South Beach Diet Tracker for Android
It lacks as a calorie tracker. It really only works for SB foods. The news feed would be great but you can't open any of the articles or blogs to read them on your phone through the app. This makes the app almost useless.
Kept crashing and could not even use it on Android . Sad that this won't work, especially after spending so much money on food. Would have really liked to be able to track.
Difficult to track non-southbeach meals. Doesn't connect to scales. Ended up using 2 apps to track food exercise and weight. Good for recipes only.
I too am not able to get this app to work on Android. It comes up just fine until I log into my account. It now immediately crashes every time I try to start it. Cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted phone. Nothing works. Just spent almost $700 on 1 month's food for two and cannot track it from my phone. That sucks.
This app is terrible. It doesn't transfer info from myfitnesspal other than excercise. It doesn't have caloric information for recipes from The Palm. Not very helpful at all.
Took a little while to get use to the app. Don't try to add or log until the palm disappears or the app will stop. Can't get the bar code scanner to work. Can't log in after it scans.
App does not work for android and yes I did all the updates, turn off and on my phone ect
I wish it had scanner ability for more foods, than South Beach only products as well as more caloric info on common foods, but it is very easy to navigate
It's great!
The app will only scan SB products, nothing else! I find this worthless as it will not scan barcodes of other food products. When I complete Phase 1 & 2 I'll be moving onto another app.
I am having a hard time using this app. Not saying its not me.
Average app. doesn't do anything extraordinary. I like the barcode scan feature to enter foods.
Only gave 4 stars, because I would like for the food items to be alphabetical. It would save some time.
I can't get past the personal information screen when I'm trying to log in. I hit submit and it just says "bad credentials". I've had the app for 3 weeks and have never been able to use it. Is there a different app that's similar?
The Good: --Scanning in SB frozen meals is convenient and accurate. --Keeps track of your daily meal plan and adjusts for practice days easily. The Bad: --The serving sizes are off. For instance 2 T of peanut butter should be one serving of HF, but the app counts it as 2 & 1 celery stalk is certainly not a full serving of vegetables. --There is a limited amount of non SB foods in the database. --Adding custom foods is hit or miss. I tried to add Breyers Carb Smart fudge bars as an Extra. It kept changing the designation to Other and it wouldn't accept the brand name of Breyers. If it's going to select the category automatically, it shouldn't allow me to enter one. --There is no break down of nutritional information -Once you enter a log for weight, there is no way to edit that entry if you've made a mistake. All that being said, I like the daily meal plan counts enough to continue to use it, but it needs a lot of work.
Crashing way too often (crash reports have been submitted). That needs to be fixed for a better rating.
Very user friendly. I like having the option to choice items from a specific Phase. The quick add is a nice feature to have too. The only aggravation is that it crashes several times a day.
Barcode scanner is useless and when entering in nutrition information the application constantly crashes.
Keeps crashing. Full offering of delivered foods not uploaded, so scanning the barcode is only partly effective.
The app is very useful, however, it needs improvement. South Beach Diet foods that have long food names push the "save it" button off screen and I'm forced to log on to a PC or a larger screen (i.e., a console on TV) and re-enter the info. I had the same issue when it comes to logging foods that are out of phase: I ran out of phase I protein bars and ate a phase II bar during phase I; the app would not let me log it so I had to log on to PC/console. Also, there is no automatic recognition of foods that are not South Beach diet items, forcing me to manually type each one. Other than the above, so far so good: in 7 days I lost 7 lbs.
Doesn't work properly. Bad credentials and stops working
It stops working frequently and has to be restarted. It shuts down anytime you use a decimal. It does not allow a half or partial serving to be entered.
Crashes more often than not.. Repeatedly asks me to enter email address when I'm already a member
Often doesn't find regular food in search; tough to record prac days
can't open account...screen frozen???? reached out to customer service....no help there. their web site doesn't work most of the time.
this app drops out so often it is worthless
Not sure I'm using it to its potential. Need to scan barcodes on items not SB.
It crashes daily. Pita
I can't open an account
Not enough recipe options
I couldn't even get past the log in screen after I made an account. I would get notifications to 'check out the latest tips and tricks' and I could never get there because it always crashed. Definitely needs A LOT of work, I will stick to pinterest and other working apps to help with recipes and tips.
My spouse and I downloaded app the same day (10 days ago) on an LG3 and LG4. Her app seems to work well. Mine doesn't work as well. E.g., the weight loss section doesn't display historical data in table or graph. Also, the categories of foods for snacks don't match the categories set forth in the manual accompanying the food order, which is confusing--someone should fix that!
Tried logging in, keeps telling me incorrect password or email. I can login online without trouble.
Can't even log in. I put in my info and it Just keeps saying invalid user. This app is useless.
Horrible! Spent hundreds of $ on their food and their app to track is NOT user friendly at all!!! VERY disappointing!
Serving size doesn't match mobile app for LP items resulting in inaccurate calorie computation. Needs to be fixed!
I love the portions and everything accessible. The choices are great Keeping it simple is the way to go Thank you
Can't find foods, list too limited and confusing
Never could get logged in on my Samsung!

App for android does not play well with my Samsung Galaxy S8. It frequently crashes when I want to "back out" of a food selection from the database or when I want to read details about a recipe. Some of the new South Beach foods are not in the database (even when I scan the bar code) so I have to manually enter details myself. Manually entering the nutrition info does not allow me to (1) change units (e.g. grams vs micrograms) nor does it support a decimal point (so I can't do the conversion myself). I like the quick add feature. The food database needs some work for completeness and consistency...e.g. if I search for "olive oil" or "oil" i can't find olive oil but if i search for "olive" i can find an entry that is supposed to reepresent olive oil.
