BlueMouse for Android
This is the third app I've tried on my HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE for use with my Foolography D200+ Unleashed on my Nikon D300. Wish I'd searched through the Foolography compatibility page a little more first. Really like my phone. Always have it with me anyway and didn't want to buy a separate GPS receiver. It took a couple tries to connect initially, but now works reliably and connects quickly every time when turning the camera on. Am really looking forward to having my GPS info on all my photos so I can go back to those great photo locations years later or to help find those great hiking trails where the good shots came from.
Big problem with this app is that once installed there is no way to turn it off!
In the app menu there is a exit button.
Tried to use it with an HTC EVO and an Unleashed DX000 on a D7000. The Unleashed unit appears to connect to BlueMouse (says it's connected on the BlueMouse screen, and the Unleashed only blinks green), but the D7000 never shows any GPS position data (the position option is continually dimmed out). BlueMouse will release the shutter on the D7000 though! Even though BlueMouse doesn't work, it makes it further than any of the other BT/GPS apps (and I think I've tried them all). Sure wish it would work!
