TransitPal DC Metro (Free) for Android
Has fare calculation, station and Metro contact info, and bus schedules. PLEASE update for Silver line, running as of last week!
Its like a Lamborghini with no engine. "Pretty-looking" but useless in functionality. Missed 3 trains with this app. Uninstalling and sticking to Metro DC. Typing this now as I wait for a train that's was supposed to be here according to this app. Contact Metro DC and ask what server they're connecting to. I had both apps installed at the same time. I checked them both simultaneously and their app was accurate all around, end of line station or not.
Crashes anywhere i click in the application.
The inability to search for routes and stops is frustrating, and a travel planner would make it indispensable. But having the metro stop order saves me headaches, and the interface is great.
Excellent app for a tourist in DC. The nearest station finder is quite useful.
I don't know what I did before this app besides wasting a lot of time waiting for the metro.
My car was in the shop, and I had to get to work. 2 Seconds on the transit pal app and I found a bus stop that was a few feet from my house. I guess I never noticed it before. Anyway, the app saved me from being late to work.
I use the DC metro to go to and from work, and also on weekends, so I've download and tried several metro apps to help me keep track of trip times, fare prices, when the next arriving trains are, and metro outages. This is by far the best one I've used! It's easy to use, intuitive, and has quick and reliable data. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who rides the metro often or even just from time to time!

The widget is a quick way to find out about Metro delays and it more reliable than MetroAlerts from WMATA. The developer has done a great job with the features offfered in the app.
