nRange Golf GPS for Android
I have used the app for a couple of years and couldn't be happier. Brought two expensive range finders and managed to loose both. I have used it from Michigan to Florida to California and it always recognizes the course I am playing. Recently while playing a course in northern Michigan i turned it on and because i had switched phones it did not recognize my subscription. I sent a request in and it was corrected before i finished the hole. That is outstanding customer service!!
nRange is the only golf gps app for me...not only is it user friendly but customer service has been prompt each and every time I've needed them...highly recommend!
this app is Awesome!!! shows yardage from tee to green. satellite or normal. can't go wrong.
I was able to try this app for free and then purchase. The customer svc has been very helpful. Responsive and fast. I like the ability to move the map for targets and distances and the scoring, trending etc data is helpful and fun. Looking forward to next course finder upgrade
This app has been great and the customer service has been great when I have had issues with new phones.
Great app, generally accurate and easy to use. I like the updated GUI and it seems to have resolved a problem I had with the GPS range freezing during a round, but sometimes can be a little slow to stabilize when you get to your ball (That could also be my phone....). One small comment - I find the font on the drop down list for hole score to be a little too small (or my arms are too short) although the improved logic of offering only potential putts, based on score , etc be be a great improvement. On the customer service side, I somehow ended up with 2 user profiles. nRange Customer Service were very helpful and immediately consolidated the accounts and resolved log-in problems. Great responsiveness, great service.
A great app and getting better with every update. Zooms in to anywhere on a hole to a very clear photo with great distance accuracy to any point selected. Has auto hole advance and keeps score and critical stats if you desire. Developer responds to suggestions and comments in a timely manner. I've tried many golf apps and this is the best so far. I would like to see compatibility for an Android smart watch.
amazing what nrange does. and it gets better, not more complicated, with every update.
Latest update is terrible
Great battery life use, that was my main concern. Started my round with 50% battery, ended the round with 30% battery. I didn't use the score card or stats option. But the app is very easy to use and navigate. I like that I can move the point to determine yardage to a particular spot. I don't play many other courses so this is perfect for me.
I emailed nRange two years ago (2013) asking when they were going to release an Android update since it has not updated this app since 2011. They have released several iPhone updates (another one today). NRANGE has still NOT updated this app for Android phones. Do you only care about iPhone users? Now almost another 2 years have gone by and still no Android update. I have switched to another app that does update their Android app. nRange doesn't care about us...
I have used this app since it first came out on several phones and it was the best. I recently changed phones and now can't get past the subscribe screen. Nrange used to have the best customer service. Emailed daily for three weeks, no response. Don't know what happened to them, but apparently they don't care that customers are leaving. I switched to golf logic, has all the features nrange had and more. Well worth the annual membership. Come on over!
I have been using this app for a few years now and with the latest updates it has gotten worse. It was a good app that would let you track many things including yards hit. Some things have stopped working now , it won't email my round info any more and I can't remove or edit courses which is something that I relied on. Would be great if they would fix these issues.
This used to be good but is no longer being supported. I have sent numerous emails and now the email address does not even exist. I purchased the life long option and now I cannot use it.
Download the golf courses I want to play it keeps acting up on me
I use the app on my Galaxy 4 with no problems. I transferred it to my Galaxy 7 and have tried to upgrade it. I am willing to pay the 19.99 for the upgrade but the app has never allowed me to do it. I contacted Nrange but received no response. Guess I'll have to try another.
I have been using the free version for awhile now and it's superb. Only recently started using the score card and found it a fantastic feature. What an amazing freebie if you don't play on too many courses

Used to be great, now unable to locate GPS since upgrading, no response to emails from makers - save your money!
Crashes, gives wrong distances, & sometimes works. Now GPS won't load. "Restart Application" ???
I HAVE A SAMSUNG S7 EDGE HOW DO I CHANGE THE YARDS TO METERS. I CANT FIND AN OPTION FOR MY SETTINGS ON THIS PHONE
Finally resolved. Should you experience sinilar problems just press and hold menu button...to display account settings
The best range finder there is, and i can save all my scores from different golf courses.
When it works it is accurate, but for third time this year it could not find whatever satilieete it uses, as it says "looking for gps", but never even finds the course let alone where you are. Google maps and other apps that use gps work just fine. So hope you are playing with someone else with rangefonder or you are SOL.
I use it all the time! It is accurate and easy! I never have trouble with it!
I paid the Lifetime membership and am now on my 3rd phone. I've had no problems whatsoever with this app. In fact, I've been showing all my golfing partners for the last 3 years, talking it up & at least 3 have downloaded it. It's accurate, adaptable and has helped improve my scores (8 handicap). Best feature: the satellite images so you can see exact distances to hazards as well as greens. As for battery life, turn everything else off. YOU'RE ON THE GOLF COURSE!!!
Nobody replies. Have tried everything. My settings stuck in Yards...I want meters...but there is no way to do this. Even did factory reset to no avail. If stuck at server allow me then to change there
I have been using Golf GPS apps including nRange for several years now. Some golfers just want distances to the green ect. Others also want to keep score and perhaps the ability to measure shots. So far - so good - nRange does that fine (at some expense IMHO). But, what if you want to record the club you used on a measured shot and whether it went long, short, right, etc. If so, you probably want some statistics for each club. Even better, you could overlay those stats on a map of the hole your playing. Oh, and how about keeping stats not only on the courses you play, but across all the courses you've played. Well, I recently tested out Golf Shot Tracker Pro (GSTP) thoroughly and decided to dump nRange. I got all the above at a very reasonable one time price. Now, you may not need all those goodies, but as a result of using them, I have a lot more confidence in my game. I no longer need nRange. NOTE: I am not associated with Golf Shot Tracker Pro in any way - just your average golfer using these apps. GSTP may not fit your style but it does mine better than nRange.
I have all tried different apps. Have been using this for years. This app and a droid turbo and it's easy 18 holes without worrying about battery life. As far as being updated. What update is needed? I have yet to find a course not in the database. This app doesn't crash. For all those looking for more data tracking. Log info on the card and do data entry later. Logging data during golf is horrible and slows play way down. Just add handicap so I can post scores and not use Diablo for that.
Good for distances but is a battery killer and i really don't like the chsrges to upgrade it to a new phone
Limited free course numbers are few, I need more than twenty
Used it side by side on many courses with my 300 dollar golfGPS. Found this to be within 5 yards on the courses I tested.
I come from SA where we use the metric system and no settings available to convert or any other info i would like to toggle.
Works good, but the app has a lot of bugs, never worked like it should, always have to login with my email address and my name before I can play, can't recognized my device or my account unless I put my email account address first, very, very annoying!
Galaxy note 2 was hard to read in direct sun as the green grass in display is simply too dark. I also needed an steady internet connection to use. This is a major battery drain. Finding course near me (via gps) took way too long.
Cool way to get good yardage and keep track of your round. Love it.
Great app! Works for me all of the time.
I would have given it five stars but it does eat up your battery still a great app though
Really good.. Great job
