Mms Backup Restore

Took me about 5 tries to finally restore a backup. And even then it was incorrect!

Kept getting errors. Program never successfully acquired root access. I'm sure that's why it did work.

Don't know what's wrong with y'all but this app works beautifully for me. Simple and effective. Do you know how hard it is to find a backup app that works for MMS? The only thing that could make it better would be automatic cloud backup....

Backs up okay, but when it comes to restore texts it takes to long and some times it just stops mid way. It's way to much trouble.

I am constantly flashing different Roms. This allows me to keep my messages. Simple interface. Not perfect, but it works.

(Jan 31, 2013) DO NOT BUY THIS. This app does NOT restore MMS messages (the main selling point) and fails immediately on some devices! Too late for a refund, but not too late for a warning! On devices with AOSP ("Pure") Google Messaging: Backup button gives "Backup Failed" immediately, and no backup is made of either SMS or MMS. Obviously, restoring causes FC crashes. On devices with Samsung Messaging (Galaxy S3 "TouchWiz"): Backups do not restore MMS messages unless running the EXACT same firmware, which makes it pointless for upgrading/changing 4.0 ICS to 4.1 JB, for example. I have found Titanium Backup's Yellow "Messages (SMS & MMS)" button DOES restore MMS across versions, and across "TouchWiz" -> AOSP messaging. Plus, it's free, so you can test it out at least.

I really love this app and it has done well for me for awhile, but I recently upgraded to android 4.4 kit-kat and this app does not function on the new os. Please add kit-kat support and I will give five stars!

I have over 6,000 SMS's and about 35 MMS's so far and have been using this for almost a year and it works just as stated. Was using it for both SMS's & MMS'S but since Jelly Bean's built-in SMS backup utility has been vastly improved I only use this for my MMS's now. I update and experiment with my ROM a lot, not to mention I like to back up my SMS/MMS's once a week, so this REALLY helps me.

It doesn't even attempt to backup my MMS lol. Just fails. K.

Worked fine for awhile...then one day all my backups disappeared.

Flashing a new rom and thought I would give this app a try just to restore MMSs. It seemed to back up fine but unfortunately it gives a "restore failed" error when I try to restore. I made 2 separate backups and neither work. In my experience, don't bother.

Using Galaxy Nexus. Finally an MMS restore.

Does not allow me to backup one device and restore on another without workarounds modifying the xml file and merging backups from old device into backup of new decice

Backed up and recovered over 200 MMS and SMS on my Galaxy Nexus. Takes time to process. Be patient.

This app works great on my verizon galaxy nexus. And it's very simple to use with a good user interface.

This app crashed on restore. Also, what it did restore was out of order and had no dates. Thank god I had a recent Titanium backup of my phone. That worked. And it was free. Heading to Play store for a fefund. Save your money and your time!

Flash a lot of roms on my Droid X. Restoring MMS data with other apps failed. This app works!

Exactly what is needed! Backs up both SMS and MMS and (best part) does not remove your old messages when restoring. This is the first app I have seen to do this. Highly recommend. Tested with Galaxy Nexus.

Doesn't work. Says the backup has started but doesn't do anything.

Fails instantly. I tried backing up to two different drives and folders in addition to the default one. Darn! Perhaps a Jelly Bean issue.
