Stupid app. Doesn't run on real time and never changes when you drive good only when you drive in a way that's not considered suitable. Freezes and always goes back to the log in page when you try to go on something else. I only went with this insurance because it was cheap but I doubt I'll stay for another year

Absolutely dreadful! Crashes and loggs out constantly. The telematics are awful to boot. Safe driving is rated poorly but having to pull emergency stops yields a braking score of 100? Pathetic.

As previous comments it goes back to signing in, when you go to journeys! The help line phone number is not correct! How do i know the app is reading the same speed I see on the sign posts, as my speed rating has dropped, and I don't think I've been speeding! This app needs to continuosly tell you the speed limit at all times. I have a zero score for braking, as others have, if I brake any less, I will not stop. There is no where to contact the app people direct, the only number to use, gets you an insurance rep, who know nothing about the app. Due to these faults, my score is dropping! Is anyone reading these reviews at smart miles? Who do I talk too about the app, someone who knows how to sort it, would be ideal!

I've done a grand total of 7 miles with my box fitted and already received a mere 31/100 on my braking. I'm a pretty chill driver and focus on giving my passengers a pleasant, comfortable journey over an exhilarating one. Steady acceleration, steady braking, smooth steering etc. I did pull out of a busy junction with much harder acceleration than usual and yet I still receive a 100 on my acceleration. My foot was almost flat to the floor so how that makes any sense is beyond me. Alas I'm not complaining, means I can race my friends off the lights without having to worry about my insurance being cancelled (I'm joking). However I mustn't ever brake just in case. On a lighter note the app is running flawlessly for me, contrary to most other users.

Fix your app. Every time I press journeys it takes me back to the login screen, the app has numerous bugs and often has the wrong times. Now for some reason it won't show me my scores, how am I supposed to know how I'm doing? And whenever I try to go on the graph or journeys the app force closes. What on earth are you people doing?

This is the worst app I have ever used. It constantly fails to refresh and asks for sign in details at every change of screen. If it didn't remember them I would have stopped using it months ago

App is very unreliable. Crashes constantly and takes you back to the login screen. The telematics is crazy. I am a learner driver and have barely driven my car. I am very careful and I have a low braking score which by the looks of other reviews might be because I live somewhere where there are a few speed bumps. It seems to be very unfair and I will be very disappointed if I don't get a good deal for renewal. It has the makings of a scam and I will be contacting someone to request an investigation.

Discombobulated by the scoring of this app. It's a complete nonsense and UNFAIR to a perfectly safe driver.

The latest update is cool aesthetically but it's not functional at all!! It doesn't seem like it's logging anything... scoring doesn't change, data doesn't change and the graph and journey tool just causes the app to restart and in the event that I get into these menu's... there never seems to be any data in there... then it crashes again ???????? roll on next update

App doesn't work every time I log in and go to look at a journey it takes me back into the log in screen. So i am unable to see my recorded journeys which isn't helpful at all. Needs sorting out please

This app sucks donkey balls, just a pathetic excuse of an app, can't look at any journeys or graph as it takes you back to the login screen! I agree with jake and say what on earth are you people doing!!! Extremely stressful app to try and use!! Sort it out!!

Fix this bloody app!! It is not user friendly at all it keeps crashing to the log in screen when ever I click journeys... How am I supposed to see how I'm doing if that happens all the time!! It is beyond infuriating.

The driver scores are easily laid out. But please fix the graph! In the 6 weeks I've had the app it has never worked. If you're not going to fix it, remove the feature that does nothing.

App is absoultly awful! Keeps on logging you out constantly meaning you lose your progress on what your doing and have to log back in again. The app itself looks very nice but its a shame it doesnt work.

So many glitches on the latest update. I have no idea if my score is accurate as I get automatically logged out within the journeys section. The s ore system is awful anyway but I am aware this is more an issue with the actual insurance than the app itself. Either way I will definitely not be renewing with Hastings smartmiles!

The app works fine, but the insurance itself is a con. Promotes the fact you can save money by 'safe' driving. 2 months in and I've never scored a point for my braking score. It has been permanently on zero. Explanation from Hastings... do less stop start driving. I live in a city, what do they want me to do? Ignore the lights and rush hour traffic? Tempted to report them for fraud. How can I save money as promoted if I can't score any points? Certainly won't be renewing with them next year!

In theory, a good app but needs a lot of improving. Constantly crashing, and no indication of how ratings are calculated etc. It could be good if it's updated and made more stable. Data from the box however, is completely inaccurate due, I suspect, to the use of cheap-ass GPS devices not recording enough GPS points. Random inaccurate penalties are not what a new driver needs, especially as driving is stressful enough for new drivers. Less than a week in... and I would strongly advise NOT being insured with Hastings Direct. Hopefully we can get through the year without having to cancel and incur £££££ charges.

Keeps crashing and taking me back to log in page. Doesn't show you when you have accelerated to harsh or have been speeding it's just an overall. Where as the last black box I had gave you a rating for every journey and didn't crash once.

The app keeps crashing when ever you try to use one of its functions. The acceleration is broken. I have been on 0 all year, I haven't registered a single point. I live in the centre of a city so its impossible for me to pull of fast, but the box seems to think I'm living in a Fast and Furious film doing quarter mile drag races every time I pull off.

Poor.... if you don't have access to your data how do you know if what insurance is telling you is truthful we are paying for this service it's not free all though the app is the box cost £250 and how do we know how accurate the information it is sending to our insurance company is I think this SCAM! should be investigated. Not all young driver's are idiot's and insurance companies are exploiting them all.

This app has the potential to be great and I like the new update in terms of the aesthetics. However it keeps logging me out which is teally frustrating. It also takes far too long to build your score back up if you do anything poor, it says my acceleration is still really low even though ovee the past week I have made sure that I am accelerating evenly and not too fast. Please fix this!

This app is absolute shite, no matter what you try to access you get bounced back to the log in screen. Scores are a con too, there's no way any driver could ever score high enough to get a decent discount!

It thinks I'm driving harshly when I'm just going over speed bumps (I'm a careful driver) and marks me down very harshly for driving after 10pm once, when the majority of my driving is between 8am-7pm, then takes ages to build the score back up again. Poor app and device, and will be incredibly disappointed if that's reflected in a lack of reduction in my insurance cost at the end of the year.

Has failed to ever record acceleration, which shows as zero. Overall score calculated using this zero so pushes down the average. Then you get threatening letters from Admiral when you drop below 40. We drive an i10. We couldn't accelerate fast if we wanted to!

Always crashes, terrible app, can't view any other options as it crashes constantly and takes you back to login screen. Needs to be fixed. I also don't think the telematics are correct as I personally sat with my son in his first car with a GPS running and he did not speed yet telematics said he did. Defiantly not correct as I was sat there with GPS. Disappointed.

This is a very poor app which constantly crashes and makes it very difficult to monitor what journeys you have done and when. Simply because the app constantly crashes when you select the different reports and try to interigate the journeys, etc. Whilst this may be my daughter's car and I am a named driver, and a fleet manager and I use much more sophisticated telematics solutions and wiuld recommend this interface to anyone and for drivers who need to have this device fitted to their cars it really makes it difficult to understand where they could go wrong or improve their driving ability and habits. You need to up your game where it becomes a learning tool and you might find more receptive customers and have less complaints. Put it this way the app puts the information into question and Your customers loose faith in the system and anything shown on it. Let's see some effort for your customers

keeps closing on me - only screens I can access without the app closing is the initial home screen with your ratings and the journeys page. every time I try to click on anything else, I either get sent back to the login or the app closes!

Crashes , doesn't show you your scoring, takes to long to update journey's. What's the point of having something that doesn't even work, especially when they charge you over £200 for the bloody thing .

Reinstalled the app. Although now latest trips show up the ratings haven't changed. How can we improve our driving! Pls get it sorted Hastings!
