We are presently covering the District of Colombo and we shall be expanding to other Districts of the Island in the very near future with new hotline numbers for each District.
We are presently operating with 3 wheel and Nano cars through online Cabs. See taxis around you on the Online Cabs map. Tap Online Cabs to get a taxi cab and watch on the map as it approaches! Rate your driver. Online Cabs app allows drivers and passengers connect directly by using their smart-phones. Online Cabs presently works for Colombo District.
Passengers:
• See the available taxis in your area as they drive around.
• Tap the Online Cabs button to catch one, it’s easy, awesome and free!
• Know when your taxi will arrive and see it approaching on the map.
• Call your taxi driver directly
• Rate your driver.
• Its same as you put your hand to a road taxi. But 100% safety and reasonable rates on taxi fare.
Taxi Drivers:
• Receive alerts when you are on shift and get jobs through Online Cabs.
• Set your status to AVAILABLE or UNAVAILABLE to control when passengers can see you.
• Get the passenger destination & pickup before you choose to accept or ignore the job

Not the best option when you need a vehicle urgently. Calling a taxi service is much easier than finding a taxi through this app. I would say 'PickMe' is more reliable and faster than online cabs app.

It says that I have reached maximum no. of activations. What happens if changed phones.

I couldn't register my phone number. Asks for a valid phone number. My number starts with 076

I entered my mobile number and clicked on "Get activation code".There was no response so I clicked it for a few times. When I received the screen to enter the activation code, I entered the code and it kept saying wrong.. So I closed the app. When I reopened the app and entered my mobile number it keeps saying "Sorry you have requested for more activation codes than allowed" after an hour I receive few more activation codes and I can't enter it! Very disappointed :(
