Voice Reading (Read aloud)

Reading articles is at the top of my priorities as I like to listen to articles as I do other things.. First issue is when ever I use the share function most apps add a line of text before the link. The app is supposed to have a feature to grab the link automatically or with a button. So of u decide to remove text before the link, and by mistake u left a space before http then it will consider it a text and read the link for u. I would like to see follow text highlight feature.

IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ. ________ Hi, this is a thoroughly amazing app if you know what to do with it i.e. it's "potential". I'm not sure if the creators are full aware of how powerful (and almost perfect) this application really is. If they did then, they might want to bump up the price tag, and define the differences​ between the pro and standard version. The only thing I want from this app is to include a way to download audio. P.s. knowing the potential of the app spoils me to picture perfect word-pronunciation, and accents. I commend the creators for their efforts and skill, and I appreciate the simplicity of the software. This app deserves 6/5 Stars in my opinion.

Pretty limited as it only reads texting. It should at least also read emails and anything that you could copy paste. And it would be really helpful if this app could read while you're composing text and or emails out loud to you before they're sent. Reading them after the fact is a little too late for how you might want to say something to somebody! Too simple

When I first got the app at work just fine gave me what I needed but then start acting out of the ordinary. Does not allow me to go to the next sentence in the paragraph or back but it used to I've since got a different phone and redownload the app but it doesn't make a difference but I still love the app and I like the way it shows the speaker. I've tried other apps and I don't find any that really compare to this app

Thank you so very much, for creating this app. I suffer from chronic migraines, I'm barely able to see what I can read so this app is perfect for me. I also have trouble reading long articles, even when I'm not having migraines, this app is truly been a godsend. I will consider getting the pro version, since I'm able to get to the store & buy a prepaid Google Play Store card. Thanks: Steve Pig

Searching for others as there is simply no way to reduce speed of reading. In length factual documents this is a negative. Need to understand a lot and listen to jumpy electronic voice. Highly recommend speed variable. Also sometimes it volume stops on a page to Start further down as it likely continued reading and other times it cannot read a page.

It's hard to really feel comfortable letting this app read any text to me. It cannot read contractions in most cases. For example, it reads the word "Don't" as "Don-Tee", "You're" as "You-Ree" and "Won't" as "Won-Tee". However, if I retype the word using a prime symbol instead of an apostrophe, it reads just fine, which is weird bc it should be the other way around. Also the voice makes me lose interest in anything I want it to read aloud, negating my reasoning for downloading it in the first place.

I love this. I couldn't get any other app to do this. I don't want to turn a mode on and off that will read EVERY text or email. This allows me to pick any snippet of text I want and have it read aloud through the simple share feature. I didn't have to pay for it but chose to go Pro just for how much I appreciated it. Thanks!

I love to hear my phone read an article or two aloud for me, while I can work around the home. And I tried a number of apps for the job. Definitely, this one does it in the best possible way. There are some occasional hiccups, yes, but overall it's a solid offering. I especially like the minimalist, no-fuss interface.

I still haven't figured out why about 20% of the time it won't recognize the text on websites when you put in the URL. It gives you nonsense or just one small section of the article instead of the whole thing.

This app works! I simply share the URL or select any amount of text, and share with Voice Reader, and VR reads it out loud to me through my BT headphones. A simple, efficient & very welcome application as I'm a garden designer & work outside with my hands everyday. Quite happy to have finally found Voice Reader!

This app reads my books to me, while I'm at work... It is a life saver lol makes my day fly by! It would be awesome if you could choose between different voices that can read your stories to you... Maybe you can make that happen?

I love the versatility of this app but can you please inable silence mode. I have to jump through hoops to silence the app during sleep or meetings. It doesn't respond to the volume controls on my NOTE 5. Even if I silent everything on my phone, the app reads the notifications. So I have to go deep into settings to turn it off and then again to turn it on. Please fix?! As well, can you please fix the SHARE from WATSAPP?! Not able to share and read messages.

It does get a little confused by some websites eg. Whilst looking at the headlines page of The Independent the app decided to ready the £500,000+ property section instead. On the whole very useful tool though.

I use the app to more easliy get through my class readings which can be quite dull. That being said I would LOVE if the speed of the voice could be changed. I'd love if it didn't take an hour to listen to one document.

Used to love this app but now for some reason the app wont close? After im dont playing what i wanted it to the app stays open in the notification area and there is no way to close it inlesa i restart? This used to not happen what changed? 1 star until fixed.

If youre going to make an app uselessly difficult to use, at least add directions. I can't even get the thing started. I have absolutely no idea how it works and the only info it gives ia how to give the developer money.

This is the only one that has worked consistently for me. When a website doesn't work due to mobile settings, it can still be used by highlighting the text and then sharing to the app. One problem that I seem to have is that the pause actually is a stop. It will not remember where it was in the document.

Only problem is that sometimes it reads only the first chapter and doesn't go to the next chapters. There should be a navigation tab to go to any page and then start voice reading. Plz do it and it will be lot more handy.

I thought this problem had been fixed (says it was fixed in the description) but I don't have time to figure it out. Was very excited. Please fix. Uninstalling until a real fix is made!

When I copy my reading articles to voice read they are small fonts in a pop up window. I cant tell where is it reading it doesnt highlight the sentence. It skips sentences. Im not sure if its that I dont understand it or if its just like that.

Once you figure out how to use it (which isn't that hard) it does exactly what you need it to... ie read stuff that you're too lazy or not in a position to read (eg while driving). People are complaining about the voice quality but it just uses Google's voice engine so its nothing to do with the app. A few enhancements such as the ability to read incoming emails (not just texts) would give this app a well earned 5 stars.

It hangs on over 50 percent of all web page URLS I share to it. Often, it has to have its reading list manually cleared out to start reading anything again. I'm looking for something more robust.

This is by far the most versatile software out here. Being someone who cant sit down and focus long on one thing, its nice to have something that I can actually finish. Thank you for helping me, a 30 year old semi-successful man, finally be able to enjoy a whole book!!!

Great for listening to long patches of text. Being slightly dyslectic, this app helps me "read with my ears " news and other text reach sites, at about a quarter of the time. It is also much less laborious than actually reading with only my eyes. Sometimes I'll read along for even greater absorption of the contents. I think this even helps improve my own (rather slow) reading speed. ThanX for a great app!

The reader works fine for its core functionality. But once it's done reading, you can't kill the app. It stays resident in memory and that's just unacceptable. Stop & Close buttons don't do anything.

Exactly what I needed and now I have it! The only reason I hesitated to give 5 stars , is the inability to adjust how fast she talks. I would like speed control to slow it down sometimes. I love all the languages too! Way cool. 5 stars!

Updated version leaves annoying icon in my task bar. Doesn't save place if you pause reading for a long time.

I have to admit I have a hard time reading and this is the solution. I follow along with the words and I'm getting better and better at reading with the apps help. I appreciate how simple it is to use and how much words you can put into the voice app, you can cut and paste a lot of words to this app. Thanks!!

Great app, I think this app as came a long way. It's great for going through a large almount of material without getting bored or feeling The after effects. However there should be a way to slow down the speech.

It is a good app, can read my pdf files so I'm happy about that. The only thing is the speed of the reading, wish it could've been adjusted.

I tried passing the URL but the apps only reads it out instead of using it to search for content so as result the app does not do what the description. It it would work as described I would give it 5 stars.

This is a great app, It was very easy to use and had no issues with it freezing up. Helped me out a lot for studying.

But could not get this thing to work, even if i typed in text, copied & pasted it, it doesn't do anything. How do you get this thing to freaking work!?!

My life requires a TON of reading and studying. My eyes get tired and then I get weary and reading becomes too much. With this tool, I've not only been able to keep up, I've exceeded the amount that I'm able to take in. Thank you for the gift of this app.

I use this app every time I get in the car to drive, and I have for years now. It works really well, and I enjoy listening to it. It's great for all my website (Fanfiction) listening needs.

Opening this app displays some sort of web browser with a page that does not even fully display because of the size of the screen and is almost un-navigatable. Not worth my time.

I love this app! Very very helpful. I just get it to read my pdf ebooks all the time now. I downloaded Ivona to change the voice. Couple of improvements - stop it from reading the page numbers and title of the book on every page. Also for Bible quotations it reads it like the time of a clock eg. John 3:16-7 it reads it like a military clock. Also navigating through pages isn't easy. You have to painfully click one page at a time and wait for it to load. Other than that it's wonderful and thank you so much!
