food pH - Is your food acidic? for Android
Also contradicts other ph tables i have seen so dont know what believe.
This app seems half finished. The database of foods is limited; most protein sources are missing, including any animal protein. More bewildering are the pH values, which have no reference point to use for comparison. What does it mean if a food is a 3.0 compared to a 6.0? There's no objective range between base and acid, so none of the values are helpful for me.
The database needs to grow, but from what I have seen so far, the reported pH levels are accurate and are not confused with misrepresented alkaline levels. Unfortunately, there has been no update of its first release in 2013 so I am not hopeful that we will see any improvements.
Tip: Choose 'select all' instead of typing in a specific food, then search/scroll alphabetically because some items are listed strangely. Helpful, but hoping they keep this list updated because, so far, many basic foods are missing.
Values look right, wish for a larger food list
Every Food in the database is acidic, even Kale..
Very limited range of foods. I typed nuts, walnuts only comes up. Type Almonds, get nothing. Info about what you should be aiming for ph wise would be most helpful too.
Okay, not very visual
A nice simple app but it definitely needs more products in the database.

It measures it before it is digested. Not accurate at all.
