3DR Solo

This definitely isnt "THE SOLEX APP" but man it sure is a good app very trust worthy!! Landing with no sweating hands is a good feeling and i enjoy the Solo app its very good and is very smart i put it up there with the solex its just.11. missing some things thattsm,,4j

If you get the "bad json response" error it's because you no longer need to login, as customer support says: "The login option has been disabled from the Solo app, it is no longer necessary for the users to register and create an account with us. You will also have full access to all Solo features and smart shots with no issues whatsoever."

I love my solo but I really love the solex app. It's way better but it costs $30.00. If the solo app had all the cool stuff the solex app has I would gladly rate the solo app 5 stars. Hopfully one day solo will step up and be better than solex. And I have issues with camera feed on solo but not solex.

I can not log in or set up an account. Tried everything. Google, faceshit I mean book and email. Nothing . I bought a new old stock solo. I have not got to fly it not once. It will not pair. It will not factory reset. I'm pretty much heartbroken. I was soooo ready to get it and fly. WRONG !!!! I have emailed customer service several times. Called and left messages. No response at all. So I'm about ready to throw it off of the 18th floor of the hotel. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Love the app very user friendly. 5he flight school is great for being a first time flyer. Only thing I can't get to work is i can log in. Keeps reading as "i/o failure"

The app will not let me sign up for an account, it says, bad json response. I tried email sign up, Google sign up and neither works. Also cannot get the password to work for the solo link wifi. Please help! Thanks

The app won't let me watch the safety videos. This is the problem with having wireless everything. It never works. Can't download the initial update to the controller/drone.

Amazing app well worth the money at just over $600-$700 including all accessories and upgrades like led polar pro lights, prop guards and the must have leg extentions to protect gimbal when landing(honestly should come with drone or gimbal upgrade as without you are risking it) wish we could add some kind of collision avoidance features to drone and app(maybe sensors can be added thru the accessory port for this type of upgrade as most new high end drones are coming with collision avoidance built in).

I love my solo. The issue I have is the app no longer works on my devices. I continuously get bad json response. What good is the app if I cant log in and view my gopro video.

This app is super cool. It let's you seen what the drone sees and it feels like you are flying. It is a super cool experience that enables you to orbit around something or follow you every where you go without having to fly it your self????

As a noob, I had some initial user errors with my GoPro 3+ connecting and showing video with the gimbal, but I tinkered with the connections and GoPro settings and now it works great. Still playing with it to figure out the quirks. I did get the issue where I lost control and the drone flew up almost into a tree. I realized later that because the power was so low, the drone was auto-returning home, which can be a problem if you haven't reset home to your current location. So, it was trying to fly about 50 miles on a low battery, because it doesn't know it's own limits... I hit pause and it stopped. I then landed it manually.

This is in my top 3 drones to fly including the app which is very well designed. It's unfortunate that 3RD decided to quit because the SOLO is a winner in my book. Buy one while you can!

Have uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted phone several times. I can still not create an account. After I enter my info i press enter and nothing happens. No error message.

My solo and app worked the first time I set them both up as instructed and they both worked perfectly. I had so much fun flying the first day that I immediately started looking for spare batteries to extend my fun I was having. I am hooked and will now start working on modifying and customizing my drone.

Well being that it lost GPS signal ended, up crashing somewhere in a cypress swamp, and has not been found , I really have a bad taste in my mouth about this app. My wife saved her ass off to get this and between losing the drone and my gopro, needless to say it was a very expensive loss! All of a sudden it said solo return home, went straight up in the air, started to move and then lost GPS signal and next I here solo crashed. That was the end of my drone and with all the technology you think they would have a homing beacon attached to it just in case you don't see where it goes down, so you can track it. Don't think I'll try this one again!!!

For anybody asking about way point navigation, Solo can do it. But not with this app. It makes use of Tower for that. It is completely autonomous. From take off to landing. Look for Tower.

This app stopped working after a recent Android update. 3D robotocs no longer supports the app. PERSPECTIVE BUYETS OF 4D ROBOTICS, BEWARE@

Pretty amazing thought i was buying a expensive toy. Just the most fun piece of camera equipment ever. amazing!

Drone flying made easy...simple by following the basic guidelines and instructions...first flight was flawless.

This app has a nice feel to it it's snappy and it makes something that could be complicated simple and easy.

The stupid app seems to be the only way to perform updates and yet it can never go passed the "download update" part. The controller is useless without that preflight update.

After reinstall the app. It won't let me login with my email address and password! Please 3dr developer fix this problem. Thanks

This app is as bare boned as it gets. The Solex app does things this app cannot compute. Diference between throwing a bullet and shooting it. Buy Solex. You will be amazed.

I download this app three days ago and I have been trying and trying to register with either my email or Google account,, no good.

Great app, beautiful and simple interface that adds to the controller, and not replicates it or takes away. Wished the updates were still coming out. Two of my 3DR Solo still have years of useful service to go.

Great software, my iPad stopped running the solo app after IOS update. This saved me, great software

Dowloads update, then when you switch the WiFi to instal the update, it wants to download update again, stupid app forgot it already did download the freaking update.

This company is the worst.. They don't even have a phone number.. I think they are going out of business.

Absolutely love my solo, the app works great except it won't set my performance settings for solo and gimbal speed? Using Sony Xperia z3. Also won't show all the text in the smart shot instructions / tutorials. Is my phone clipping the app viewing area in settings etc. I get no "apply" button in the performance setting screen

When are going to be able to live streaming to Facebook with our 3DR Solos. We are getting left behind with the live streaming to facebook feature, we need to kick some DJI'S A$$, hurry up 3DR!!

Flight and flight patterns work well. With out live video or picture on device app is almost usless to fly. Camera is working in go pro app to same device that solo app is operated with no camera feed showing up. Please fix camera feed.

for new people I learned the hard way not take my battery life on the drone below 10% it'll go stupid and fly straight up your only hope is to keep smashing and holding the land button to keep it at low altitude till the battery dies because if you've lost GPS signal Wich I did It won't know we're home is but I'm guessing as to why it shot straight up

Doesn't give any detailed data about distance traveled, flight time, or anything else DJI gives. And the photos have to be downloaded off your GoPro ... Would be nice if they saved to your phone.

The app is quite well done. The only thing missing that could make this app better is waypoints flying. The Solo quad copter is also outstanding. The potential capabilities of this drone make it one of the best on the market.

Great update...finally. Played around with some of the Smart Shots and, with some tinkering, got some decent video. Thanks for sticking in there to deliver on your promises, 3DR.

Video feed no longer works.... About to return and get a dji. Very frustrated 3rd trip to best buy (45 minutes away again)

I love using the apparently while flying. Works very well. Hope more features come even though 3DR is taking its focus away from consumer drones.... but very happy with the app where it stands.
