Nowait - Restaurant Wait Times

You don't need location permissions to search for a restaurant in your database, so don't require them. Access to non-essential permissions should be based on how much I trust your app and how useful I find it. UPDATE based on a reply from Nowait: It does make sense that the restaurant wants you to be within a certain radius to join the waitlist, so I'll give back a star (and thanks for the follow-up!). However, the UI doesn't reflect this; it just says that I have to grant the permission in order to *find* restaurants. Since the location requirement is actually for joining a waitlist, it'd be better from a UX perspective if the permissions gate were delayed until that point and given a better explanation; in my opinion, search should be as hassle-free as possible.

I installed the app and forever got stuck on the screen asking me if I wanted to allow or deny the application knowing my location. I tried to update in the application manager to no avail and then tried an uninstall and re-install without success. Finally just deleted the app.

First time user, and it was unhelpful. Started 38 in line, slowly dropped down to 24 then jumped to "your table is ready". Then almost missed table because we're a little way away from the restaurant. Would have been better off without the app.

The app appears to have a mind of its own. I will get in line and then the app only updates my status is long as the phone stays on. If the phone locks and the screen goes dark, reopening the app will not allow me to check my place in line. Using the app today for a restaurant kinda worked as we were seated quickly but it asked me to rank the last restaurant we went to. Many bugs are still present and the estimated time appears to be off quite often.

I shouldn't have to download an app just to see a weight time for a restaurant. You had one job to do for me and you made it ridiculously difficult. No, I don't want your app on my phone bugging me. Hopefully a less greedy company will come along and make it easier for the consumer. I should be able to simply click on the link in the restaurant's text and see my expected wait time.

App runs constantly in the background, which is completely unnecessary. I would uninstall, except that my favourite breakfast place ONLY does wait lists with the app, even when you're in person at the restaurant. Lots of the restaurants on the app don't seem to actually use it. I frequently show up to a restaurant that says "Come on in" to discover a long wait. Also, all distances are in imperial, and no option to change to metric, which is super frustrating.

Very poor to force location services access. Obtrusive. Please give the option to use a zip code as the phone is mine and I will not give permissions that I do not have options, other than Uninstall. Uninstalled.

Used the app for the first time with Gringos Restaurant. I was 20 min. away when I got my place in line. There were 16 people ahead of us. When we got to the restaurant our table was ready. Best app ever! I will definitely be using it in the future.

Terrible, tried using the app three times. First time it wouldn't let us check in due to being too far away. The next two times the app showed no wait both before leaving and when we were walking into the establishment, but we were told there would be a 45 minute wait.

Very annoying that I have to install an app to see my place in line. I don't need an app to know that I'm 11th in place. I plan on uninstalling immediately after

Been using the app for some time, but recently tells me to "come on in" only to find out there is a 30 minute wait when I arrive. Not sure if there is a glitch in the newest update or something the restaurants are not setting up properly... Either way it's very frustrating.

The intrusive restaurant rating demand has returned, and now persists, even after force closing the app. I must now submit a rating every time I use the app to secure a table. I'll be giving every restaurant a one star rating from now on.

This is the second time this year that I was directed to download the app and even when it went to the download page it didn't actually launch the app (which I downloaded over a year ago) and when I went to the app I had to search for the restaurant rather than it identifying where I am and that I am in line. After finding the restaurant in the all there was zero in line info.

Absolutely useless. Put name on list but it did not hold my spot at the restaurant. Still had to wait at least an hour. What's the point?

So simple to use and accurate. I'm just waiting for more restaurants to become aware of this great added service for their customers. It should definitely enhance customer experience.

It said "come on in " which I'm guessing it's no wait. I get to the place and they say it's an up to 30 minute wait ...wtf. USELESS app

Entirely too slow. Would not find my location or load any restaurants. It worked months ago when I first downloaded it.

Worst UX, force you to install app to track your place inline.

The app would be fantastic if it would find my location (I.e. Georgia) instead of putting my phone location some place in the middle of Maryland. I did use it in San Antonio last week and it worked fine, but now I am home, with my location put on high accuracy, it is locating me in Maryland for some reason.

Extremely beneficial! There have been times I would have had to wait 20 minutes for a table, but with getting in line with this app, I either have a short wait, or am taken immediately to my table.

Don't force restaurant reviews before I can continue using the app. App keeps​ crashing.

Good app but need more restaurants that traditionally have long waits. That will rate a five stars.

Garbage. Wouldn't let me register my phone number to actually see my place in line. Worthless.

Fails to make an account, just does nothing when I enter my phone number.

They force you to write a review of the restaurant before holding your place in line again. I hate being held hostage like that!

Great app, easy to use. All restaurants should participate, especially those that "don't accept reservations". This is awesome that I can hold my place in the line before I get there.

It's annoying that they force you to download the app, it's also not very accurate.

Decent app, but it's massively ridiculous to require the installation of a whole app just to find your place in line one time AND REQUIRE phone number and location access for this simple one time need. Uninstalling.

High memory usage when app is not in use. Please Fix.

App keeps crashing on going back in android.

Doesn't work when you book multiple reservations from different restaurants. All the links redirect back to the last reservation.
