Omich Player for Android
It took me a minute to figure out that by tapping on the bottom left hand corner of the screen when the song is playing, that it will open another screen with the controls taking over the entire screen. Other than that, this is an excellent, excellent lightweight player. The equalizer is an added bonus. Keep up the good work!
This is the lightest I've come around, with a good deal of customisations and features, being quite stable as well. I've gone through them all on the play store and this was the only premium-like fully free player, excellent! The only thing holding it back from 5 stars is an issue I recently ran into - toggling download album covers from the internet freezes the whole app, forcing me to clear all cache and data, making sure I don't toggle it back on.. Fix this and 5 stars for sure!
But only one problem. The song titles/album names have a few bugs in them such as "rufk21" or something among those lines. I think it has to do with the format being in m4a because mp3 works fine.
It was my favorite player but recently I can't play any songs without the player crashes. - Player leve e objetivo. Essa nova versão tem novos recursos de aparencia e é mais prática. Para mim, o melhor!
That is the only problem I've came across.. The player can't arrange names that STARTS with SAME LETTER only if ONE IS CAPITAL AND THE OTHER IS sMALL letter... Meaning "Angel" and "angel" won't be following each in sorting, they'll just be "miles" apart... Have a look at that sorting mechanism, other than that, this is the best minimalist player
It opens up randomly after I launch another app. Also I would like if it had sorting options.
5 star.. light.....simple..... but ..... global playlist.. can you remove it ? Very annoying because it cant deleted even other player already uninstall ... maybe you put option (*) export playlist enable
Such a promising music app is being killed by not providing updates. Material design is necessary now.
Basic, very clean, intuitive and most importantly customizable. I like the minimallistic and customizable combo. The only quite important feature that it's lacking being a pop-up with letters when sliding through songs, albums, artists etc. so that the user can more easily find something he/she is looking for. I suggest adding that in future updates. Other than that, it's amazing app imho!
I think it might be Marshmallow compatability issues. Doesn't look like the Dev actively updates this app so best to look into another player.
Accidently deleted long review.... Tldr, perfect, but now its crashing on start, plwase fix bugs and ill buy premium because I think this player is other perfect.
I love it for how light it is. A no non-sense music player that does what it's supposed to do. The widgets are really useful and the level of customization it offers is amazing. Would you consider adding a Sort by option in the Songs tab and the Albums tab in the next update? That would make it faultless.
Crashed every time I tried to play a song. Really liked the look of and UI of this app wished it would have worked.
Light, Smooth, Incredibly fast and Free! Interface customizations are minimalist and really cool. Album art downloads over the internet and accurate. No complaints. As far as equalizer is concerned.. Loads the default equalizer present in the OS which is cool with me. Keep up the great work
There's nothing more I cud ask the Omich team to work on this, below is the short list of wat I like the most about this player and believe me there's nothing more u wud want in an audio player 1. Very lite (ram) 2. Doesn't even take 0.2sec to play the music 3. The notification has every feature needed 4. The app has every feature including from "share" to save as ringtone. 5. Allows user to open folder from inside the music app.
It was my favorite player but recently I can't play any songs without the player crashes. - Player leve e objetivo. Essa nova versão tem novos recursos de aparencia e é mais prática. Para mim, o melhor!
No album cover in the music folder, when it downloaded then the album cover shows correctly. But when I tap next, the album cover doesn't change, it still use the previous album cover from previous song I played. At least the album cover change first into the disk cover........ After I install some app that make my android slowing down, this app skipping the music by itself. When I close the app, then music playing normal again.
Has everything I was looking for in a music app. Very small. Way easy to use. No unnecessary stuff thrown in. Folder view. Themes.
No annoying ads, possibility to rewind precisely, good and logical layout
Simple, intelligent interface, does everything I need. My only problems have been occasional freezes and crashes, otherwise 5 stars
This is one the best player available for free. It is the lightest app but it has lots of features missing in other heavy player. Plus point is this app will not irritate you with annoying ads. Hats off to the developers. Keep up the good work. But one point I would like to mention is that the player don't remember the folder having music file which was last selected under Folder section. It will be better if developers can fix the issue so that we don't have to select the folder again.
I tried quite a few players, looking for some lightweight, with low battery, cpu ram and data usage.. I found some others which were good, but basic, they did the job ok.. This is app just as lightweight as any other I tried, but way more complete and more beautiful. Great stuff... One request: .. Please add an option to hide or close the 'Play' or 'Queue' popup that can be loaded from other apps - it is redundant if using your players widget ;)

I love this app for many reasons, 1. Its the lightest player on play store as far I know. 2. It has all features needed for a music player. 3. So many ways to customize the player. 4. Amazing widgets with 100% transparency. But I found that it stop without any particular reason and will not open unless you do a restart. It can be the phone because I was using Omich in my older phone and I didn't have much issues. I am currently using Galaxy S2 with CM11 M12 custom rom. Please fix this issue..Thank you.
This is the player you want to have on your phone, perfection; customisable and best of all no annoying ads no trial periods either.
Player's awesome but only when selecting another track in folder view it takes around about 5 seconds to play the next selected track… That's really annoying…
Been using this since I started having an Android phone. I was surprised it's no longer receiving any updates until recently. This is app is great. I just wish though that it has a 'Recently added' function, but works splendid either way. Keep up the good work and more power!
I've switched music players many times running from bugs or annoying behaviors in the app. This one doesn't try to push weird navigation theories or suddenly start playing again when I unplug my headphones. Very easy. Excellent work.
Worked great on Droid X2 but i recently upgraded to a Galaxy S4 and wanted to keep Omich player but sadly as soon as i click play and the music starts playing i get a crash prompt..the music keeps playing until i press Report or OK
A true minimalist player. It has 'set root folder option'. So, no need to search for the folder containing the songs each and every time you want to listen to them. Place all the songs in one folder and set that as 'root folder'. The next time you open 'folders tab', you can directly browse through the root folder for your songs.
Just takes a dump on all other music players out there. Does it come with widgets? EDIT: found it.
Has everything needed, just one detail feature would make me stop looking: the option to delete a song, especially while playing. Who doesn't shuffle across a song that just needs to never play again :) Thank you developers!
In a world of cluttered music players charging a fortune for you to play your own music, this app is a boon. Keep up the good work!
No nonsense, just lists music in a nice format and plays it. Even plays random music files in nomedia folders. This is how you make a good app.
I was looking for some lightweight players in the market, and I came across this. Its functional, does what it claims, and is pretty good at it too. One thing I missed was a way to see and set the current queue. Else this is probably better than stock. Oh. And a tag editor.
This app is amazing. Easily the best music player available. The only thing I wish it had was more widget customizability like PowerAmp. If i could at least center the text on the widget, it would be 5/5. Keep up the good work!
If the developers used their own tool they would already know that the lists reset themselves when moving between portrait and landscape. What it should do is leave the song being played or relative scroll position intact. Silly developer!
The best no nonsense music player out there. Light on phone's resources. The only problem is the wrong display of song information on lock screen.
