About MetroCard Balance Tracker Mta

NYC MetroCard Balance Tracker app keeps track on your MetroCard Balance so you know when to refill your MetroCard.

See our step by step video to understand how the app works.↑↑↑
Currently the only way to check your balance and see how many fares you have left is at a turnstile or a fare machine. As New Yorkers there have been too many times when we swipe our MetroCard just to find out that we do not have any fares left.

With NYC MetroCard Balance Tracker app you can track your balance before you head out and see in advance the amount of fares you have left so you know when to refill your MetroCard.

How the NYC MetroCard Balance Tracker app works?

The NYC MetroCard Balance Tracker app features automatic and manual balance tracking options.

Auto Option:
Step 1: add a new metrocard at the apps home dashboard
Step 2: select the auto option
Step 3: enter the balance of your card (the amount after the bonus)
Step 4: select the days and the amount of times you ride each day
Step 6: enter a card nickname
Step 7: click save

Based on your card settings the NYC MetroCard Balance Tracker app will keep track of your fares by reducing the balance amount according to the rides you had setup to ride that day. To keep accurate tracking record, we will send you a daily notification of the amount of rides the app has swiped for you so you can add or deduct fares if you had a change in schedule on that day.

Manual Option:
Step 1: Add a new metrocard at the apps home dashboard.
Step 2: Select the manual option.
Step 3: Enter the balance of your card (the amount after the bonus).
Step 4: Enter a card nickname.
Step 5: Click save.

The NYC MetroCard Balance Tracker app will keep track of your fares by allowing you to "swiped" on you card in the app everytime you ride MTA. The app will then reduce your metrocard balance and update the amount of fares you have left.

With NYC MetroCard Balance Tracker app you can add multiple cards to keep track on your personal or business metrocards.

The app also features a notification system which will alert you everytime your balance is low so you know when to refill your MetroCard.

Never swipe an empty metrocard again. Enjoy riding NYC MTA!

Horrible. I read all the bad reviews and decided to try it out myself and its true it does crashes everytime. I thought I could actually check the balance by putting in the card number from the back but it doesn't even let me do that.

I don't understand how this app is beneficial at all. You can't enter your metrocard number and have it spit out a balance. Way better to just get a "Easy Pay Metro Card". That auto refills.

Like most other reviews, crashes every time I try to set up nickname

I don't understand why so many people are rating this one star. It is a useful app for infrequent riders like myself. I always question whether I have enough money on my metro card. However, there are key limitations: lack of add cents (with the bonus, this is important), ability to change the amount as I take express buses instead of the subway.

I work from home, so I don't use my Metrocard every day. This little app is great for keeping track of the balance on my Metrocard. I love how the manual setting allows me to swipe my hand across the card on the app, and one fare is deducted.

Perfect design and UI for another stupid app. I mean I can use calendar to remind me that I have to buy a card. Why would I spend my time adding rides to the app after every card use. It brings no value and problem solving to my life. Unless someone will create a reminder for adding swipes to the app...

Extremely limited in its features. For my day to day use of $2.75 swipes it's great, but I would have to manually change my balance if I took the JFK AirTrian or an Express Bus. Having a button for those two would be great for those who travel frequently or visit SI, which is what many New Yorkers use the cash on the card for most frequently. Having a "pill reminder" feature that allows the user to quickly add 7 or 30 day ultd in addition to the balance would be great too. The chaching sound is annoying too

N70%
by N####:

This app is stupid. I can calculate my balance myself. Defiantly not what I expected. Now if it could scan and receive the card info then I would consider it but as of now....no good.

N70%
by N####:

Worthless at full price fares...

I70%
by I####:

It's scan and receive you're metrocard for you. The trains & buses already tell me my balance after each swipe. I can do the math on my own, I don't need a middle man

N70%
by N####:

However I don't see the point... useless app which I will be deleting. Everyone you swipe, it tells your balance. I thought you could entry your card # and it showed your balance. Additional features that would be awesome would be the ability to top up your card within the app.

B70%
by B####:

I love the idea that it will remind me of when to refilling my metrocard.

N70%
by N####:

You can't actually input your metrocard info. U have to tell the app when you used the card. Really dumb app
