NordVPN - Fast & Secure VPN

While I appreciate the number of different servers I can connect to, I had several issues with the connection being slow and the VPN disconnecting which I tried to tolerate for the sake of a secure connection. Then it asked me to login and wouldn't accept my credentials. Support chat said they couldn't find my email registered in the system anywhere even though the payment I made to subscribe was accepted through the Google play store and linked to the email. Waiting for a reply from them to see if they can find the email or cancel and refund my account.

From time to time VPN drops the connection and/or gets hung or something. Then I have to disconnect and reconnect to get the network going again. There was another update today, so I had to log in again, which is somewhat understandable. When I tested Nord VPN it was faster and cost less than my previous. Hope today's update fixes the issues I'm seeing. If not, I'll try TCP and then have to move​ on if there is still no joy

The App won't allow me to connect to any server no matter what network I try from. I slide the tab to connect or choose a country, and the app won't connect. Reported the issue, but the help desk don't seem to know how to fix it either, but offered me a workaround. Useless App. *Update* Changing TCP settings was one of the suggestions made by the helpdesk, but it makes no difference. The Android app simply doesn't connect to any server on my pixel xl, and the helpdesk doesn't know how to fix it. **UPDATE** The app now works as it should after some recent updates, and is now a great vpn with no issues when connecting. Rating upgraded.

NordVPN two year offering is exceptional value (6 devices). NordVPN represents security first and foremostly, and will always impact speed to some degree (~50%), even on lower loaded servers. FAQ's read, and relevant tweaks applied... the router itself may be the issue, even on fiber. Reliability and trust is important, but 'Start on boot' does not always, 'Start on boot'... "occasionally NordVPN completely drops off, FNAR, at this time" /[Solution: Android settings>connections>more connection settings>VPN>select NordVPN>Enable 'Always-on VPN'/. Compared to other VPN's tested, NordVPN is relatively easy to use at base level and appears not to leak, unlike some other VPN's. Highly recommend NordVPN! As a new customer view, trust of consistent reliability and stability is still in development. Great NordVPN customer support (very polite, articulate, personable, and professional). The VPN service itself is great, definitely worth the 5-star rating; the software on the other hand, not so much (at least this has been my personal experience). The windows app keeps on crashing on Windows 10 (I've ended up using Open VPN client instead, and it works flawlessly). The Android app crashes less often but when it does it forgets it has ever been used (e.g. your user name and password, as well as any and all of your custom settings). So bottom line, service is great, but software could use some TLC.

App constantly disconnects and very often doesn't reconnect. TCP protocol is enabled. Auto Connect (United States) is enabled. Auto Update Config is enabled. I have no "favorite" servers. All my devices are connected to different servers.

Not a bad VPN; however, the mobile app could use some work. The first issue that needs attention is the fact that it continues to disconnect. Next, there are almost no config settings. This greatly reduces its effectiveness. Other than that, I would like to have the kill switch setting.

Disconnects and connection hangs no matter if you use it on PC or tablet. It's not a bit unstable but EXTREMLY unstable. They have 1000 servers they say and 0 server runs without disconnect issues. If they could fix this serious issue then 5stars. But it seems they cant it runs like that for several months now.

I love the service but the app won't connect from my Pixel. Tried TCP as suggested but nothing​ works. It's not my Network because i see the same issue over multiple networks and LTE. Helpdesk has no idea what is gking on anf suggested OpenVPN app.

Got a great deal out of this VPN pricewise, it's super easy to use, it has all the features I need and more (double VPN, tor over VPN and all sorts of ways to be insanely secure) with servers over the globe. Super useful killswitch, no log policy and I didn't lose any speed. Had problems once, support solved it for me in minutes. Honestly it's like I'm being paid to say this, but trust me this one is good.

Sometimes I'll notice that the app is no longer running and the VPN connection has been lost. There is no indication of what happened to it. This is disconcerting as my email and other apps have been syncing in the background over an unsecured connection. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a VPN.

Couldn't be more pleased. Insanely fast and easy to use. Most online reviews battle this against ExpressVPN. eVPN usually won against Nord but it's downfall was it's price. Now Nord is faster, more secure and more affordable than ExpressVPN. Use VIP70 to save $25 on the year subscription.

I hate how often it disconnects and I'm infuriated how long it takes to reconnect. But there was a deal on a two year plan, and NordVPN is respected for it's privacy. I hate how it doesn't reliably auto connect on boot up or restart. What's the point of buying this is you have to baby it into doing what it should already do.

I love Nord's security but the app keeps disconnecting when I change from WiFi to Mobile network and vice versa. I've tried contacting Support but they weren't much help. May have to move on after Subscription is up unless they sort it out.

very good vpn with a great interface and all the features you could want. i just wish it didn't update twice a week or if it must update that often can i at least stay signed in. HALF THE TIME I'M NOT SIGNED IN.

Definitely one of the best vpn apps available!! Reliable and easy to use! Plus a clear break down of each manual protocol configuration and general software info make install/setup and everything just that much easier!

Easy to use, and nice for security. For some reason the app keeps signing me out, so every few days I have to log in again which is annoying. I changed my review from 3 to 4 stars because the developer replied they're aware of the issue and will address it in future updates.

Works perfectly on phone + pc with similar speeds to non-vpn line. My second year. Speed always an issue, but aussie internet connections are shameful...

Streaming from amazon.de doesn't work. I checked lots of your German servers. On PC it works fine. I especially disappointed with the answer of the support guy. Give my money back or fix the problem.

The transition between 4G when on the move and wireless when at home etc. has the rather frustrating point of dropping out completely. This leads to having reconnect manually when you notice (if you notice). If the reconnection could be managed more effectively it would be 5 stars from me!

Probably the best VPN to go for in that it's fast and reasonably reliable at a very competitive price compared to some other popular VPN's. Get the occasional slow connection and have to re-connect but that's probably true of all the VPN services. It's definitely got more reliable lately!

I'd recommend this app to anyone because it's simple to use even if you're new to using VPN security it's safe and fairly simple to use. As well it has advanced features that a lot of the other VPN services do not have

I used the app and received an email from Comcast stating I had committed copyright infringement. The app does not work as advertised. Try it for your self but beware that you may get in trouble.

VPN service is great - the best I've used, but the app isn't that good... I just get the ovpn files and use openvpn, bypassing this app. Saying that, I've never liked any VPN providers apps.

Very good VPN. Not had any problems as some other users seem to have done. Got it on PC, Z2 tablet, and a Z5 and Z1 mobiles. Runs smooth on each one. I recommend.

PROs: Easy to use, no log policy, fast customer service. CONs: unstable speed, crowded servers and servers listed by countries and number instead of city. Hard to find which server is closest to where you want to connect.

Love NordVPN. Got their 2 year discounted promo. Love the choice ot countries plus protocols (e.g. VPN, Onion over VPN, Double VPN, etc.). So simple to use too! Keep it up!

Having installed the app on 4 tablets and a laptop. I haven't come across any issues. Mobile gaming works fine. Connection stays up. Had to restart the network once or twice. Mostly with UK servers. Netherlands works fast and sweet here. Will see how it holds up over the next week or so.

Easy to setup and get running on both phone and tablet. Had a conflict with Wi-Fi Assistant and tech support was responsive and helpful. Easy to switch servers and easy to know it's working with key icon in tray.

Essential software for mobile, laptop, desktop. Multiple devices allowed per account. Privacy and security. Very reasonable two year pricing plans. Highly recommended.

It's OK. Connection stops working after a while and often needs to be manually re-connected, or phone re-started. So works but not as stable as necessary hence only 3 stars.

Ok, well, this is my second time around with a new device, and so far Nord is working well. If this performance keeps up during the trial period I'm definitely subscribing.

Great app. The only niggle I have is that it seems to drain the battery fast, but can appreciate that this is inevitable with any VPN client.

Missing 2 many features! No autoconnect on unsecured wi fi networks, No kill switch, No option to select which apps can bypass VPN, No autoreconnect on unexpected disconnect. Without this I don't feel secure!

I love it but sometimes servers stop without warning. Any samsung galaxy s8 plus owner, you can only use nordvpn upon startup. If you disconnect and try to reconnect, you cannot. Click any button to connect to anything and it won't. Make sure it is set to start at boot. If you ever disconnect you must reset.

it does what it is supposed to do. it would be nice to be able to chose server, but it is on me phone so no biggie... EDIT: You learn something new every day... :)

Some connection issues with the app, but pc service has been stellar. £2.50 a month so can't complain too much. We'll see if the app improves.

I find that every now and then I get signed out of my account, this also happens on Windows too. Also always seems to connect using TCP rather than UDP, even though I haven't enabled it is the settings.

The very reason to install you is because the connection is blocked and you guys want to us to login before switching on the proxy is pathetic. Seriously are you kidding.
