Wear Aware - Phone Finder for Android
Lets you know when you are leaving your phone behind
Your watch will alert you by buzzing when your phone is out of reach.
Time to say good bye to forgetting your phone at home when heading out in the morning!
Helps you locate your phone
Just say "OK Google, Start Phone Finder", and it transforms to a phone locator. Your phone will start trying to make you aware of it's whereabouts by playing an alarm signal. No more running around at home trying to find your phone in silence, or calling it from another phone to find it.
Totally free
All features in Wear aware are available for free.
Donations are totally voluntary and added for those that wants to help us make the app even better.
Out of Range warnings have stopped working since GoogleWear update. Only gives a warning when the Mobil comes back into range again.... Please fix this because I'd like to give this app 5 stars
The app let's me know when I forget to take my phone with me when I leave my office, the house, etc. I hope the update fixes the small glitch that has the app telling me my phone is missing when it's just in my purse. It doesn't happen too often but is a bit annoying just the same.
It has never ever alerted me when i leave my phone. Only when I get close to my phone again will it start the alert. Kinda useless if you really lose your phone.
The app keeps crashing on Huawei watch when disconnected.. Only after confirmation on watch the disconnect alarm logo comes up.. I like the idea of raising the alarm on disconnect .. But it has to work..will give 5* if fixed
No idea what I'm doing wrong. I have a galaxy gear 2 and a Galaxy Note 4. I installed WearAware from the play store, enabled notifications in the Gear Manager, set it on HIGH ALERT, but absolutely nothing happens when the bluetooth connection is lost.
This app doesn't work well. I could leave my phone in my car and not realize I left it. 5-10 mins could pass until I realize i left my phone. By the time I go back to my car and have my phone in my hand this wear app will finally let me know I'm away from my phone. This app needs fixing... uninstalling
Can be very slow to alert, sometimes two minutes before it vibrates, but generally good. However every time my LG Urbane alerts me, wear crashes and have to restart the watch.
The alarm won't go off when I leave my phone behind. On the other hand, it repeatedly bothers me when *I* disconnect the watch from the phone
Watch and app works as advertised. I feel a little better knowing I am reminded when I walk away from my phone. -- After the last update the phone reminder works in reverse. It lets me know when I am back in the vicinity.
As others have mentioned on here. It takes too long to notify when one walks away from ones phone. Uninstalled.
It works but not well I left my phone in my friends car, it didn't warn me. Until I. Was very far away update... After their update I am only alerted when I leave my phone and come back to it. I'm not sure if it is a time thing, but I have left my phone for more than two minutes.
Have to uninstall. Constantly alerts me that my phone is disconnected even though it's right next to the watch. Galaxy S4, Galaxy S6 edge and now S7 edge. Same thing.
It is to slow to alert you when you have left your phone behind and is buggy I can have my phone near me and all of a sudden it goes off faster reaction time would be nice make this better I'll give 5 stars if made better
Could be my devices but the time the phone is out of range to the time warning is given is way too long, often gives multiple sucessive warnings when OOR, annoying to dismiss and unneccessary battery drain. Find my phone feature gives visual screen warning but no sound or vibration so is no use (settings checked) stock phone finder works fine. Happy to provide any info to help fix this as this could be a really good app. Wish* happy for paid feature, locate on maps using last known GPS co-ord.
Phone finder is silent lol. Kinda useless and most watches have this ability already. Concentrate your efforts on the other half
When I turn off bluetooth, it buzzes, which is fine. But even if I dismiss the message, it always buzzes for the second time. ALWAYS. Apart from that works fine
One thing before 5 stars, when "Find phone" the ringing should require you to unlock the phone for dismissing, for anti-theft purpose.
My first 2 smartwatches were Sony (1st and 2nd gen.), both have great alert system, 25 to 30 feet away and the watch started to vibrate! With Wear Aware, I'm far away when I'm notified, usually I realize before the app! Thanks for nothing.
This app manage to be both far to sensetive and in the same time beeing not sensetive enogh. in avarage it gives about 5 false alarms each day and when I leve the phone and walk away it usialy takes atleast 2minutes before it trigger.
Installed on Huawei watch. If you leave your phone behind, it does not alert you. Only good as a phone finder if it is nearby. Almost useless.
For me to consider reinstalling I need to be able to disable this app at home based on gps position or wifi. I don't want my watch buzzing every time I put my phone down at home. Also I'd like to be able to dismiss the alert from my watch if I'm happy being untethered from my phone.
My watch would go off every two seconds that I don't have my phone on me! Great idea, bad execution.
Tried it for a very long time.. Does not alert reliably when I walk away from my phone, whenever it does it is very late like others have mentioned here.. Also would go off any time even when I have my phone in my pocket /hand.. Drains watch battery a lot.. Done with it! Uninstalled!!!
I hope it gets better. It's got potential
works as expected - would be nice to have option to not get 2nd alarm when we dont care triple and repeated alarm became too annoying..switched back to FindMyPhone
Takes an average of 4 minutes to tell me I've left my phone behind. Utterly useless
Awesome idea, but I get alerted about 12x/day that my phone is out of range when in fact it is right beside me. Not sure there was a way to tweak that but the hassle isnt' worth it...
Does not respond quick enough, takes a few minutes after being disconnected before notifying.
It works, but much of the time it just crashes instead of, or right after, warning. (And when it crashes, the watch gets stuck on the white "Wear Aware has crashed [ok]" screen, which is very bad for the battery.)
The alarm runs only if you tab the watch. Also it only vibrates 3 times. Is it possible to keep vibrating until I manually stop it just like the alarm notification?
It takes quite a long time to receive reminder that connection to phone is lost.
The alarm often seems to go off when I'm just coming back to my phone, rather than when I've walked away from it.
I love this app, and the idea that it alerts me if my phone is not near me. But I can be 30-40 yards away before it does this, that can be the difference between having my phone still where I left it, or it being gone.
Used to work but since the latest wear update it gives too many false positives
If the Bluetooth link drops this will go off all the time
Tried to install from S3 to gear 2 neo. No instructions either
Everytime it tells me I'm not close to my phone. It crashes on my Huawei Watch. Please fix!!
Installed with Galaxy S5 duo to pair with SAMSUNG Gear, it didn't work
Don't have to pay $1.99 to change the ring tone ha thank you!

I found that this app would go off when my phone was on charge in a different room. It would also take so long to activate that if my phone had been taken off me that it would be long gone. That, however, wasn't my main problem with this app. My problem was that once you dismissed the notification it would repeatedly go off. I feel that this app has some real potential but was spoiled by the fact that I found it would just get on my nerves.
