Norwood Sawmills Calculator for Android
Update to make log lenths not only by meter, 1,2,3 etc. Need to use decimal values. Eg 4.2m/4.8m/5.4m
I use this daily...always carried a scribner scale book...accurate....simple....always in my pocket....
Would be great to have weights for Lumber too
Handy af!
Great job! Simple to use and provides the information we need quickly. Cheers!
Force closed never used it. Was very excited to use it.
Gets down to the point and does it fast. While shopping for a mill, this app made me take a close look at Norwood Mills.
Gonna need this app for my sawmill
As a Norwood MX34 mill owner, I love the Norwood product line. This calculator comes in handy, but would be more useful for sawyers in the Pacific NW if it also included the following species: 1. Douglas Fir 2. Western Red Cedar 3. Red Alder 4. Hemlock 5. Big Leaf Maple Please add the above. The ongoing development of this app is greatly appreciated. Regards, Goda
It seems to work ok. Several scenarios were input and log weights checked against the calculations from the Engineers Toolbox website. I did not cross check the bf calculator against my Doyle stick, but the numbers seemed reasonable. I did shutoff wifi on my non cellular tablet and the app was able to do it's calculations without internet access. The app works fine on my phone in airplane mode also, so it should work in remote areas without cellular signal. The app has a cell phone UI, works fine on a phone, and misses taking advantage of the extra real estate that a tablet affords. The display on a tablet is useable though, just not as large as it could be.
Need softwoods such as lodgepole pine or Douglas fir
A must have.... Another great addition to your tool box. R and D is a must for a ever growing company. Keep up the good work, Norwood
I was searching this kind of tool for learn the calculations. This is a great app.if tool is supporting for different languages than English it might have more demand.
