offers dual training and rest day counting options! Thank you Mike!! Will be subscribing to your other channels :)
This simple, yet comprehensive app provides exactly the tools I was looking for, exactly the tools you need for accurately tracking daily macros. Bonus: Track for "Training" and "Rest" days. Info is in your face straight up, not hidden in page after page, graphss, etc. It simply gives you exactly the info you need in a quick reference format. It. Is. Perfect! And so is Mike Vacanti! So grateful to have the new resources - now I can launch into true weight loss in a way that actually makes realistic sense. You will love this app!
Very limited database. Change serve size causes crash every time so useless. A shame cause otherwise it's simple to use. Could be good.
Love the simplicity of the app without too many pages or clunkiness, but food database too simple. No coffee, even!
A little glitchy but still the most user friendly and comprehensive macro app out!
Absolutely the best macro tracking app out there!!
Would like to be able to track fibre intake and have a recipe calculator.
This is useless.
4 days in and im finding it easy to use and just what i need
Really helpful,, nd so does ur blogs
Really love this app simple and very useful app
Easy to use and understand. Just great
Been following Mik Vacanti on YouTube and snapchat for a while, and while he has had this accurate database available for iPhone for a while, us android users had to be patient. Been trying to lose weight with MFP and just keep going up or staying th same. When you do the maths, MFP is not accurate! OTR is ACCURATE! It may not be as big a database of food that you are used to, but its easy enough to add the macros yourself and name and save it. Top app whatever your fitness goals are.
I have tried so many apps, even the big name macro apps and they don't even cut it. Thank you Mike for your generosity in teaching us about our lifestyle. Back to the point, this app is easy to use, you save your meals, and are able to search other meals. You eat, click and boom you are good to go. He even adds alcohol for you drink lovers. Just saying, this app is the stuff. Thank you Mike
Came from iPhone and have to say compared to iPhone and Android macro apps this is the simplest, smartest and easiest macro logging app. No nonsense. Love it. Only suggestion is to let you rename the food with one tap by tapping the meal text rather than having to hit menu and then rename. Makes it even faster for something you do so much throughout the day
Went to log evening meal, and it took me back to Tuesday, and no matter how many times I swiped, it took me back to Tuesday. I shut it down, and when I reopened the app, my entire day's worth of meals was gone. Completely gone. Not acceptable. UPDATE: my app is stuck on yesterday, and will not recognize that it is no longer yesterday. Also not acceptable. EDIT: Just lost all my info again. This app isn't worth the annoyance.
Why is there so many alcohol brands and types of beer under the "browse food" section? You don't have half and half or any regular types of food but you have every flavor of lagunitas beer? Macros for alcoholics maybe. Otherwise it's a good app.
My favorite tracker. The only thing missing is a Barcode scanner but I've gotten used to just reading the label. Also there is a small bug where when I open the app sometimes it puts me on the wrong day. Usually a week behind or ahead. Tldr; it's better than mfp and is free. Get used to reading labels and guesttimating.
I like the format of this app a lot. However, it continues to glitch (wont switch between dates and freezes on portion screen) and causes my phone to run slowly. Please update to fix these. And some updates in the food library would be nice.
Can't track progress stats, terrible food database. As a user sending way too much time manually adding basic foods like toast or a cup of coffee. Suggested enhancement would be to list sugar for the day (not part of macros but would be beneficial to keep tabs on that too.)
Oats 40 grams it does 17g protein when it's 5g, and the carbs it shows like 70g... It's waaaaay off... Sweet potatoes are waaaaay off... Too much crap to fix...
I recently had to change apps because of an update to my previous tracker. This one is kinda nice. I like that you can switch between training and rest days, though it would be nice if there were a line for fiber content. I especially like that this tracker has alcohol included in the items you can choose from. I'm still kinda figuring out how to use it, but the more I learn about it, the more I like it.
Great App but it glitches when I want to change number of servings under saved meals. Otherwise, it's perfect
What is wrong with the author if this app?? No mayonnaise listed? No chips, potato or corn or otherwise? Seriously? If you write an app write it to be used for real people. You have hundreds of drinks listed and no mayonnaise. Ridiculous
I input my macros manually but once I save the changes the app changes what I put in! So no good for me
I have been using MyFitnessPal but let me tell you this app os like freaking a bijillion times better....God bless your soul! Hahhaa download it now!
Top notch, of course. And free.
This app is very good at what it does, help you track your macros. My wish list for this app includes integration with other popular fitness apps and integration with Smart watches.
I can't set my carbs above 500 in macros? Some people are just larger and more active than others, and require a lot more than 500g of carbs per day.
Great app, tho it automatically rests your macros at 12 am.. My daily schedule is different so that sucks, I wish I could choose when it rests
Mike is the man, best macro app on the market! Would be nice to see previous days macro counts though, and a couple of the foods in the data base are off but definitely still best app.
This macros app is simple, has a great UI and will help nutrition tracking tremendously if you are willing to put the work in.
Easy to use app that does everything it needs to. You can tell it was created by someone who actually has used these type of apps. Highly recommend
Hands down best, most simple to use, straight to the point macros app around.
Best, simple app. By far best fitness app out there if you don't need all the food stuff. Mike V is a rising star. This app is legit, just like his content.
Its simple and to the point. Like it better than myfitnesspal
I can't change the units to the metric system, is this going to be and upgrade later on???
Best macro app there is!
Nice work Mike!

Used Mike's calculator in tandem with 45mins intense interval training 3x a week. Lost 10 pounds in 1 month. Went from 25%bf to 22%bf. I will always input labels or Google search nutrition facts as the database seems inaccurate, but I don't mind. I'm always full and enjoy cooking elaborate meals for myself and my husband. Turkey burgers, meatloaf, pancakes, pretzel buns, tacos, pasta... It all fits my macros. I chose to skip counting any of my green veggies so I do not dissuade myself from eating them. I also skip counting on Sundays. I still hit my goals. Thanks Mike!
