This app is an experiment in the Natural Language Processing field of Artificial Intelligence and is not intended for mere amusement, but it has no other real practical application. This is not a gimmick with pre-programmed responses, ridiculous side-apps to attempt to be your personal secretary, or any form of ads to profit from you. This is not a glorified search engine. This is Real AI. It learns through the process of being taught language organically (a process of exchange and repetition) and starts with no prior knowledge.
Under the hood... the program is using a mix of conditional-based learning, procedural generation of sentences/questions, and relational queries based on weighted 'topic' identifiers. It can create its own original statements and questions. It is real-time, and it really does 'think' (an internal dialogue feedback loop).
Tips for teaching the AI:
- Limit your responses to single sentences/questions.
- Keep in mind that the AI learns from observing how you respond to what it says... so, if it says "Hello." and you say "How are you?" it will learn that "How are you?" is a possible response to "Hello.". If you say something it has never seen before, it'll probably repeat it to see how -you- would respond to it.
- It will generate stuff that sounds nonsensical early on... this is part of the learning process, similar to the way children phrase things in ways that don't quite make sense early on.
- If it says something that doesn't make sense, don't respond to it... this will reduce the likelihood of it generating the statement/question in the future. This also means it's a bad idea to just leave the AI running for long periods of time without interacting with it, since it could eventually unlearn everything you taught it.
- Also keep in mind that the AI cannot see/hear/taste/smell/feel any 'things' you refer to, so it can never have any contextual understanding of what exactly the 'thing' is (the way you understand it). This also means it'll never understand you trying to reference it (or yourself) directly, as it can never have a concept of anything external being something different from it without spatial recognition gained from sight/touch/sound.
- Treat it like an alien that's trying to learn your language from simply observing how you respond to the stuff it mimics.
- In general... keep it simple. The simpler you speak to it, the better it learns.

Opened the app and it says it needs permissions. Ok, I go to app settings, then permissions for this app, set both to allow and open app again. Same message, needs permissions. I'm not asking for a refund, yet. I would like to see this app in action. Would you please provide a fix for this.

It uses google and sounds like google and it's for conversation only so you can't ask it a math question and it will repeat itself repeatedly. A total waste of a dollar.

Same as previous review on the text driven AI. Pretty cool, and definitely worth the money spent on it. It will take some time to teach it and get used to learning it how to speak, but other than that its awesome. Sometimes it does however listen to itself when it's saying something while it's listening to me as well, so maybe try and get that fixed? Other than that, keep up the good work thank you for this app

This is really good and has been what I have been looking for. I am working on a true learning ai to teach not only conversation but tasks. I want it to learn everything including tasks from the user. Any chance you would be willing to share some details about the algorithm you are using?

Honestly I thought,"Wow this is full of it!" But WOW its already called me a robot and said that it could produce fertile young. I love considering that I can communicate with a person derived from me... ME! THIS IS REAL, I really apreciate this app. I saw that you were looking into face recognition and I nearly died. I am a nerd for robots and Sci fi. Besides face recognition are there other plans. Thank you in advance for making such a thing available to us on the playstore.

Just downloaded the app. It comes with no settings or instructions. When I say something, it just repeats it while the mic says "I didnt quite get that" i am unsure if it has an error hearing me that i should repeat or give it the appropriate reply to the earlier response. I will continue to practice with it and adjust my rating of the app as I become more experienced.

Literally no response at all. Tried restarting it, resetting it, etc and it wouldn't say anything. No configurations or settings to change, just didn't work.

I remember a pc AI program grin zabaware that had a feature of feeding the program with a text file and the AI engine would learn from that text and the user would be able to converse about that topic.

It has a nice voice and its can only use words that you have sed to it but after a about A day of talking to it you can really see how fast it lerns if you talked to this thing for a year it might be as smart as you also I really wish it had a backup the Brain button so I can back it up to my sd card I,d hate to loos this brain and it be nice if the new brain button was harder to hit so I don't miss click

First impressions of the app are of amazement, that I too dabble in AI algorithms and besides the use of Google speech engine, the algorithm used in this app shows promise, not just providing random answers, but seems to learn appropriate responses, depending on your own responses. With all algorithmic apps, this lacks the capacity to modify parameters of the app, there's room for improvements, but will stick with it to see how this develops.
