With gig you can tip the scales of tradition and work on your own terms. Hassle-free with no obligations, you take control of your role, hours, and location.
Shifting with the times.. gig matches you, the Seeker, with businesses in the hospitality and retail sectors in need of a casual, on-demand workforce. You pick up shifts without the hassle of interviews or contracts and get paid you 24 hours after completion.
Whether you just want to boost your holiday savings or aim to reshape your entire earning lifestyle, payday is always just a day away. So find that new job – barista, chef, receptionist, cleaner, whatever your skill set – and make gig work for you.
Before getting started, it is important that you turn on push notifications. Then, simply specify:
- The jobs you can work
- The relevant experience and references you have in each role
- When you want to work
- How far you want to work from your home address
- How much you want to work for (We’ll show you the National Average as a guide)
That’s it! You’ll only see the shifts that suit you, so apply now and get gigging! Once you’ve been accepted for a shift:
1. Turn up at the specified time and location
Be punctual! No one likes a no-show, so if you don’t show up 3 times without a valid excuse, you will lose access to your gig account.
2. Scan your QR code against the employer app when you start and finish your shift so you get paid for what you have worked for
At the end of every shift, a job provider has the opportunity to give you a “thumbs up” and add you to their favourites, so give it your all! We calculate how many “thumbs up” you get relevant to how many jobs you have done and rank you accordingly.
3. Get paid within 24 hours3. Get paid within 24 hours!
Every shift with gig is paid minus your Tax and National Insurance contributions. We will send you an advice slip showing the advanced amount of income that you are due to receive for your completed shift within 24 hours of you completing it. You will then further receive an end of Tax week payslip with any remaining balance of your income once your weeks Tax and National Insurances have been calculated.

I registered to get some extra work done. When i finally got my bank account sorted, the Jovita that works there just ignored my emails. What i asked is how to attach my bank account because I cannot find the form where to fill in bank details. Anyway I apply for jobs and they are all only pending! no answer what so ever. Im dissappointed in this because I have a very good experience in many fields! Cloak room attendant, waitress and more

Very unreliable app, keeps on shutting down and complaining no connection even though I am connected to my home internet WiFi. When you do finally accept a job, the company has no recollection that you accept the job, you work for free basically. A visit to the head office was useless, the company is run by a bunch of Europeans, who hardly speak or understand English. They don't understand how businesses operate in London, we have laws and regulations in place, this company should be reported.

unprofessional, do not respect employees, terrible terrible terrible, take forever to reply to messages on email and made me come in in person so many times, waste of train fares. i was also lied to about pay and not paid for several weeks! right so they say pay is 75% upfront then 25% remaining comes a bit later. i never got the 25%. on screen on my first day the pay rate said 9.50. ALGINA my 'consultant' was incredibly rude to me and didnt introduce herself and was arguing with colleagues. wasnt paid for weeks, i told them about it and phoned and phoned and emailed etc. eventually got 75% (about £7) then emailed to say that isnt the right amount but they refused to give me the other 25% as i was 'too young.' HOW are they still running? disgusting scam.

Our company recruits people for catering and the hospitality sector. In recent weeks, we have tried to use this app in the hopes to forward some of our employment force to OMNI recruit company however, we have found under development back-end testing the app is very dodgy in that, it steals your personal data and identity, it tracks your locations for marketing purposes. We have had to rethink our proposed plans and look elsewhere since this company is very dodgy. Look us up, Kitchen Recruits London

I have done a brand ambassador job through the app, had to distribute flyers and spread the word about the system. I have been working for 2.5 hours and got paid the day after straight onto my bank account. Hope I can work more, it's a good extra money if you're looking to boost your monthly budget. Those who rated badly before maybe did something wrong I don't know but it works for me. Looking forward to gigging more. :)

Often lose connection and will be great if you can stay on the same gig when goes back. Is nervous to get all from the start every time
