Global Shark Tracker

Thought I'd give this a go having received a credible report of a tagged shark off the coast at a beach 1 mile from my home. App shows no sharks anywhere within a 1000km radius. Then the App froze within a minute of using it. Uninstalling...

I am able to see the sharks name, but if I want to view it's profile, or check it's path of freezes. Even just searching for a shark. I'm so jealous of all you who it works for because I was so excited to hear about this app. Very disappointed.

Anytime you go to do anything the app just freezes. I even tried to restart my phone to see if it would work and it still doesn't work. No matter what you touch it freezes. Not worth your time to download it.

Having the same kind of crash problems others have reported when I try to show a shark's path or view their profile. I love the idea but as of now it's like it's still in development phase and I'll keep the app but it does need plenty of urgent fixes in order to even work properly.

I would love for this app to become fully functional! There are a lot of bugs and it won't load any shark data or let me see their paths. When I try to click on a ping, it freezes and force closes. PLEASE FIX IT

I had this app on my last phone and enjoyed watching the travels of the sharks. So I'm watching Shark Week and think, "oh, I should reinstall Shark Tracker!" But when I did, the last pings were from last year!!! Not cool. I will reinstall if and when updates occur, because like I said, it has the potential to be a pretty cool app.

It froze a bit at first but now works awesome. I REALLY wish you could select favorite sharks though and not have to keep going to their profiles & stuff just have a favorites list lol

Don't just port your app, it causes awful experiences like this one. All it does is freeze if you click on a shark then you get an ANR.

....hate that it freezes more than half the time, won't show the path others and doesn't seem to update regularly. I am disappointed and uninstalling....please fix!

The map is nice. When I try to check out the profile of a particular shark like Genie right off Cape Cod, it freezes up. Genie has yet to move.

This app didn't work once for me. Any time I tried to do anything (even access settings), the app would freeze and then crash. Really sucks, because I like the idea behind this app. Uninstalling. Please fix the bugs and I'll consider downloading again.

App constantly freezes or "stops working". A real shame because I love the idea of being able to track sharks all over the globe. However that is hard to do when the app designed to do that doesn't function. Please fix the issues.

Neat concept and I think it would be totally necessary, but the coding of the app could use some work. I can open it fine and look at the world map of sharks but as soon as I click on one of the dots; my phone freezes.

Horrible. Period. Doesn't work. Clicked tracker, found a shark near me but guess what year? 2013! Good job guys

The app wouldn't even load so I didn't get to see it. I hope it doesn't lead to the further demise of sharks. If you are worried about shark attacks stay out of the water.

It crashes after about 30 seconds every time, mainly when I try and search for a shark or try and get one to show me it's path. Please fix guys I really want to be able to see what sharks are doing whenever I please.

This app dies NOT work at all. It freezes immediately upon launch and will not respond to anything. Constantly telling me to hit refresh is useless advice. The only way out is to force stop. Would give zero stars if I could

Its fiddly and not real well thought out. put simple buttons. ie Refresh. Show all. show near me. I did manage to get it working by chance??? I had to click show all then hide all refresh, close the app and start again selected show all and its working. Thanks for the app being free but :)

When this app works it is awesome! But.... it does crash very often and gets super frustrating. Sometimes it won't even open, and sometimes even trying to see shark profiles will freeze the app and make it close. It is lots of fun to view each sharks story and where they've been though, so it isn't getting uninstalled yet (:

Downloaded this app as I love Sharks and want to find out more about them, like where to find them. Never seen one as I like in UK. Works fine up until I try and track a shark or view its profile then freezes. Either I have to close it (to get out of the app) or my phone force closes it. Have a Samsung galaxy note 4. Dissapointed with this app :(. Really want it to work!

I have various degrees of success with this app. Right now after I had to reinstall, this version doesn't work. I was checking nearly every day and frequently multiple times a day. I am a huge supporter of OCEARCH and I really hope they get this app stabilized.

Needs a reload or something to take you back to main ocean view once you look at a sharks tack lines/info.... It's a pain to have to close the app out and restart to track a different shark

I love the idea and potential of this app, but so far it has only worked right after I installed it the first time. Now it won't work AT ALL! I have tried closing out the app completely, uninstalling then re installing, tried switching wifi, tried on my 4g, even restarted my entire phone twice and it STILL just will not work. It's very disappointing.. 2 stars. :(

This is such a cool idea for an app, but mine freezes every time I try to do ANYTHING but just look at the map. I can't track, or look at profiles, or even go to my settings without the app freezing and having to force close it.

Nice concept, too bad it doesn't work. Basically if you try to do ANYTHING on it, the app just freezes up. I like the idea and it would be neat if they could get it working. Unfortunately looking through other reviews, this has been a common ongoing problem for awhile now. Too bad.

I really like the app. The only thing that is killing it is the fact that it keeps freezing up and shutting down right after the freeze up. It shouldn't be my phone I've got an LG V10 with the the latest software out there. So please fix it, it looks to be a great app.

If you learn how to use the app it works. Mary Lee pinged off my coast just yesterday afternoon. You have to refresh the feed. Again I can't stress enough to learn how to use the app. This app works just fine and I have a samsung galaxy 5. 5 stars because it works but also because it's a great app. I love great whites. I love knowing when they have come to my waters.

I downloaded the app when it first came out. Once you learn how to use it, it is great. I removed out b/c I live in central Pennsylvania. I just put it back on my phone because I have two beach trips planned to two different states. I can't wait to use it on the Atlantic coast this summer and then late fall.

I was so excited when I saw this app but all it has done is shown me one shark's path. The rest of the time it won't load anything or it just shuts down. So disappointed:(

This app has only worked 3 times since I downloaded it every other time all it says is loading and does nothing !! I would LOVE if you could make this app work it's very interesting :-) OK I downloaded again thinking something might have changed. I was wrong please fix this app!!!!!!

I downloaded the Android app and the map is great and there are pins showing shark locations, but when I try to track their course, the app freezes and I have to force close it. I tried many times, but it never works. It's a great idea for an app, I hope you can fix it.

I can't get the app to run smoothly on either my phone or my tablet. It freezes and force-closes immediately after opening half the time, and the other half it just locks up when I click on any of the locator points.

The basic first map screen works, nothing much else works that I dug into before giving up.

I think that this app has great potential if it would work. App freezes when you try to track sharks or view their profiles. Definitely buggy.

Ive download it twice and it won't work. Not very impressed. Really wanted this to work...

Downloaded this app on both my phone and my tablet. It immediately crashes if I try to go on any of the pages aside from tracking which I'm quite sad about because it seemed like a really interesting app.

I try to click on any sharks path or profile and it just freezes. Definitely needs an update. Would be a cool idea if it worked.

Seriously do you even test your app before releasing it? My friends on iPhone use this with no issues. But on Google's flagship Nexus 6P this app doesn't function for more than 2 seconds without crashing/hanging. Get your act together seriously!

It forces it to close as soon as you open. Before the upgrade, worked great! I had galaxy s4 worked now i have s5 and nothing. I will give it more stars when it's fixed.
