About CA UIM Mobile

The CA UIM (Unified Infrastructure Management) Mobile application provides a convenient way to view the health of IT infrastructure and services from anywhere in the world. The app provides access to the groups and alarms configured in the Unified Service Manager (USM), a portlet in the Unified Management Portal (UMP).

CA UIM Mobile is a client application only, and requires a compatible Nimsoft Monitor server-side installation. CA UIM Mobile also requires a compatible UMP installation with the mobile web services component deployed.

does not work on samsung note 4 , it shows only alert count but no data

W70%
by W####:

Shows the number of alarms I have but will not show the data. Will not allow me to logout. When I try I get a confirm popup that will never go away. This is on a Galaxy S5 running android 5.0

Y70%
by Y####:

Can log in but get no alarm data. This would be very cool if it worked so please fix.

Latest version still not working. App has not been tested by CA when the site is published securely using reverse proxies, or with any load balancing technologies. As a result it does not work, and CA have informed me that they have no information on how to make it work or where the issues may be. The only way to get it to connect is if you have your server directly firewalled onto the internet, which is an obvious risk. When I have tested on our internal network it seems to work well.

Ho hum guess CA dropped the ball again

O70%

No metrics, no settings for the way I want to show alarms. It is too simple to be used as monitoring app. It it much better to use PagerDuty app for alerting and than go to Nimsoft USM. If you could use at least sound alert I could use it for quick overview before I login to the web.

The login credentials are passed as a GET to the server. This results in readable username/password in the access_log of the web or proxy server that I am accessing ump through. The desktop web interface passes login as a post. Why would this not be used on the mobile? This behavior is not acceptable for my use.

Works on perfectly on Galaxy S 4, only gives blinking blue screen on Galaxy Tab 2. Four Stars for the function and robustness on the phone, minus one for not working immediately on tablet. Even running at low resolution would have been useful for a tablet given our usage of the product.

I used the previous 7.0 version for months and loved it. This 7.1 version just gives a blinking blue screen. We do have it working on Galaxy S4 so hopefully it's just the Android version.

Cannot connect to the service. Using a browser on my phone and tab I can get to the UMP, but the app says to check network connection.
