Habit reCode gets you to focus on your goals every morning and if you fail to check-in to one of your coaching sessions, it hits you with a small penalty ($2).

If you stick to your commitment, you pay NOTHING!


Science Based Habit Hack

You have a natural inclination (human bias) to avoid loss. Habit reCode leverages this behavior bias to get you to consistently follow through and create a daily habit. It’s a kind of forced discipline.

This strategy can triple your chances of sticking to a commitment or daily routine compared to self discipline and willpower alone.


How does it work?

- You choose a module based on various success principles (see below)
- Commit to consistent 5 minute, twice daily check-ins (commitment contract)
- Select morning routine and evening routine check-in times.
- Check-in at the committed times as verified by a short journal entry.
You will get success coaching sessions to stay focused and build routines.
- Leverage human bias & accountability for forced discipline
If you fail to check-in, you lose $2 immediately

I read the bad reviews and it appears those ppl can't read the description. Easy to use, no scammy deductions and the company emailed me when I had a couple of missed checkins to see if everything was okay. Honest and good habit forming app. Highly recommended!

Great idea but I am NOT a fan of Facebook nor the public shaming feeling of the penalty. There should be an option to select the type of penalty and there should be a grace period to try the app before penalties kick in. I realized after I wrote this review that you don't need to use the Facebook option but that is not clear in the terms and conditions which is confusing

Great app in that it combines a simple and effective accountability tool (with some teeth!) with brief and tailored coaching tips. Developer is responsive and super-helpful. "Today I'm going to  _______" (user fills in the blank and writers action X). In the evening check in he is asked "Did you complete action X today?" If the user doesn't mark "yes"  by midnight, he is charged $2. He has time by midnight to report. This will make the app so much more powerful in helping to form new habits. I really think that this should be made the main focus of this app.
