My company has purchased Olympus dictation equipment and software for years. That the phone app won't record in a format compatible with the office bound software without an expensive cloud based service is a complete disgrace. The cloud service should stand alone as a value added product and not be forced on me due to incompatible formats. I intend to can the Olympus office equipment and shift to another product asap out of principal. These people are greedy pigs and deserve to be punished. Shame on them.

This is an app put out there simply for advertising. It has poor functionality that inevitably points you to ODDS licensing solution, which incidentally you can't purchase online or even find out how much it costs. The website directs you to local Olympus dealers.

It seems the purpose is to keep the app so basic as to encourage the purchase of the ODDS license subscription. In its stock form, the app records in .amr file format which cannot be read by Olympus' own transcription software supplied with their footpedal equipment. This renders the app useless. For anyone who uses the full featured Recforge to perform dictations, don't bother with this.

I love it and discovered it today! !! Have used my olympus, 2, for ten years! !!! Of course, on my olympus I could hear my voice via my earphones as I was dictating! !! Bless you!!!
