Works as it should. Ive got two hubs in a 5,000 sq foot house and I've received calls from home to work (I work about two miles away). 4 members of the house and 2 friends are connected. I've had no problems with connectivity. I'm running it on a galaxy s8 plus. Everyone else has either Samsung or iPhone products. I've run it on Samsung tablets as well. Hope thus helps.

I have 3 Nucleus at home and 3 with family. I have been able to contact another Nucleus but cannot get the mobile app to work on my Lenovo Phab 2 . I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing but blank screen. When I try to use Nucleus app the Nucleus itself freezes.

Update for May 2017: They just released the first update after several months of silence. Still garbage. I can't believe they haven't addressed the background data bug. I was hoping with Amazon announcing the Echo show the nucleus team would step it up a bit... No luck yet. Don't waste your money. Can't leave the app installed because of the battery drain. The recommendation from nucleus was to force close the app when not in use. That was four months ago... The last app update was in December!? An absolute joke given how poorly it works and how expensive the product is. I've owned the nucleus for several months now with no noticable improvements despite the constant reassurance that the company is "planning that for a future release". The product had great potential, but buggy software and undelivered features ruin the experience. Most disappointing tech product of the year.

The nucleus is great! I have 3 throughout the house & they're awesome! 2 of them are connected via ethernet cable. This is great utilizing poet option and you don't have to fus with any ac power supply cords. The 3rd is connected via WiFi. I haven't had any dropped signal as of yet. I lobe the mobile feature allowing you to make and receive calls with live video chat. This is one of my favorite features of the nucleus. My kids and can get ahold of me and its like I'm right there with them. Thanks nucleus!!

Sadly, I had to Uninstall it. It made my phone Freeze up something HORRIBLE! I do have faith that the company is working hard to improve things, being that it's so new. It's a great feature to have when you're away from the kids but just not ready to keep it on my phone yet. I'll keep trying though!

When I first got the Nucleus it was amazing. I bragged about how it worked right from the start with no problems. But it is buggy. Recently they have updated the wi fi and now I am having issues with it going off line. I think I have it resolved by setting a specific channel to the 2.4 ghz in my router. Alexa is always cooperative too.

Reproducibly turns my LTE/data connection off as soon as I launch it. Manually closing the app restores it. Droid Turbo 2. Verizon. Most recent updates. Advanced user. When I use it on wifi, the other person can see color, but phone only sees black and white.

I like it. I had probs with it freezing my old phone, it was glithchy like some of the other reviews but I got the Samsung 7s and it works perfectly. Think you need good clean space on your phone for this app.

Such high hopes for this! I run the app on my phone and all i see is a blank white screen after login. When you try to call from my nucleus to my phone is says disconnected. If this doesn't get resolved soon the unit will be returned. Very disappointed.

It's rare to be able to make a call with both sound and video working. Sometimes devices show offline and sometimes it says I have no Internet when I do. I really love the concept and am patiently waiting for more updates.

Need serious bug fix, call cannot be started, always crash right away. QA team, please buy any ANDROID device and actually use it, unusable now.

When it works it works great, but a huge percentage of the time it shows my nucleus devices as offline when they are not (standing in front of them, they are clearly online with privacy off).

I am glad you guys listened to the feedback and made the changes that allows mobile users to always appear online on the Nucleus device dashboard. Having the mobile app push open the app when a call comes in was long awaited. Bravo! Your product now does exactly what I purchased it for.

Home intercom is good but the mobile app for Android and iPhone are horrible. Pretty much useless. On Android crashes constantly. On iPhone doesn't even have the ability to receive calls app doesn't run in the background. Useless product until the mobile app is fixed. Too expensive for just an intercom that can't be used with a mobile device. Update : new update installed on Android Samsung S7 and now I can't see anyone in my group. I deleted and reinstalled the app same issue.

In my iPhone 5 it does not run in background and that is a mast.kids need to be able to connect with me. On my Samsung s5 i stay connected but my app freezes sometimes so i have to restar phone or reinstall app. When it works fine i love it

Crashes within seconds of opening on a Droid Turbo 2. Base unit is pretty unstable, as well. May have to return it if this isn't resolved quickly.

Wonderful Product. Have used to communicate with children and even have one in my office. Makes communication so much easier. Mobile app still has a way to go but very easy to use. Better than using Skype or FaceTime.

App overall isn't bad for a first cut. Does need work as mentioned by other reviewers. Running in the background is a must, for some reason on my nexus 6p the app only works with my speakerphone and doesn't let me use my headphones. Also I noticed it does hang on startup from time to time and I'll have to kill and relaunch it.

This app needs to run in the background. There's no point in teaching my kids how to call me from the Nucleus device if they can't call spontaneously. This app doesn't work properly with my Nexus 6p. The camera is upside down. So either the caller is seeing me upside down or I'm seeing them upside down if I flip my phone . Issue doesn't replicate on the Note 5. Sometimes the app hangs when opening. Sound and video quality are just average.

Bought the device with loads of hope to keep in touch with family while traveling... The app keeps crashing, reported to development with my phone details and also sent crash logs they said try reinstalling app in few days and not it it almost 2 weeks, reinstalled the app and same behavior the App keeps crashing upon login. Not sure how serious is the team behind this startup because Apps are the primary means of differentiation today and that is where strategy seems to be broken.

Running the app on my Nexus 6p and even though it's only been a couple of days I've had no problems. The video is clear and I haven't seen any issues with voice quality. What I really like is that they have an app for both iOS and Android. Now I don't have to tote an iDevice when I travel to talk to my family back home. I'm very interested to see what they come up with now that they have launched and are getting customer feedback. They've been super responsive and very easy to work with. Great job folks at Nucleus!

Has awesome potential, but needs work. The sound on my phone when calling the nucleus is very loud static. Please fix.

Just received product and immediatly install app. Audio and video are perfect over wifi and mobile network. Quality does drop as reception drops but nothing unexpected. Myself, kids, and even wife are loving the convenience of this product and ease of use. Excited for future updates.
