About NOAA Weather Unofficial (Pro)
This weather app is not affiliated with NOAA or the National Weather Service. Products provided by NOAA are in the public domain, and this app's use of those products is compliant with NOAA/NWS terms of use.
This app provides forecasts, animated radar, hourly forecast, and current conditions, all in an intuitive and easy to use interface. Just the information you need, provided accurately, quickly, and for your exact location.

This app uses NOAA point forecasts from your GPS location to get the most localized weather available. Point forecasts are great for climbing, hiking, skiing, or any outdoor activity where weather from a nearby city isn't accurate enough.
GPS on the phone will provide the most accurate location, but usually isn't needed. Nearby cell towers and Wi-Fi networks can also provide this information, and will be checked first to save time and battery. You can also enter a location manually.
To provided highly localized forecasting, this app uses point forecasts from the National Weather Service (NOAA/NWS), and is therefore only available in the US.
If there is severe weather you will see a red warning icon in the corner of the current conditions icon. You can press this icon for more details. This app currently does NOT support severe weather alerts or notifications. NOAA is providing this service directly through cell carriers. There are also several differently sized widgets available which can be placed on your homescreen to provide some basic weather information, without the need to open the app.
Forecast discussion is available through the menu button.
Permission: Location
This app requires your location to provide you with the most accurate weather. This is fundamental to how the app works. You can still add manual locations as well if you prefer.
Permission: Photos/Media/Files
This permission is required by Google Maps so that it can cache map tiles for faster loading. It sounds like the app is doing something with your photos or media, but it is not. The permission means that the app has permission to access your files (which includes photos and media), but does not mean they are actually being accessed. It is a subtle but important distinction. Contact me if you have further questions about this.

The radar (default legacy) only displays the local radar. If you're looking at Detroit and all hell is on its way from Kalamazoo you'll never see it coming! You only see ONE radar as and NOT all the radar sites that make up the map. Fortunately there is an option derived from Google's weather that appears complete.

Love this app. As a full-time RVer it's invaluable. I can save multiple locations ahead, watch the radar for nearby storms, keep an eye on high wind forecasts - a must for us. I can customize the hourly forecast to show the indicators I'm interested in at any time or location. Along with Weather Bug's lightning app I get everything I need. Totally worth the money to get the ads off the screen.

It's a good app. It gives you the basic and necessary info. I really don't care which stoplights in Witchita aren't working. I have 3 issues. It would be nice to be able to control the info on the widget. 2nd: The wind indicator on the widget shows wind direction, not bearing. Wrong for us pilots. 3nd: the radar is useless. It totally sucks. It desplays light precip where none exists and desplays NO t-storm info where there IS thunderstorms. The image very very poor quality and looks nothing like the desplay image for the app. Radar is useless.

I've used it every day for a long time. I've tried several weather apps and this is definitely best! I especially like the Radar option...it allows me know if an approaching storm is likely to impact us.

I need point forecasts where I live and this has them. Developer is pretty responsive. But, this application, according to Norton, is accessing my bookmarks for some unknown reason and sharing that info with some unknown place. I cannot fathom why it would need my bookmarks. Norton considers it privacy risk. Be aware. I have adjusted my rating down.

Fantastic. Sleek interface. Not filled with bloatware, unlike every other weather app. Like that it has widgets. Request to raise this app to 6 stars: allow more customization of widgets, including: temperature and rain forecast for the day, or hi/lo/rainy or sunny or whatever on a day by day basis (can easily fit this on the larger widgets, bug I think some of this can also fit on even fit on the 1x1).

Weather reports & forecasts straight from the experts. This is the only weather app I bother with...I rely on it every day. I do wish you'd bring back ability to see previous day's hourly chart, so I can see yesterday's highs & lows. Your including a tide report would be nice too, since I live on the coast. Otherwise perfect as it is. A satisfied Pro user

Great interface, easy to read. LOVE that they also include a full description of the daily weather. LOVE the hourly graph. Only con is the radar which is hard to read and needs an overhaul.

What happened to the radar? It seems worthless now! It was great before. Now it seems clutter just spins over the location I am at.
