WeCast - Podcasts

EDIT: Updated review after listening to this daily for almost a year, and just watching a panel on podcasting on the Charlie Rose show, where one of the panelists answered that the problem still to be solved with podcasts is they're not yet simple to access, not as simple as pushing a button to turn on the radio. Well, this app is fantastic, as simple (once you see how to do what you want) as can be. Spanish-centric, like the Popular podcasts section, but as a U.S. person, am seeing very quick additions, like Frontline Dispatch was added immediately upon its inception.

Of those podcast apps within the "very easy to use" category this is by far the slickest. I am hoping devs make it a little more functional by including... 1) Important: a more helpful/functional notification player that works with headphone controls (see Podcast Republic). 2) Nice: "new/unseen" resettable counters for each subscription (see AntennaPod or CastBox). 3) Nice: "new" notifications configurable per subscription (see CastBox or Player FM).

Love the app - simple yet effective. Only thing I'd like to see is a tab detailing how many episodes I have to listen to and maybe some stats like the Audible app has.

All the podcasts I discover on random websites are available here. App functions well, and includes nifty tools like the sleep timer. Would love the ability to create playlists (if it doesn't already exist).

Pretty awesome, I just think it would be great to add an extension for videocasts

Pessoal, estou com uma falha. ao dar pause e depois retornar fica picotado o áudio, tenho que avançar para o próximo da fila da playlist e depois retornar, ai resolve o problema.

WeCast still needs a few features but is an excellent app otherwise. It's quick, easy and lightweight yet remains powerful and efficient. Well worth the paltry purchase price. I'd like to see the option to disable the lock screen wallpaper it displays while your podcast is playing.

Why can't the widget be 4x1 like every other sound player? This 4x2 (that looks like 4x1) is very frustrating.

Não consigo mais baixar os podcats do café brasil, não carrega e fica com uma ampulheta, e quando coloco outro podcast para baixar, baixa beleza, então o problema não é minha Internet.

Muito bom ! Seria perfeito se tivesse a opção de avançar a uma velocidade x3.5 ao invés de apenas 2x. Além disso, o gerenciamento de episódios seria facilitado se fosse possivel visualizar as estatísticas de episódios vistos, quanto estão disponíveis nos feeds, e da própria playlist.

App muito bom, mas senti falta dos números de episódios que ainda não foram tocados, como tem no app Podcast Addict.

Depois de testar uns 5 apps esse foi o melhor e mais leve. A única coisa que me incomoda é que os episódios que eu já ouvi não vão para baixo dos outros episódios. Aí eu tenho que ficar rolando até chegar nos episódios que ainda não ouvi, isso perde tempo e ocasiona loadings desnecessários. Parabéns aos programadores e fica a sugestão.

Esse app é de mais!! Além de ser tudo muito fácil e prático , me possibilitou conhecer novos podcasts que comecei a seguir. A ferramenta de pesquisa que busca qualquer tema em tooodos os podcasts - inclusive nos gringos - facilita quando se busca por um assunto específico. Simplesmente perfeito!!! Já indiquei pra vários amigos. Gostaria que tivesse uma opção para favoritar episódios, assim caso eu quisesse ouvir um episódio antigo não preciso procurar ou lembrar do nome.

Por favor, faça uma atualização no Design.

Grande aplicativo, minha sugestão ficaria por ter alguma opção para trocar as cores ou temas. Ótimo trabalho !!

WeCast is bringing back radio in your pocket. There's everything you could want. Not to mention that you can listen to it constantly, even offline!

Olá Baião e equipe! Tenho consumido conteúdo no APP como se não ouvesse amanhã! Muito bom, gostaria apenas de solicitar um novo recurso, poder ocultar os episódios já ouvidos!, seria interessante para não precisar ir até o EP 80 passando por mais de 1000 episódios kkkkk .. Amo o APP está cada vez melhor.

Simple, efficient and gorgeous!

I like the simplicity of this app and would recomend if for managment and playback, but the discovery features could be better. I would suggest find by category, network, etc. Currently there is only the most popular and a freeform search option.
