NoMachine for Android
Regardless of whether I three-finger-tap or use the keyboard icon from the toolbar, the on-screen keyboard does not show. Only the special keys show - if the option is set. This happens on my Galaxy Tab S running KitKat, regardless of whether I have selected my Samsung keyboard, or Hacker's Keyboard. Therefore, in order to use this app, I need to connect a USB keyboard via an OTG Adapter. It would be nice to see this problem fixed.
I was looking for an Android alternative to Splashtop to control a laptop by a tablet over a LAN but without an Internet connection. (Splashtop needs an Internet connection for Android devices). Found it in No Machine. Works like a charm.
awesome, device forwarding is one of the best features in any remote app that I have ever seen. fast and easy to use, nett than teamviewer, log me in or RDS
WHY I CANT INSTALL THIS APP IN MY SAMSUNG NOTE4? GOOGLE PLAY JUST SAID INCOMPATIBLE DEVICE.
Useless if you set your mouse to left handed. Strugglde with it for months and it's just unusable if the host has left handed mouse like I do.
Easily the best remote desktop software available.
بسیار بسیار عالی
Good!
It's a great app. Would be nice if the arrow keys worked in the virtual keyboard, would make correcting typos easier and some games need the arrow keys. I'm using it on Ubuntu, don't know if the arrow keys work on other OS.
Authenticates with server, but does not create a new session
Wouldn't even open.
After a few weeks testing and troubleshooting it seems like nomachine works well on all my devices except one, running windows 10. don't know why because another laptop with win10 works well. Love the ease of setup, love the sound relaying. Makes your tablet run win10 with a touchscreen. The biggest fault is the android client wont show the software keyboard, so actually using the remote machine is very limited. It would be nice to have configurable touch input options. If I set win10 to use right mouse button as primary click, nomachine always opposite-clicks when I touch.
I connected to my laptop via my Nexus 6 running Android N, both on 802.11n wifi through a wall and still got a very nice experience. The lag was about half a second, but scrolling and such was very smooth! I recommend Hackers Keyboard, since it has the modifier keys on it's own, which I think to be much better, disabling the extra modkey row is something I suggest. By the way, is forwarding devices like joysticks or usb sticks planned? I would like such a thing. I love NoMachine and I keep recommending it.
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!! Forget about the garbage vnc viewer, this is the software you need. I was in two minds about whether to upgrade my laptop or buy a desktop machine. I started to look into remote desktop solutions but none of them were any good. Then I found this wonderful app. I can now drop some serious coin on a beefy desktop and remote control it using nomachine. I can even code in visual studio AND compile it via my tablet! Jaw dropping app, keep up the good work fellas, this is future tech right here. Highly, highly recommended!!
I guess I was just unlucky... The app completely fails to start on my device, it shows the NoMachine logo for a few moments and exits to the home screen with no errors or messages. I would still recommend the desktop application to anyone though, as it's still the best remote desktop solution I've tried as of yet.
Already love the Windows version, now I reach my PCs from my tablet - love that too. All I need to make it perfect is that elusive Anywhere function. ...
I can't paste text in username or password field
Ok so I'm el-Stupido but after trying several times, even with the help of the help page, I am unable to connect with my laptop. Maybe after a siesta and with the help of my trusty burro I will try again. I theeenk my problem lies with ip addresses, especially for the tablet, where do I get the ip address? Juan Bobo. Decided to uninstall and re-install. Still no ip address for tablet (xperia z2). Tried all again. Laptop gives error 107 and tablet gives error 110. So giving up - uninstall!
I use it since years and is always the most ubiquitous and reliable solution!!!
Works really well
I have been using this on a Galaxy Tab 2 as a remote to my Dell Latitude 3460 running Win 7 Pro for a few days. I think it works great. I recommend this over Google Desktop or Microsoft's remote desktop.
Using samsung tab s, tab shift backspace keys inserts 4, 5, 6 respectivly :(( plz fix, the only smooth remote desktop experience on arm server. Ill try a third party software for key mapping for now. EDIT:turns out the whole layout is messed up, row is incremented, qwerty keys are treated as 12345 etc
Sometimes OK but recently stopped access to menu via corner peel and 4 touch slide or any other method for that matter ... I can't resize the window now :( ... ubuntu server, android client on Galaxy Note 10.1.
Часто пропадают сохраненные соединения. Приходится заново вводить данные. А это шляпа. И при подключение появляются каждый раз эти долбаные советы. Никак их не убрать. Заипало. А так зачетное приложение.
Great Stable App
Been waiting for a long time and anyway all the stars. Q: Is 3.2 supported? I can't launch it on Acer501 with android 3.2 rooted. I'd hate to change but i will for the thin client to my centos
Using it on asus fonepad 8 to remote a win8 machine via a wifi connection, impressed with the responsiveness and ease of use, the "show the cursor pointer" are useful for accurate clicking. A bit of a suggestion though, i wish there is an option to disable the keys added on top of the standard keyboard, i am using the "hackers keyboard" and the added keys are already included so it is not necessary. Also the pointer mode seems to use "mouse keys" on the win8, making physical keyboard numpad attached to win8 machine not usable, and the mouse cursor movement is a bit choppy too..., and... options to disable gestures such as pinch zoom are also great, it is not needed on my fonepad 8 on cursor pointer mode. Anyways, great stuff, try it, i'ts free, as all the great stuff are.
Program works really well on Samsung Galaxy Tab between Kali Linux box to windows 8. Only issue is the sound streaming from Kali Linux doesnt work on Windows or Galaxy tab. Apart from that I love NoMachine for its ease of use and generally very well thought out User Interface. 8/10

S per not working on note 10.1. Also very slow to response and input; pretty much unusable and staying out.
Great performance! Unfortunately, some keys are not sent such as ctrl, tab and alt. I tried on Archlinux with MATE and Awesome WM.
Authenticates with server, but does not create a new session
Should allow to rotate screen more freely. (atleast 180 degree rotation). Also unable to enter username. Will only accept one letter as username
"Please ensure file permissions are correct". Unfortunately had to dump this app never establishing the first connection. Desktop version absolutely great though!
Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7500 using Android 4.4.4
Connects to a v3 server but can't open any sessions. Troubleshooting is made impossible by the fact that the client opens a file open dialog instead of file save when trying to save session logs, so you can't actually save them. Can open sessions on a v4 server but ignores cursor & modifier keyboard keys. Works alright on v4 aside from that.
I have this on my Galaxy Tab 7 inch and it's a wonderful app, but it's not available for Padfone X, even though it has a tablet mode... PLEASE fix this! (Allow it to install on Padfone X and it will work in tablet mode)

Works great between android, linux and windows.
