Inshorts - News in 60 words

Great layout but bad optimisations. It's really handy and snappy way to get the latest news. But sometimes the news is late and more often important news subsides among useless info. Ads are were handled, non intrusive. The main gripe is the battery consumption, this app consumes loads of battery in the background. My device reports it around 0.5%hour, which is quite a lot. Also the wakelocks prevent phone going into deep sleep.

The quality of news has degraded, put up news that makes sense. Also add a check uncheck features for variois categories, for ease of users, eg: who don't like bollywood and sports, can uncheck on that tab

Inshorts needs gargantuan updates! If I were to open Times of India app, There is always something new to read regardless of the time gap. In Inshorts, there are no new stories for hours! The editorial and research team of Inshorts needs a major facelift. The method used is good but the matter isn't even satisfactory!

Content gets worse every passing day. At par with the aajtaks and the Zee news band of jokers. No customisation. Important news get lost in the sea of bullshits and meaningless trivia.

Just what you need to be abreast. What I like is it is a short digest & unlike most news that harp on politics & crimes etc, 'Inshorts' focuses on latest happenings & keeps you updated on knowledge front.

A bug in the latest update. When trying to share news through WhatsApp, it always gives an error saying, file type not supported. Not sure if it's a bug in inshorts or in WhatsApp. Please investigate. Moto g5 plus.

Overall app is awesome. The only thing I'm missing is I can't customize my feeds. It's best news app out there and I'm using it that way, not my news app yet.

Guys, need predefined category selection. I don't like it when i have to click on technology everytime. What if i just want to read about technology stuffs. Also multiple categories selection should be made available. And if i don't like seeing certain news then make an option to mute certain keywords like in Twitter. I wouldn't like seeing "torture news" as soon as i open this app.

Many a times news are not important. Focus on more important ones. Some are not at all important

I used to love this app, but now its totally crap. Developers should introduce a 'choose your category' feature which will help the user to only read the news they really want.

Amazing concept dude, in 60 words to understand the whole world wow seems beautiful. User friendly, best visual Ui, and no such FALTU stories makes me scroll infinitely But yar Please put some more effort for making hindi news more effective, rather some news are missing in Hindi version but Available in englishh ummm hope so

Maybe you should make it customized to every user, like they should be able to pick from where they stopped reading .. it's kinda irritating to start from beginning every time the app is closed ... Not sure how but it will be awesome if u can do it ..

I had never imagined, I could save too much time. Really , it is an example of good Application. Such an application exists??

How about Auto swipe up feature? News swiping up automatically after 30secs or more. I request you add this feature in upcoming update.

Awesome......... I am in love with this app. One of the reason is how user friendly it is. Just swipe to go to the next story. The best app to read the news.

Well it's perfect. Just go ahead and install. You also grow with the little fact cards that come along regularly.

The description and feeds are very short and sharp. It's great app for the people who don't have time to sit and read the newspaper. It is very informative. I suggest many of my friends to use it

It's an extremely useful app. Allows you to get a gist of the Headlines. Without significantly eating into your time. I'd recommend it to everyone in a time crunch.

It helps to be in touch with current affairs even when there is no time to go through a newspaper.. Also it provides very informative news in short which is good ...

Honestly when I first installed this app it was wonderful.I found it amazing and really helpful but with time it has started giving useless information and has become annoying.

Hey Inshorts would you please add reactions in the like button. Like, if we long press like button a horizontal row for 4-5 reactions pop up just above it. Please!

Great way to keep up with the news without spending too much time. However I wish there was a way to select a list of topics I am interested in.

Inshorts used to be great, but with updates I am not even able to swipe the news, its bad. Changing from 4 stars to 1

It shares only genuine news. Always believable news. Nice collection of science videos. If categorisation exists for news then it would still be nice.

The only news is bollywood and silly gossip. Uninstalling.

When I try to share the news on whatsapp it shows file format not supported, why don't you make the sharing format supported by whatsapp

Sync with their server is mostly failing these days. Needs to uninstall the app in current non working condition.

App has become slow after the latest update ...takes lot of time while opening from notification...and pictures takes long time to load....

It's an absolutely wonderful app for learning news from all over the world in minimal time. The amount of well researched news pouring in each hour is overwhelming. It's the first time I've been unable to put my phone down while reading news. User friendly and interesting UI, Gear updates. Would love to be able to share the articles via WhatsApp or other such medium. Currently it lacks support for the same.

Different News in Hindi and English... Many NEWS article are not present in Hindi but showing in english after setting up hindi to english? DO English readers need more news then hindi reader? I Had to move Google News app atleast Same news in every section....

Your concept is really good,but did you employed most of your staff after 2nd half of the day?? Bcoz most of your news feeds only comes after that ,by the time we have those information from other sources. right now it's 10.30 am and you have posted only 6-7 feeds. it really not good.

1. When I open articles by swiping right, please provide a way to jump into my regular browser. 2. Please give me an option to select the categories I want under "My feed". I badly want to remove Bollywood as the Bollywood Bullshits take to about 50% of the news.

Always consume RAM even if not used. After Force Stop/Restarting device, this app still does not release RAM. Inshort Team should treat this matter with top priority. Because this is second time, I am raising same concern. Check with Tech Team, this issue should​ be addressed as at earliest. In reply last time you said you will look into the issue, but no change yet has experienced.

Rated 2 ⭐, first time !! Using this App from last three years ! 1.)It's because when I want to share a news on Twitter then it prompt to open Play Store to install the App , instead of opening the shared news !! 2.) Give us an option to open full News on our regular Browser. It's ridiculous and pathetic. Please do something Dear @inshorts team !!

It is undoubtedly the best news app in India right now. However, I think the next step for the inshorts team should be to work on short audible news snippets. Because if we are able to listen to news then we will be able able to multitask and follow news at the same time. So all in all it will become way more convenient for busy people.
