Things are going well. I liked the hovering popup feature so much. But later on when im trying to create a new message, the app force closes when i was typing the contact name... also the message bubbles could use more improvement hehe. Somehow i dont feel comfortable looking at the message bubble. EDIT: gave this app another chance the next day. Thr force close happen anymore

I love this app and I use the pop-up heads all the time. The newish x on the bottom of the screen means I can't drag my heads to the bottom without closing them though. Not to mention it's buggy. Sometimes it just makes the head invisible. Not a big deal, I just want the option to remove it. Also, it would be very nice if the pictures people sent me were bigger than they are now. I of course can tap on the picture to see it fullscreen though. Add #ed texts when they're broken up into multiple texts please.

Great job. Any chance of adding XMPP using it as a fail over for when mobile network is unavailable? This would be for anyone online with an xmpp account associated to their normal SMS number. It would be a great addition for those with good WiFi access in fringe mobile areas. Particularly good if used with Facebooks xmpp interface.

A few things need fixed. I'd like to be able to add contacts into my phone from a chat with a new number. I'd also like the pictures in MMS to come out in higher resolution, in original format. Lastly, I cannot paste in the popup window, only when I enlarge to full screen. If these features are not added, I may seek a different messaging app.

I really like it but I cannot receive mms! It keeps saying fix apn and copy to new apn and it won't let me change it absolutely can't get it to work!! Please help! :( other than that It's amazing I recommend everyone have it. Way better than textra and go SMS pro

When I first got this app, I loved it a lot. Great to use very quickly and have things running in the background. It was difficult in the beginning making sure that my MMS settings worked correctly and every now and then didn't show contacts names. Eventually it got too difficult to work with and had to uninstall.

I went through 10 apps to find this one. I LOVE the chatheads!! The only prob is that there's no number icon that pops up to tell me how many SMSs are waiting for me to read. I can go for days without realizing that I've received one. If you'd fix this issue, it'd be PERFECT.

I would've given 5 stars as I love the app. But suddenly with the last few updates I can no longer send or receive mms all it will do is try and download over and over and run my battery down. Please help me to fix this issue so I may give it the rating it deserves. Thanks val.

Only qualm right now is I seem to experience a bug with texts. Right after I send one, sometimes it doesn't update visually, meaning I can't see the text I just sent until I back out to the conversation list and then click on the conversation again. It only does this sometimes and it is pretty miniscule. Otherwise perfect use. I love this app. Galaxy s4

Should have been an easy 5 star rating but buuuut.. Can't save drafts! Like when you back out midway of composing a message and usually the default sms app saves it. This one does not. And how about a way to sift through contact,stranger and unread messages. Overall, a good find!

Simple, modern, trivial, messenger features are not working as intended. Videos show up as blank messages and you have to view them in a separate messenger app. Sending pictures work "every now and then" (at best) . Other times you get a "did not work" logo - click the "resend" button and *poff* the pictures dissappear... Can recommend this app, which kinda sucks because I like the chat heads...

The primary function of the app works as advertised. There are still some things to figure out, like the lack of anything in the store and some visuals on the bubbles themselves being offset. That being said this is pretty much the only app that lets you put texts into bubbles so it is definitely worth it.

Great app and #1 in my book. My biggest concern is that it don't support video msg, gifs, or even Contact share. Being able to reply back on top of any app SO COOL and convenient. I have told and share the app to so many of my android friends and several have install it. Please add those features and that no SMS app can compare to you.

Hands down the best SMS app available. The MMS experience on the other hand is not so great. Videos don't load, pix look distorted, can't see members of a group message, etc. Haven't found an app quiet as user friendly to replace this though

I would give this app 0 stars if possible. It made my phone glitch like crazy and then somehow deleted all my pictures in my gallery... It also doesn't have any themes to choose from except the black or white ones. Quite annoying. I loved the app at first but I refuse to ever download it again.

Can I request? That you will add a setting that can change the chat head just for the right handed person like me. So if I want to minimize the chat head "only circle chathead will be shown" and so, I can easy minimize it through my right thumb :)

Great idea and app. It's easy to use. However some people that I message are getting SMS with blank text. If I switch back to my old messenger then no problem. I'm not sure what Hover is doing to the protocol. The recipients are using Android too

Instead, it should lead to selection. 2) new message button should be aligned bottom-right, not center, and a simple + sign will do. 3) needs to implement a colored statusbar for lollipop devices 4) settings should not be dropdown, it should be a menu with submenus 5) the indentation for user name in the left sidebar is weird, does not fit the app overall; should be changed

I was using it on a HTC M8 with all current updates. I like the app except : 1. It does not support multiple recipients 2. It doesn't give warning If messages fail. Other than the above, it seemed good, if fixed I would re-do the rating. If you never have to send a message to multiple recipients, it's a good fit

App started acting up with volume and pop-up issue. Notification volume seems to be totally independent of system settings, its super annoying. And the pop-up will close away when minimized. The volume is the worst though, it won't go to vibrate when I turn my phone to vibrate for sure.

I love the idea of this app. Performance is pretty good, not great though. For a texting app, everything should be smooth and easy to use. For me, the theme store is broken and says there are 0 themes, so the theme claim in the description is wrong. I have also experienced a bug where it reloads the app every once in a while when I receive a new message. It also appears that it can't handle more than 2 bubbles. Improve these and you get a 5* rating.

I used to love this app on a Samsung Galaxy S5 running android 5. Then I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S7 running Android 6. Now, mere hours after I turn on and set up Custom Notifications, they're turned back off. I have set up HoverChat as the default app. Any ideas why the app keeps turning the Custom Notifications off?

Love it- best text app on here, just for the working chat heads; so convenient! Store doesn't work for me though (never has) and the chat heads sometimes freeze just before vanishing when dismissed leaving it stuck at the bottom of my screen.

There's only one thing keeping this from being my default texting app. That thing is the lack of an option to split multi-part messages into multiple sms messages. My phone does not seem to like what seems to be a conversion to mms messages when sending multiple part messages. It simply will not send the message unless I manually split the message into multiple single part sms messages.

Superb great n amazing app.. Just what i needed.. There is only one bug i am facing.. Its.. When i open theme store.. It always says NO ITEMS TO DISPLAY

I was using it and loved some of the themes and the chat heads. I uninstalled it for some reason and when I went back to it at a later time, their "store" said there were no themes. I tried to log in to see my purchases and it crashed. I uninstalled again then went back a few months later with no change. If they aren't fixing issues like that, then I'll just use something else. Chat head were very unique to this at the time but now I have other options that are being updated.

Use it as my default sms, needs 2 things for me so far though - voice to text & something in the upgrade options

I used this exclusively for long time before notifications were so prevalent. Going to see if I can try out once again

Good and all love the customization and floating windows BUT wheres the themes ability to purchase pro features even and so on? I discovered you in 2014 sometime and you still have no themes, what have you been doing all this time for roughly a year and a half? Give us more! The theme manager screenshot is false advertisement as the only theme's that are available are Black or White.

It reminded me of facebook messenger. I love the idea of chat bubbles. I have no complaints for now. Keep up the good work. (update: It's gotten a bit slow as of recently)

Loving this app! Replaces Hangouts as my default messenger, small issues for me are that managing multiple pop outs can be difficult as they sit on top of each other. (fb messenger used to do that better) I would pay for the paid version if I could tell what you get extra for it but it's not clear in the description. Also any chance of getting Android Auto support?

I bought this in the ninja chat days. You gave up on the best sms app. And now I hate you so much.

When I cancel chat heads they seem to dissappear but really stay there freezing up my screen. And it keeps opening up my keyboard when no chat head is visible. Also how is there nothing in the shop? That's what it's telling me. I used this before and loved being able to customize it...and it use to work. Lately it's been lagging and force closing. Not happy.

This latest update caused the app to crash 40 times in the last week. Android is recommending me to Uninstall it and I'm planning on doing that until it's fized

Just a few gripes with it my pics are always sideways and I have to rotate on another note I can access this app from lock screen via camera function when locked if I've been chatting with someone please fix these few things

The fact that on a password protected device you can simply swipe left to go to the camera and open a chat bubble completely ruins the app. I really want to use it, but I can't because of this.

I gave up on hoverchat for this reason: If you try to send a photo when you have a weak signal it will not send and there is nothing that lets you know the photo did not send. Then, when you finally realize it didn't send, there is no option to resend it. THEN, when you delete the photo and try to resend it when you have a strong signal, it STILL won't send. This is a terrible and, in my opinion, unacceptable flaw.
