Profile Manager (w/ schedules)

My goodness, it's not often you use an app that works so well, not to mention that the developer is truly dedicated to this app. As I said, it works perfectly on my device and does exactly what it says it will do. In fact, because of how well it works right from the start, I quickly bought the paid version, Profile Manager PRO. Furthermore, all questions sent to the developer were answered so quickly, I was astounded. My device: Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Canadian version SM-N920W8, running Android Nougat 7.0.

Seems like night modes have to be set for both before and after midnight, if you want different settings at weekends. Gets stuck on Friday (weekday) turning into Saturday morning (won't transition). Alarm volume (in Clock app) will respond to 0% volume but not 6% (stays on full volume). Otherwise everything works really well and great app. More icons please.

I have tested many apps to manage Settings profiles, and found this to have the best balance of features and usability. Great functionality with lots of settings which can be stored in profiles. Elegant Material Design user interface.

Location as a condition is only available in the PRO app? Forget that! That's the whole reason I wanted a profile manager...

Uninstalled because clock alarm still loud even if volume placed to 6%.

I am so happy with this app. Simple, easy to use and setup, clean, and it's not fussy when you want to switch profiles. There is one option that I would love to be included but I'm giving it 5 stars anyway because you can't account for every single tiny option given how many brands and models of smartphones are out there. That one option would have to be "interruptions." I set the volume down for all volume categories (alarm, media, etc.) for a silent profile but there is no option to set so that interruptions are silent too when changing from profile to profile. Not an issue for me since it's just 3 more clicks/button presses on my phone. And maybe the option to silence interruptions is there in this app but I just can't seem to find it. Either way, this app deserves 5 starts for being free and doing exactly what profile management is intended to manage.

It does what it's supposed to do. For those complaining that it doesn't work on Nougat, there's a new feature built in to Nougat that requires apps like this to have permissions to Do Not Disturb. Once I enabled that permission, everything worked fine. On my GS7, it's here: Settings>Lock Screen and Security>Other Security Settings>Do Not Disturb Permission. Enable the permission for this app, and you're done.

Although it appears a little laggy at times (when setting up new profile), can't really complain. Would like to have more icons.

Amazing! I tried SO many profile managers and they were all SO bad/broken/abandoned. But this one is just fine. I could go for a tabbed interface to switch among profiles/rules/locations though.

Mostly does what it says, but certainly not perfect. I have it set up to put the phone in silent mode while I'm at work (based on location) and it sometimes flips briefly to non-silent mode allowing the phone to ring while I'm still at work.

This app was very good in old version. But now, it not change profile in profile rule. My device use Lolipop. Pls fix it :)

A good profile scheduler that works well on Android 7. Missing the headphones and car mode / dock triggers though.

Seems OK so far, easy to setup. There is no condition that will trigger a profile based on a headset being plugged in

Doesn't allow combination of criteria and location is reserved for paid version. Not useful at all, not even for testing

Gives notification error whenever you switch profiles.

Now that the rules can be prioritized, this app supports a great variety of use cases. The ability to use both time AND location as conditions allows, for example, setting silent mode at night, but only if I am home. The UI is pretty slick - not that you'll actually use it much once you get the automatic rules set up well...

Developer is great, quick response. Recently I have discovered the location feature is not working properly. Could be isolated to phone models and software. Every feature i requested has been added and developer is top notch

Can you add an option that profiles don't "activate" and "deactivate"? What I need is simply a way for one-shot system settings adjustments. In other words, I tap on a profile, it changes the system settings, and that's it.

It adds profiles that I miss from my Nokia phones. This way things can be loud outside, calm at work and quite while sleeping. Thank you for making this app!

Finally great and simple app for profiles. Easy to use and set up what you need for you profiles.

After installing I entered 1 new profile for testing. Gave it some rules to work with. Activated the profile. Rules don't work (e.g. wifi doesn't get switched off). Pls see to that.

Still needs functionality to be added, like gps on activation and more profiles

I realy like this app it is excellent... Please support and go for pro version! Great customer care, they deserve all the praise! I suggest to add option for location by cell network ID (it can be more battery frinedly).

So I went paid for exactly one reason: location detection. Sadly, it does not work as advertised. Not only did I have to widen the area to larger than what I wanted, but the profile did not switch back after I left said area. I will re-rate if this is fixed.

Algunas funciones van regular y no funcionan al 100%. Los botones de las notificaciones dejan de funcionar y hay q ejecutar de nuevo la app. Una pena porque es de las más elegantes que hay.

The Profiles are NOT switching. Always seems to think that I am in my car even after that Bluetooth connection has been off for hours. I dropped the rule to the bottom and set it to return to normal when 'conditions not met' (just that my car bluetooth is connected...nothing fancy) and it still says I'm in the car.

It needs to expose the "Priority only" "Do Not Disturb" mode to get a five from me, though.

Does all that I need to do, however, time based rules always occur about 3-4 minutes after the scheduled time. Hope this is fixed in the future.

I am running Android 5.1.1 with MIUI 7.1 Global. The profiles I created show in notification bar but switching between them (manually) doesn't work. It's a shame because this is a really useful app.

Caused my Samsung S6 to crash several times within minutes of installing this. Avoid.

I will buy the paid version if it includes airplane mode toggle support.

The app crashes while profile changes. After the phone is set to silent. The changes after that become ineffective.
