Pyrope Browser

-I've stopped using this app because it's just not polished enough. Chrome works 100% of the time, which is great. I'll leave this review at 5 stars though because I have hope for this app and it does load web pages very fast (when the pages load correctly). -I'd like to suggest that the developers 1. Make sure the app is running the latest version of chromium for security and efficiency purposes 2. Polish the app instead of creating new features -Create a solid foundation you can build on top of so that anything new you create for this app stands strong -I was also still getting the bug for URLs being too long and getting an error screen that carries over to the homescreen and any app

Everytime I hold the backspace within the app, the cursor jumps a character and it backspaced all the rest. This is especially bad when you do a single backspace because when the cursor jumps, it screws up what you are trying to search for. Please fix this issue.

Ads of all types. This now makes the browser an annoyance.(Since adblock is not in plugin form, it is directly a browser issue.) Ads are the largest issue I have on the net. I will try again on the next version... Again you are wrong, I do not have an Exynos chip, it is a Snapdragon 801.

Has potential. Copy and pasting in address bar or anywhere else hardly works right for me. Such a simple tasks becomes tedious and aggravating. Swiping windows closed works half the time on 1st try. Many crashes for my s7 so far. Blocks most ads is a plus.

It's a solid browser, yet there is a bug I found when browsing for the first few minutes. I go to a website to watch a video and ads are blocked which is great but the video player also disappears. I would love to see ublock origin as the default ad blocker because the 3rd party filters feature in ublock origin is awesome

I had this app but deleted it because it was playing up. Am interested in the future as I see it has a lot of potential. However, I noticed it hasn't had an update since Dec, 2016. Will keep checking periodically. Keep it up. This could be the outright best app for S7 edge.

Hey man, how can i get youtube to work playing in the background? It works only for a minute, then it suddenly stops and i have to open Pyrope again and again haha ^=^ TIA (ROM: R.R. 7.1.1)

Love the night mode! Not loving how huge the tab / address bar is on my tablet, or the fact that it cannot be hidden and is not amoled black. The lack of a tab drawer is also annoying. Auto-pagination is broken for some sites like finance yahoo. Speed is adequate, but I wonder if it would be faster with a proxy like skyzip or Google's data compression. Still no way to export/ import tab sessions. But I absolutely love this night mode!

This browser is based on old Chromium version 42 which is almost two years old. This means this browser is missing important security fixes from all that time not to mention all the other benefits of two years of development by the Chromium project.

Idk if it's just me but I don't have an ad blocker feature on mine. I went to alot of ad-saturated sites and check if it popped up and nothing. I'm gonna try uninstalling and reinstalling and seeing if that helps. If you have a solution that would be great.

I am changing my review , having given 5 stars previously. I really loved the night mode and immersive mode , but now it has become just unusable due to constant crashes . Really disappointed. It would have been a great browser , but due to the lack of updates , it has become an abomination.

By far the fastest browser I have used in awhile! I just ran into a problem. Thought I should let y'all know so it can be better for me in future updates. For some reason when typing things, the curser wants to leave a letter. Like an example I type 'there' if I decide to delete the word it will leave an 'e'. No matter how much I try it will not delete the letter till I type in another word. I am going to keep using the app. I just hope y'all fix it soon. It is quite annoying. I'm using Google keyboard.

I'm having an annoying bug where I backspace my Google search in the app and it won't delete the last character. The cursor moves over one character and won't ever delete the last letter...

If I search something from the Google app and open it in pyrope, then hit the back button, the tab stays open and it goes back to the Google app. So if I make 10 searches I have 10 tabs open. Why doesn't back close the newly opened tab like other browsers?

It's really good and definitely faster but the few glitches and drawbacks it does have is enough to make me uninstall. For eg. When backspacing it skips letters. There's open in incognito optn and no new tab button on the all tab screen. Also no touch to search option which I personally find very useful.

Still a tad buggy, but this could become the best browser ever. Seriously. Some things for the developer to fix: some sites like cnn doesn't load right if Java is disabled, if a link opens a window over the site none of the links work (force those floating windows to always open as a new tab), more crashes if java is enabled. Crashing Java is by far the biggest issue.

An option for 'merged tabs and apps' like previous Chrome Dev version might improve navigation. Right now it's difficult to open and switch tabs.

One crash aside (running 24 tabs) and a slight problem displaying formulae (far too small relative to other text on the page) this is a great browser. The aforementioned issues are reasonably easy to ignore however the biggest problem for me personally is the downloading experience. Say you want to save an image. You have to hold, press save, press save again and now go back from the download screen the app throws you into for no reason whatsoever. Firefox lets you simply press 'save' with no popup screens

Overall I love this browser! It's basically chrome but better, faster, lightweight, has more useful features etc. There is only one bug which is starting to drive me crazy: Sometimes while typing some words, if you make a typo and need to go back (delete) the cursor will skip over a letter, making it very difficult to edit. Other than that, it is the best!

So many annoyances that I don't know where to start. The browsing experience is very meh so far.

It makes my Xperia M2 great again, I can see their efforts in reducing thumbnail size especially.. however, please remove the ugly icon border for pinned web app

Wildly unstable on my Verizon Galaxy s8. A shame because I really like the full screen feature. Looks super good on this phone when the app doesn't cosntantly crash on mundane web pages.

Works decent enough in most cases, but there is plenty of room for improvement before it can become my main browser; in particular: new tab/close tab button too close to each other; zero control over adblocking, can't customize, check or add rules; ugly recent pages home screen; no Google account integration (to fetch bookmarks or form data); Google search page seem to have broken (as desktop-looking site started to open just recently).

Its Fast browser with great potential to be the best. Only thing that always hinders me from using it since updated to Android 7, I am facing lot of crashes, as soon as a heavy site loads it can't handle the content and crashes, web page cant load the content. But for light sites it works perfectly, i find this browser to be faster than opera mini and others. If this continues crash thing can be resolved it will be my daily goto browser. Initially it worked flawlessly, I tried clear cache and data too as well as reinstalled the app but crashes remain persistent. I am using Xiaomi Mi5 but if its working for others I will highly recommend this browser is really fast and good one on any network you use or wifi. I just wish developer releases an update to resolve the issues that I am facing on my phone.

Needs gestures to change between tabs and an easier way to remove existent tabs. Also an specific history button. Chrome 42? Please use a newer version... At least 54… It creates huge amounts of cache.. 250 mb in an hour. The developer doesnt answer questions at email

Im an old gello user and this is the first time I've switched the browser without regretting this feels like an updated and more secure gello. Pls try to add a new feature that we can change the download location. Thank you and keep the good work !

The error with typing with existed for a long time with that have been finally fixed. Congratulations for that! But a new problem, at least for me, seems to have appeared. That is, crashes. The crashes do not occur too many times but when it does, it happens only when opening a page right after a Google search. Hoping for a fix.

very nice browser, 3 things to add option for background tabs to be open, because they reload every time you switch around in different tabs option for excluding sites from night mode, since some don't work as well in night mode, maybe add the option to use night mode only on certain sites and a better icon, the current one is kinda meh.. I expect more from a browser icon

Please add a home button option to go directly to the homepage and add an option to bring the menu bar to the bottom of the browser.Using it on big screen phone is cumbersome.

Seem great, but 1) Can't add Favorite page as Homepage 2) Edge navigation is a little bit laggy: - doesn't always catch swipe from side; - I would appreciate if it wouldn't reload pages when "Navigate across history" is selected

when i slide up and down, the height of content's web is change. it make me feel not good.it does not smooth scroll. im using redmi note3. hope improve.

Instead of deleting the last letter when using this browser, it deletes the second to last letter. This single handedly makes the experience awful. Making new tabs is equally cumbersome and should be made more similar to current chrome. Even when I'm logged in the app can't access my bookmarks. This app is compete trash.

I love it because it's super fast and it has a great look. Awesome also the adblocker, but I am not able to play videos from at least two major news websites. Fix it, please!

Absolutely terrible, it's so slow, it doesn't load videos from web pages, it's not showing web pages correctly, the interface is annoying but the ad block and night mode are good though, also that snapdragon optimization stuff is false, snapdragon user here and I can say that the performance is terrible.

Great UI in the way that is simple and clean . fast and responsive and blocks ads most of the time ... Totally love it , hope the devs make more good apps in the future . good devs

Been looking for a dark browser for a long time. This is exactly what I needed. Great for phones with an AMOLED panel (which is almost all phones these days) to save screen and battery.

Sometimes won't open links by clicking and have to long click and open in new tab, happens more often if you leave app and come back, refreshing doesn't help. It would be great if you could take a screenshot within the app somehow since using looklock prevents the built-in screenshot but it's nice to know it works.

Keeping this review at 5 stars since I love what you are doing with this browser. The main problem I have been experiencing is that it won't load every page correctly. It happens enough so that I have to keep a second browser installed just to access the pages this browser won't work with. Keep up the good work! I hope to see an update soon to fix this critical issue!

Awesome browser. Undoubtedly the fastest android browser ever used. Loads page in no time, so far every website I visited was loaded correctly. I have been using browsers like Naked Browser, Lightning browser, and Atlas for a while which are some of the fastest browsers but Pyrope beat all of them. Yet, I recommend few more refinement or functionality. I regularly visits only a few webpages and I usually bookmark those pages. In Naked Browser, and lightning browser, swiping from right/left (user has the choice in the latter) will provide listing of bookmarks created, so in one swipe and a click you access favorite website. I wish the developer would adopt this feature.

Overall I enjoy my browsing experience on Pyrope: it's fast, intuitive, has the ability to save pages and quickly share via variety of ways. The dark theme is a fantastic feature, I wish all the browsers had that by default. One major issue that I've found annoying is failure to screenshot web pages majority of the time.
