I love this app if your tired but want to read just let the app read for you. This app works great with all of my emails websites ect... Download this I promise you won't regret it.

Love this app. I queue up about a dozen newspaper articles every morning and then I'm set for my commute to work. Protip: use the British voice instead of American, less robotic.

K70%
by K####:

Its a bit problematic when there are symbols in the text... it kinda reads the whole thing...if you can fix it to read just the alphabets and numbers it will be really cool

C70%
by C####:

works perfectly offline, too. I load up to 80 pages at a time and Voice Reader handles the load. To work offline I have to open, then close the pages. Thank you Voice Reader team

K70%
by K####:

So far no problems. Also, this app is one of the best at taking an HTML/Web page and "converting" into formatted word-only document (removes adware/pix).

X70%
by X####:

Would be helpful if the App will have more options when it comes to rewind back from what is reading instead of starting all over again. Everything else is excellent!

K70%
by K####:

Very useful when migraine makes screens painful, or for listening to articles / pubs while doing housework. Love how simple it is. Voice is understandable. Trouble reaching the queue list during narration, so can't adjust queue until narration is closed. Pause actually stops the narration, sends me back to the start. This is very irritating as scrolling is tedious. But ease of use and stability and beautiful DARK theme just what I need. Thanks!!

by K####:

I love this app, coupled with ivona text to speech and it about as close as u can get to having a human to read everything to u. Many times I get distracted when reading especially if it is really technical and lose my place or day dream, but that does not happen when it is being read to me. Use it every day.

It works well except for 2 things. When you highlight the page and select all to share it all the information doesn't go and then I have to go back in and manually scroll and highlight what it didn't take. Also, when you pause the reader it won't let you skip down or restart that section without scrolling to find where you were. Soon as you hit pause it automatically goes to the top of the page every time. If it weren't for these two frustrating things it would be a 5* ap!

X70%
by X####:

It's not reading the whole webpage... Just 5% ish depending on the page. It chooses the text it thinks is relevant and ignores the rest. Wasn't like this before. Did you update it?

K70%
by K####:

After I updated my phone to android 6.0.1 it stopped working right. When I would select a point for it to start reading it would immediately stop. Once I selected a point after that it started reading at the correct point. It's just tedious to do that every time. It also stopped keeping track of where the reader was once I pressed pause. This is the best voice reading app out there but these things need to get fixed.

I installed language but it just keeps saying no language available. If someone can give me solution then I'll rate it higher.

I found what I was looking for. I liked it so much that I bought the pro version.

Sweet App. I have been looking for a suitable replacement for the article reading app, Umano, after the makers of Dropbox acquired it and immediately trashed it, for a reason I cannot understand. Anyway, this is the best alternative I've found to date. Pro version is worth it.

K70%

Voice speed or pitch cannot controlled. ..it is kind of fast.can you guys fix it?

K70%
by K####:

Very good app does what it says and unfortunately a little bit more. If it would only stop reading the URL . I don't like listening to 5 minutes of left curly bracket, forward slash, semi colon, right curly bracket and copious amounts of extraneous text. If you could get it to read the main content only or make it an option 5 stars no problem . Having said that it is still an excellent tool. Galaxy s4 it went from this review to force close instantly every time. Don't buy it until you try it.

Great for people with vision problems, works extremely well!

As a 'listener learner' I've been using the free version for a long time. It totally deserves to be paid for and used more extensively across other text formats.

I personally wouldn't socialize at all or properly without the aid of this app! It's simply doing what exactly as the name explains. its serves it's purpose well. But this is not the why, that I could not live without this app, it's because I am A Pro when it comes to ignoring & skipping long text messages such as this explanation now. This app allows me to endure ranting and raving or the female's superhuman ability to over explain a day in such great links only READ IT could help to endure. Also

K70%

Always busy and this frees up a lot of time with my job because of this simple application that will read for me.

This is such a Wonderful! User Friendly App! It works right along with you! And is very very helpful! Galaxy Note 4, : ) Tree '

B70%

It suddenly stopped working entirely saying no languages available. I have no idea why this would stop working all of the sudden. Any suggestions?

K70%
by K####:

Share several articles to the Voice Reading's queue, set to auto play, and turn any article/document/review into a personal podcast. eg; shopping for some new tech? -- rapid share some reviews to the queue and do product research in the background while focusing elsewhere. Pair it with the Moto Hint (and presumably any quality Bluetooth or 3.5mm earpiece / headphone set), and the Voice Reading app really comes into its own.

No way to control reading speed

K70%

Its ok. Does what i need it to do...would be better if there was a direct " send to " option. It still a pain to copy and paste.

Please make a setting to remove extra languages from the list. Auto detect language could be nice too for people who use multiple languages

Contact the DEV with problems........... I've used other Talk Aloud APPS, so I know the settings are in my phone... I can speed it up, or slow it down, change the language etc... It's curious that Users are not aware of this. I see with the paid version, the DEV has included these settings for you. How spectacular is that??!! Enjoy!

K70%

Will not read any texts that I load into the application it keeps saying no languages are available

K70%

It's handy but needs work. The app does not allow me to pause and play at a later time. Sadly, the app restarts from the beginning if I pause and play. Help forums are not helpful and appear to not be reviewed or moderated by the developer. I have a paid version but seriously considering abandoning it for something else that provides simple, but expected functions.

K70%
by K####:

The free version did the job. Paid for pro because a good price for a good App - Nuff said...

K70%
by K####:

The app is great for driving combined with the speech to text option of the phone. However, you might have to listen to a message more than once due to the app speaking faster than average.

B70%
by B####:

A tablet version could be easily made by removing SMS requirements, and make the app truly usefully. Its called “coding via deletion“. An “ifdef“ if you like. Too many of my devices are unsupported, and for all the wrong reasons. Also a file navigator is needed.

F70%

I have such trouble reading extended news articles and websites due to visual disabilities. This has finally allowed me to enjoy reading again. Thank you SOOOOOOO much! :-D Updated (3-14-14): Still consider this app crucial to my selection of apps.

I have been using the free version for a while and because of how well it works I bought it, would be a 5 star if they can reduce the battery drain and auto detect / remove any web page scripts

Used in conjunction with Samsung Text-to-Speech Voice for a very satisfactory reading experience. The continous play feature is somewhat sluggish.

It's a great app and if you use it with Ivona you can get an Aussie voice.

I had high hopes for this app. I started to listen to a document about a hundred pages long. I stopped then came back to it later and the app started the document from the beginning again. I couldn't get the app to start from where I had left it. I've tried this several times using .txt and .doc files.
