MonkeyMote gives you a full-fledged wireless music remote control for your Android phone.
It fully supports the popular foobar2000, MediaMonkey, Winamp, AIMP and JRiver Media Center media players.
The app connects to the media player running on your Windows PC via your WiFi network and allows you to view information about currently playing tracks and control every important playback feature.

Please note that the automatic server discovery feature requires at least Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is not supported by all devices. It is disabled by default on devices that are not running at least Android 4.4 due to an operating system bug that can trigger reboots on some devices.

Works wonders for foobar2000 in Windows, the best free player for the OS. A little flakey in auto search sometimes. In Preferences<>Mediamote unchecking "Register with Bonjour" helped me. We don' need no stinkin' bonjour 'round heah. Just click your Network Connections<>Details to get your IP and enter it/them manually. I've got both wired and WiFi entered and it will connect to either.

Have been using this for little over a month now: this is a no-frills to-the-point tool, does what it's supposed to do beautifully, more reliable than any other (usually overloaded) Android remote I tried. I couldn't care less about apps that take up 50 megs, take ages to start (on my slightly dated phone), and provide a million features that do exactly nothing to make my life easier. This is the opposite.
