Not as accurate as I would like. Could use a update for extra features. As for accuracy I will tell you want I mean. Say for one day it says a game was played for 3 hours. I'll assume that's correct. But what's not correct is that I or someone else used the console for 3 hours. It might have been on that. But it would be nice if they could update it to reflect that. Example. Say it shows the system was used and played for 1 hr and 45 min. And was on another 1hr and 15 min. Show actual game time playing. Not paused or on the home screen. Hopefully Nintendo adds on to what they have so far. It's a nice start.

It does what it claims. Would be nice if it would update on the console when there is no WiFi, via NFC or any other means. At work I had to increase the playtime allowance however I couldn't connect the console to wifi so I had to keep entering my pin... pita while at work. To anyone saying I shouldn't be playing at work anyways, I say you should of paid better attention on career day.

Please add more detailed statistics! As the sole user of the system I don't NEED the parental control app, but I use it just for the ability to see play times. That said, it'd be awesome to see more detailed stats like from the 3DS either within the app, or on the console itself. Add this to either the app or the console and I'll edit my review! :)

The inability to set play times per child makes this app virtually useless. Even if I could see play time stats per profile it would be more helpful. Restricting play time by time of day would be a nice feature (but less essential than per user restrictions)

This is a really nice entry in nintendo's library of games. If you can get your hands on a physical copy, do so. It runs a lot better on the console. Parental Cobtrols is a solid nintendo platformer for the whole family! 10/10

Many have pointed out more detailed feedback, needs to not countdown when you're on the home menu, say looking at news or things installing as long as no game is active. Also needs a bedtime for nocturnal people, not everyone has the dream life.

It's good but it's a shame it doesn't tell you your play time before downloading the app. Also it would be good if you could have a period that you can't go on it. You could use it so you can do homework in those time parameters. E.g. Suspend software from 18:00 - 19:00 :)

I don't have kids but I use this to stay productive and to go to bed close to on time when I work the next day. I wish I could do it from the switch home menu it self or be able to snooze the alarm from the system instead of only disabling it

I think is quite innovative. I Am using as a way to keep track of gaming time for me as well as kids. Bedtime alarm is fairly useful especially with zelda being so hard to put down. More stats please nintendo.

Very good management tool, however I wish there was a more detailed breakdown of playtime. It gives you the total playtime and which games were played, but not the playtime per game. I don't think it lists which profile was playing either.

I actually use this app for myself as a tracker. I figured the switch wouldnt have a Wii like service where you know how many hours you spent playing a game, so this way I know how many hours I put into a session of Zelda or anything else. They could easily do more with it, but I get it. It's main focus is parental. This will have to do for now.

Great concept, but I need more functionality when it come to MULTIPLE children's playtime. It would be nice to limit my son and my daughter to a set time. If I want to change the time limits individually, that would be awesome. Sometimes my son should get ZERO time, and sometimes he should be able to earn more time on his own profile. Thanks.

Hugely helpful that I can set an alarm for the end of the night and the switch automatically tells me when time is up. I may not have kids but I do have to work in the morning.

Upset that I have to download this... I just want to know how many hours I've played Zelda. I shouldn't need a silly phone app when THE SYSTEM IS A SMART TABLET!!!!

So yeah it's work for just parental control and it gives you a little update on how long you have been playing and which days... But not much point otherwise.

Adult me wants to set this up for child me because I keep staying up until 4am playing Legend of Zelda. I'd like to be able to set a later bedtime though (1~2am). Please don't forget that grown people need reminders too. Thanks Nintendo.

Before parental controls with time limits came about, I always have to be the bad guy to stop my boy from playing too long. Now, with various time limit intervals and auto suspend software function, I don't have to be the bad guy anymore! I'd wish all other apps like Netflix and PS4 have this auto suspend software function!

The app is really nice to use and easy to set up. Worth it just for the play time tracking the other features such as turning the system off and limiting play time are just a nice bonus really. A must have app for any Switch owner whether you have kids or not.

I don't have any children, but the app is good for keeping track of my own daily game playing. It will be nice to see if I set any new self records for Nintendo binging and being able to show it on my phone.

Does not monitor my child's account only. When I play, it is most times outside of my son's play time and I am constantly getting alerted. Unless this app can work separately for multiple users and child accounts, it is useless to me.

Does what it says. High quality. Will update if it bloats it shows serious problems later down the road.

I'm not a parent. But I love to use this app to track how much I am playing since there is no longer and activity log on the Switch (or at least not yet).

Nice and good looking app. Now I can lock myself out of my Switch whenever I need to go to bed, and not play Zelda.

I wish you could set a cut off time, not just amount you can play. Good app though

I don't use this as a parent. I use it for myself to track how much time I spend playing. Very helpful. Now if I can stop playing 14 hours of Zelda each day...

Good app overall. The only things missing are: 1) a way to retroactively pull in play time for games prior to using Parental Controls and 2) tracking play time even if the controls are off. Currently there isn't a way to track game time outside of using this app, aside from "rough" estimate the Profile screen gives you. For such a large game like Zelda, I want to know exactly how many hours I put into it.

1) Give option to assign different permissions per user in the console. 2) Give more detailed game statistics. Which user played which game? Like the 3DS play log, it should show how much time the user spent on that software. 3) Being on the home menu, browsing the e-shop, or whatnot else aside from having the software active should not count towards playtime. It works well for what it does. It just needs to give you more information.

It's okay. I'd like a break down for each game and also like to know whether it counts paused time etc.

I love seeing how much time I've played a game id give a 5star if there was a way to see total time played. This is the only use i get out of it as i have no kids

I use it to restrict myself from playing too much and it works fine. Hoping for more options, like different restrictions for different accounts.

This app is actually very nice to have. You can quickly check out your play times and usage while on your phone, share it with friends online easily, and keep restrictions on your system in check if you need them.

I love it but I would like for it to have a kill switch option or seperate app for the possibility of the console being stolen and locking the thief out.

Te app serves its purpose perfectly, but I think the usage statistics should be added to the console as well.

Essential if you get a Switch, and if you didn't then what's wrong with you?! It's the most exciting console since Nintendo64. The app is functional and helpful.

Great little app that does what it's meant to do. Could be a little more colourful but that's as minor of a complaint as possible.

The app needs a subtotal of time between different games on a single day to be shown. It needs to show what games are being play and by who also.

Using to gain access to statistics not really to control my kids' gameplay. Although those functions are present and the app has a clean UI and peforms as intended. A detailed player profile statistics app or those built in here are a necessary consideration.

Nintendo Switch Parental Controls is a surprise hidden gem on mobile. You play as Bowser Jr as he bonds with his father Bowser. The wonderful level design compliments the game. I reccomend this game for those who want to see Bowser's point of view. 10/10.
