Timezone calculations are wrong. For e.g. uses GMT-5.5 hr for Eastern Daylight Time when it should be GMT-4. Best way to calculate is to find Sunrise time at your location and do the calculations.

Good app, but I am uninstalling for 2 reasons. Would not load if GPS not activated. After working for 2 days, app realized my broadband connection is SLOW and wouldn't work.

Given that the calculations are based on local sunrise and sunset times and what portion of the day for a given day of the week, the app tells me Rahu Kalam in San Francisco is from 4:07 PM to 5:23 PM on Thursday January 24. Rahu Kalam for a Thursday of 12 hours from sunrise to sun set is 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM. Given my days are shorter the time should be approximately around 1:30 PM and end a bit sooner.

Considering this app asks for gps location and time, it seems kinda off...by about 30mins. Have double checked with other app and with local pancham. Also, notification should allow a set time for daily reminder eg. say at 8:00am etc. to be able to plan important meetings etc. 2 stars as I feel you could improve else I would have given 1. Improve the above and I'll rate you higher.
