About Robomaru (beta)

Robomaru is a heavily glorified RSS reader for a certain cat site that goes Nyaa~ when petted (furiously).

Say no more to cumbersome and complex RSS filters you need to set up for each episode, for each anime series, and literally (and painstakingly), for each season even.

Robomaru does all the heavy work for you by:
• Auto-increment episodes for each entry
• Easy setup interface (you'll be surprised how easy it is to set up an entry now. Promise!)
• Optionally auto-downloads the individual RSS entry weekly instead of wasteful daily scan (That efficency! Do check out the available modes when setting up an entry).
•  Being lightweight. Very, lightweight. The full Java code is only 169 kB uncompressed while the rest is populated by the Material resources.
•  A pleasant Dark Material Design theme for our precious eyes

Upcoming features:
•  Importing/Exporting watchlist (backup and maybe for giggles)
•  Factory Mode for creating entry from media files (with original names) located on the device. Should be very useful during the early season crunch.

This is initially intended as an RSS reader for dedicated low power machine like the Raspberry Pi, mini android box, and the niches, so it might shy away from a full fledged RSS reader. But for what it does, it does really well. Minus that recent 14.5 episode recap, so far parsed entries from major groups have 100% match rate.

While some parts may not be fully Material Design yet (coming soon!), the current design is my humble interpretation of the new design docs. Comments and feedback are very much welcomed.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE :
To save the feed contents (optional). Post-KitKat users please be aware of Google's new mandatory changes for KitKat and forward. Worked great for awhile until it now stops fetching and updating shows. Also searching function doesn't bring up anything and draws a blank. Weirdly enough previewing rss opens to the proper page so I'm not sure if the cloudfire ddos protection is running it out it what.

this app was amazing, but now it's broken, i think is something with nyaa.se and not with this app.

Saved a bunch of time because of it, but even if I hadn't it would've been Ok cause the ui is so gorgeous! Just wondering if we can track things that pop up under the "literature" part of nyaa, thanks for the great work :)

Thank you! This is what I've been looking for. Edit: Oops, it only works like weekly reminder. 5-2⭐

I always forget about the next anime and this app is a time saver.

Great looking app. There's a lack of menu animations but other then that, it looks very good. I'm a little disappointed you can't download torrents from directly within the app since there aren't any apps that do this that I know of. Nevertheless, this app will become super useful when I can write all incoming torrents to my 64gb external sd card.

Also some integration with Taiga would be cool, if only taiga allowed for external control.

M70%

Helps me keep track of what I'm watching because I don't put any effort into memorizing the names of the longer anime titles. Edit: Asked for option for adjusting notification sound and dev added it quickly! Awesome work!

Hey guys I've been using your app for a few minutes now and I have to say, it is very good, fast and well designed... But, I'd like to have a light version... Well just saying. Giving five stars. Also, you can put a direct link to the app page in About. I had to close the app, then open Playstore, changing account and then go to My Apps just to rate it...

One feature I would enjoy to have is being able to see the previous posts that link to a certain site instead of having to rely on notifications to link me there. Otherwise, it works and looks perfect.
