IFFI 2016 Smartphone App brings to you a myriad spectrum of colours from the 47th International Film Festival of India, Goa from 20th- 28th November, 2016. The App has been designed and maintained by the New Media Wing of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.
An extremely user-friendly App, IFFI 2016 hosts multi-faceted features including film trailers, film screening schedules, and interactions with nationally and internationally acclaimed filmmakers and celebrities.
This interactive App brings alive the International Film Festival on your smartphones by live streaming of an array of events straight from the venue. These include inaugural and closing ceremonies of the festival. Also, all the Master Classes with the experts of the film fraternity can be viewed live on your smartphone through this App.
Intrinsic details have been kept in mind to give users an enriching experience on the App. Users can share updates from the App on their Social Media accounts by an easy share option.
Talkathon- A unique initiative by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting providing a platform for Twitter users across the world to engage directly to the guest/s by using hashtag #IFFITalkathon which will be live-streamed on IFFI 2016 App. You can be a part of these Talkathons through this App by posting questions live via @MIB_India, the Twitter handle of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. These multimedia interactive sessions can be viewed live on the App thus enabling the guest/s to interact with Twitter users on real-time basis.
The platform also gives you live Twitter feed on #IFFI2016 at one place from the widely popular and trusted Twitter handle of the Ministry with over seven lakh followers.
As IFFI aims at providing a common platform for the cinemas of the world to project the excellence of the film art; contributing to the understanding and appreciation of film cultures of different nations, this App conglomerates all dimensions and views related to the event through its various sections. How can some one use web views to build entire app?? did you guys write a single line of code other thn using navigation drawer and few badly designd list views? also very bad functionalities. Learn something from other iffi apps. Think from users point of view and not on making development easy, worst app i ever seen. Don't spoil IFFI name.

Although it's a good initiative by DFF, the app design and content is amateurish. The only motive for me to download the add was to see if I could acquire screening tickets using it, answer to which is negative.
