About GfK Digital Trends App UK

The GfK Digital Trends App is solely intended for participants of the GfK market research projects who accept the GfK privacy policy.

Please note that the app requires an internal VPN. The VPN does not re-route your online traffic through external servers and is not a security risk! It runs only on your device and routes traffic through our Digital Trends App, so we can record your web usage.

In order to participate in GfK’s Digital Trends Programme and activate the app, you must have registered to our research study. If you haven’t done so - signing up is easy. Visit our website and follow the steps instructed - https://uk-digitaltrends.gfk.com/index.php?id=2

Please download the app to your smartphone and tablet separately, if you have both devices.

The application records your activities on your smartphone and tablet for research purposes. It will observe and record the internet pages you visit. It will also tell us about the apps you use, and the length of time you are doing certain things. We will NOT collect any personal information such as passwords, usernames, secure information or conversations. The application will not collect any data unless activated through the participant by entering a code provided separately.

Since September 2016 not received any vouchers. Customer Service is dreadful and make lies and just shift blame onto me. Also I notice that I could not post a review of this app when giving 1 star which is another tatic they are using. I give this app 1 star due to dreadful service!!!

Have now been told im inactive..after emailing them for not getting my due rewards...apparently only users from great britain can take part...even though northern ireland is part of great britain...disgusted with the feeble excuse they have given!! Wish i had never installed to begin with if thats the way you get treated....avoid installing!!!

Not happy!! I emailed the company because of the VPN issue and apparently that's what we have to do now, which make any other tracker apps (I have two others) lose the ability to track your habits. So basically they want complete 100% exclusivity for £5 a month!? Not happening! Goodbye GFK, it was nice knowing you!

VPN function irritating as now I have the GFK symbol AND the VPN Key on my notification bar. This means unable to see further notifications without opening them fully. If GFK could condense into one symbol that would be helpful.

Newest version has asked me to activate a VPN - I can't see why this change has been required, as like others have said, it only mentions VPN use for iOS devices. I am increasingly getting worried with the direction GFK are taking having recently asked me to sign up to a retail project by giving them access to my email account - may shortly be removing this app as it's starting to raise security concerns - not sure it's worth the rewards anymore!

Has been good to be a part of over the last few years but as others say the latest update requires a VPN which disables my battery saver and leads to security issues I am very worried about with no reason as to why this is suddenly necessary. I have emailed and may change my rating if happy or uninstall if the reply is not of a good enough reason.

Recent update created an annoying notification to connect to the vpn so removed from my device. Not received any vouchers in months. Disappointing as had a great rewards catalogue.

The latest update is forcing me to use a vpn which I refuse to do, if this is not changed I will no longer be using the app & I would advise everyone else to stay well clear of this!

New vpn keeps telling me it's not activated, and the same as in other posts still no payments form them for a while. Probably best to keep away if your a newcomer!!!

Easy to install. Been using for awhile, seems to be going ok. Rewards seem a bit slow arriving, so not sure if they're as often as they claim, but might just be me! Hasn't created any problems for my mobile. Occasionally get invites for surveys with rewards, would like more though!!

They do pay out and you get additional surveys once in a while making you even more Money. The only thing is, they take a while to send you your voucher codes. Have been using them since December and had never a problem.

I've installed GFK on all my devices, (phone, tablet, laptop and PC) been using it for over 6 months and never had an issue, rewards have come roughly on time and never seen an issue with battery drain or errors with the app.

Iv got an invitation email from GFK to join the panel.i installed the app its been over 2months and I didnt receive any vouchers as so called GFK promises on the time of registration so I had installed GFK APP for 2months and I'm owed £20 Amazon vouchers!!!...Iv sent about 10 emails to GfK with proof of screenshots of the app.and still no replys.if there was any way to sue GFK trust me I would......peeps don't install this app u won't get nothing in return.!!!

Support is friendly and helpful unlike other apps (such as MobileXpression who are ignorant towards service users and have no respect for our loyalty and should not be allowed to operate! Lol

It takes an extraordinary amount of time to get a reply from GFK but things do get sorted you just have to be patient with them. Wide variety of different payments that you can choose from. App would be better if it had some sort of timer on so that everybody can see how long they have been active for. Give it a shot :)

Unable to enter pass code as app had loading circle in middle of screen which won't go away, and cursor active in data entry box, though unable to enter anything.

You won't get rich but it helps, if you enjoy surveys etc this is for you. It will eat your battery if you don't disable the location function on your device, this app has it running 24/7 but it isn't needed

Installed this app and must admit I was a bit sceptical at first whether I'd get the reward I was due. I shouldn't have worried and I got 3 £10 codes to redeem which are now applied to my Amazon account. It took just over a month to get the money for each of the devices it's installed on but it's free money and is very welcome.

Had problems when I installed so contacted gkf got acknowledgement but no answer after wasting time trying numerous enquiries, I eventually contacted CEO that got a rapid result. Get CEO's email from the net and let them deal with their ignorant staff

They answered me straight away to tell me the £5 bonus was down to fpl to pay but after 3 emails about what these owe me, I'm met with a sudden silence.........

Used to be a good app, I have it on my phone, and tablet but then they introduced a pin, what is this for and why? Says email to get a pin. I emailed and got a reply asking what device I use. Why does that matter to my device. Do I need a different pin to every device I use. what if I change my device, will I have to get another pin?. Its a big battery drainer anyway so with that and hassle of trying to get pin I will delete the app.

Apart from the screen itself, this app is the biggest consumer of battery on my phone. Also, it doesn't track usage properly - I've used my phone to access the net every day for the last 25 days, but according to their "support", I've only used it for 13 days. It's not worth having to charge my phone twice every day...

It should have a timer on the app that lets you know how long its been installed for per device. Proper battery drainer. Lets see if get voucher.
