IV Tap for Android
I like it
Pros: 1. It's fast and easy to use (once you get the hang of it). 2. It allows you to titrate vasoactive drips (or sedation) without an IV pump 3. It stores all of the dilutions and dosages 4. It does NOT require internet access and there are NO ADS!! Cons: 1. It is not cosmetically pleasing 2. It does not have a great way to look up medications names (it is just a list, with generic and brand names together) 3. It doesn't include enough medications (there are no non-US names or medications in the database) Summary: A perfect app to have if: 1. you need to quickly start a vasopressor in a crashing patient 2. you want to estimate the rate of IV fluids (gravity or pressure-bag) 3. you need to perform light sedation (for a procedure) 4. you work with IV pumps that might fail (everything fails eventually) 5. You sometimes have more drips running than IV channels available 6. You like to hope for the best and plan for the worst.
Very easy to use. Saved me when I had a pump failure during a long transport flight.
Helped me to figure the deep rate with ease
As a flight nurse, I need to set up IV drips fast, and this let's me do exactly that. I use it to measure the rate of IV fluid. I also have all the drug information just in case my pumps fail at crucial times. This is a "must have" app for medical providers who deal with IV drips.
Nicely done
As a flight nurse, I need to set up IV drips fast, and this let's me do exactly that. No more alarming pumps. I love how it shows the math that it uses to calculate the infusion. It records mL and mg infused. It has mcg/kg/min and other appropriate dosages. It has common dosages and dilutions programmed in and it alerts you when the infusion is outside of range. It helps you correlate the app to the drip with a metronome or buzzing. This is a "must have" app for medical providers.
Love this app. It does all my dosage calculations by tapping in sync with the patients IV
