I have lost 200 lbs since 2012 using NOOM. I am in a long life battle with weight balance. This is the only program that has ever 'stuck'. It's manageability and freedom gives me the power to understand better how to make consistently make good choices, or to immediately get back on track of a day is not perfect. It's about flexibility and not self-abuse! Living and loving my NOOM life!

Z70%
by Z####:

The pedometer does not work properly. As soon as the screen turns off, the step counting stops. It's only on when the screen is on. Keeping in the pocket doesn't count steps. I have to keep it in my hand to keep counting. Should ask for calibration before starting so that accuracy is developed. I shake my hand it counts steps and when I actually walk it doesn't. Noom coach itself is so good but this pedometer is dsappointing.

by F####:

This used to be a very accurate tool regarding steps taken, however, over recent days I have become aware of its inability to keep an accurate track of steps taken. Unfortunately, the level of accuracy varies from recording every other step to every third step leaving me with no idea as to the level of activity achieved. I will now have to go out and buy a pedometer, pity, I will miss the ease and convenience that this app used to provide

Z70%
by Z####:

I love it. I give it an A plus. It keeps track of all my steps that I take. It saddens me to think that I didn't record any of my previous step count to see if there were any progress. Oh well! That was my fault. However, from here on out, I will keep track of it all I am in need of losing weight and this will help me to do just that.

Z70%
by Z####:

Worthless. I should have read ALL the reviews before installing instead of just the ones that come up by default. Apparently I am not the only one who has trouble getting this app to count steps properly. My educated guess is that it is trying to use the GPS and when indoors or using a treadmill that's not going to work.

K70%
by K####:

Pretty good and pleasingly simple - it tells you how many steps you've walked and nothing more, which is exactly what I wanted - but it's not always accurate: sometimes I'll walk half an hour and the app registers nothing. BUT - I don't know if the problem is with the app or my phone, or even because the phone's in my bag.

Z70%
by Z####:

Keep tracks of my steps. Also save battery life and that always a plus for me. Wish it had a pause feature so I can stop it when I'm not actually moving (legs).... everything else is great. No complaints

Z70%
by Z####:

Like the app but was unable to carry my steps to my new phone after walking almost 7million which is disappointing. Would have gave a better star rating had the app carried my steps. My comments on other walkers was carried to my new phone why not the most important thing, the steps ?

Z70%
by Z####:

Many days i have been on my feet all day and when i check on my steps it has a big 0. Other days it counts them. Its very disappointed to have 0 on your many more step days then normal.

W70%

This app only hooks up with the Noom Coach app if they're on the same device. Which makes me sad because I wanted to track steps on my phone and use my tablet as my overall log without having to carry both everywhere. Support team only sends auto emails directing you to the FAQ for the Coach app.

6/17/16- The support teams suggestions don't work. I'm very disappointed in this app & the svc. 9/5/16- I'm using an S8 an back online but all the features are not working. 11/26/17-Ive tried using the app and my profile won't update. This very disappointing

Z70%
by Z####:

Gives a friendly widget to show your steps, and never eats the battery. Who could ask for more? This app has saved me however much money a Fitbit/Pebble costs.

K70%
by K####:

It doesn't recognize when u walk sometimes. It even stalls to shows up the recording at times...not sure what to make of this...it may not be the most accurate with the amount of steps you do each day. I wish it had a calorie count with it...otherwise it's pretty decent to use...

R70%
by R####:

It counts a slight move too as step. Doesn't show distance covered or burned callory like many other similar apps. Useless, not worth downloading.????

Z70%
by Z####:

Not working on my new Samsung Galaxy phone. (Worked fine on my Nexus 5 and a cheaper phone, too) On my new Samsung Galaxy it doesn't count more than maybe 10% of my steps - and sometimes it skips whole days. Really disappointing.

K70%
by K####:

I had given this app a good review before because it does work, but something in a recent update really messed up my phone. It also took out some features that I liked before too add them to paid version. No longer recommend.

U70%
by U####:

The Noom set of products seems to be geared towards buying into their program. It's free, so, why not? Except that there are better apps out there that do not do this. That's one criticism. The next is its inaccurate step counts. I know it's my phone, not a true pedometer, but, at least track something when I move. I've been using this side by side with other apps and would rather have the ones overestimating my steps than this app which grossly underestimates my steps. Uninstall.

Z70%
by Z####:

Brilliant free app. It's pretty accurate but I think you can cheat it a bit by waving your arms and getting double steps. Why you'd want to, I'm not sure! Great way to keep a track of your activity.

Z70%
by Z####:

Not only do I have the step counter adjusted correctly and it's still wrong, but even more frustratingly it's wrong inconsistently. Under counts by about 40% ish. Other step counters I've used easily get within 5% every time. I use an old phone, note 2. Id recommend "pacer".

Z70%
by Z####:

It's works very well. After Accupedo stopped working right "2015", Noon Walk has been my favorite Non-GPS pedometer.

O70%
by O####:

It's supposed to work in the background provided my phone is on me and i'm moving. But i have found out this is not the case as i just finished a 4.43miles run and the app tells me i have taken 0steps today. Totally disappointed.

T70%
by T####:

it does one thing well, with no bells or whistles and very low resource use, and that's the key to it's success. keep it simple, stupid. i wouldn't mind fewer exhortations to use its other products, though. i'm well aware of them, but uninterested.

MUST READ ~~~~~ I used to LOVE???? this app. Recommended it to everyone. However I noticed a tremendous inaccuracy in counting steps. While riding as a passager I noticed my step count continued to increase.???????????? The next day I added the app Paces. Used both apps while walking and noticed a difference of 6,742 before 9:00am. Then I realized I had ran a brief errand prior to working out. So my advise to users of this app is: it's not your metabolism, diet or thyroid. This is a designer app - it makes you feel good even though you didn't put in the work???? It's like designer clothing the label says size 2 but you know you're still a size 12. GOOD LUCK!!!

This is a much improved version from 4 years ago. It had been incorporated into the Noom Coach app but still had some issues counting backwards. I like that it is separate because I am becoming very disappointed with the Noom Coach app. This version has too many glitches. I thought by purchasing the upgrade it would be more stable. Several upgrades later and it still stops working after a day or two. Time to uninstall completely. You are going in the wrong direction with what was once a useful app.

But when I changed my phone, I noticed that I cannot sync my progress. That's a disappointment

U70%

Ok app, but sometimes it doesn't pick up all my steps. It said my 6.5 mile run was about 500 steps. On the positive side, they give you the ability to make corrections manually.

X70%
by X####:

I do like this app but i don't expect much from it. I find it about as accurate as a phone can be seeing as how they're not designed to count your steps. However if you forget to look at your total at the end of the day, i can't seem to find a way to look at the past day totals individually

I was looking for an app that was good for counting steps on the treadmill. Had my phone in my pocket and it did not work. If there's a better way to do this, let me know, but I just walked for 40 minutes and not a single step was counted. I had my phone in my pocket prior and it counted 200 steps around my house but nothing on the treadmill. App does not meet my needs, so unless I should modify how I'm spending my treadmill time, then this will be just another non-working, overly talked up app that gets deleted from my phone.

X70%

App is good & useful but my phone is now flooded with ads. They just keep popping every time any other app is opened or internet turned on. Otherwise app helps in tracking food & exercise habits. One point to be checked: whether the steps to walk is calculated correctly based on current weight & proposed weight plans submitted...I got a feeling otherwise. Rating would have been much more if it were not for the flood of ads. Agreed this is the free version but other free apps didn't have such an impact.

H70%
by H####:

Not sure if the last update ruined it for me, but it no longer counts my steps. This is especially annoying because I have been walking twice as much as I usually would over the last week. It used to be great, counted my steps at every moment. I loved it. Not right now, took my rating from a 4 star to a 2.

6/17/16- The support teams suggestions don't work. I'm very disappointed in this app & the svc. 9/5/16- I'm using a Samsung w/Android 5 and noom finally works & I can with my online friends. Sad to say it's not accurately capturing my steps like the Pacer app. I'm very disappointed w/Noom because I have to manually add my steps. PACER app has so many more options & works better

K70%
by K####:

I'm not a large number Walker, but this app doesn't keep track of all your steps. I've had numerous times that I went shopping for over an hour and it didn't register a single step. I know you can adjust steps manually, but that isn't why I have this installed. Perhaps it would be better to be able to adjust the sensitivity of app

Best and most accurate app for counting steps without all the extra features that do not work at all. I paid for a Steps Mania Pro app and it had the weight and height settings that did not even work at all and had it on most sensitive and did not even count half the steps and counting in my head this one is the most accurate counter. What is wrong with all the bad reviews of this app. I love it that I do not have to go 3 times as many steps because the others are way off.

Will there be any improvement in noom or not? Everytime, we're facing crashes, noom not ready to open up, not ready to show comments or highfives on page. Whenever, we're hoping that,"ok now maybe it works", it further disappoints us by showing 'failed loading comments' or 'failed downloading friends' and that's all. It's been 2 or 3 week we're facing same situation. Hope for its betterment and that too very sooner. Please, don't disappoint us more!

once best pedometer has became now the worst with least features. Not working properly with HTC one m8 eye. Pacer app counts 4500 steps noom counts 2600 steps, at the same time I tried with my old Sony Ericsson phone which has walkmate eco app, that counts 4000k.

Z70%

Disappointed so far. The app records steps when it shouldn't, v even when sitting undisturbed on my desk. I was using Noon Weight Loss coach which has a built in pedometer and getting 3 to 4 thousand steps per day. But after installing this app I am recording over 10 thousand per day. I do not trust it's accuracy.

I picked this one because it was supposed to be easy to use and it is easy. Drop my phone in my pocket and take the dog for a walk. It also inspired me to be more active and work towards that 10,000 steps a day. I love to watch the number increase during the day. But now#%&;* my stride is getting longer so my steps are going down. More work
