This app is my go to. I keep my baro pressure right, and this thing is wired tight. For my 300 WM shooting 180 sst superformance. I use the expanded reticle and make a cheat sheet for a football play sleeve. Got a doe (it was a yearling) 475 yds right in the white patch under the chin. Had to finish a deer off at 460 last year (someone elses bad shot). Got a cow elk at 485 3 years ago. When it starts giving me problems just reinstall it and it works great.

Add more ammo for the S&W 460! I have to customize a CorBon load on my pc. This load doesn't even show in the app. Please update the ammo with current production runs. Yeah I could enter it all manually on my pc, but that would make the app useless, wait a minute....

Can not get app to function at all. When trying to change weapon will not change at all. Can't change anything on screen.. don't fix what not broken.

I shoot a .243 Ruger American at upwards of 400yd with handloads. The app is truly "spot on" with the bullet drop calculations. I dont really use the bdc in my scope, I just use the app to get the drop info to dope my scope, so I cannot attest to the accuracy of the bdc charts..

Doesn't work. Can't change any information without app crashing. Uninstalled and reinstalled but still same issue. This is garbage!

K70%

Gives a lot of relevant information. Would like to see the bdc/expanded bdc view to show hold for above the zero distance for the mildot view. (Ie: zeroed for 200, show values of dots above line)

Damn thing wont change any settings in it. It just dont work. Its a POS. Revised October 28 2016: After getting a newer version, it works great now. Use it all the time. Revised August 26 2017. Still no problems and its dead on accurate, confirmed with laser range finder and gps. Just have to fiddle with the BC of your bullets because they are NOT what bullet companies say they are. Once you find the right BC of your bullet, you cant beat this app.

The field chart on the prostaff 5 4.5-18x40 sf ftp isn't set for a ffp optic so it's invalid.. Values shouldn't change based on magnification on a ffp optic. Disappointed that this still wasn't addressed with the last update. Hoping a 1 star rating will grab Nikon's attention to fix the issues. At least they fixed the other issues.. Asides from G7 being saved permanently when selected.

App worked fine until an update sometime in May 2017. Since then, it crashes everytime the Fire button is tapped. That was 2 months ago. From the other comments, there seems to be no attempt to fix the problem. It crashes on both my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and my LG G6 smartphone. Plenty of free storage and memory. UPDATE: It's now October 15, 2017 and the app is still crashing on both of my Android devices. If not fixed by December, I'm through with Nikon products ...

Can't really change the scope. I changed it to a 4-12x Buckmaster. The name changes but the scope stays as a 3-9x Coyote. Sort of makes the app useless for me. The ballistic table it makes seems ok though. Too bad Nikon hired a developer who doesn't give a rip about the product. It's a good concept but a poor implementation. I tried the iPhone app too, and it isn't any better.

App crash every time you hit the fire button worked fine till last update if not fixed I see no reason to purchase Any more of Nikon's product line that this app is for . My last scope was purchased in large part because of this app and it's abilities. Lots of other options out there fix soon or by Nikon

by P####:

App used to be good but now it shuts down when trying to use. On top of that, the optic I use (buckmaster 2 4x12) isn't loaded properly. It only shows to 9 power instead of all the way to 12 power. Please fix this. Seems a lot of reviews lately are the same with no action from the app team. Very disappointing. I used to recommend it but can't do that now.

K70%
by K####:

Before the latest update the app worked great, however the latest update made this worthless. I can only get it partially working on the first attempt after a fresh install, but even then my actual scope model info doesn't come up making the app useless. Zero quality control, and zero quality assurance before release.

Deployed a disastrous, completely nikon functioning version release. Took weeks to make it functional again. Lost my confidence in being able to use this app when I need it in the long term. When it works, it is a nice app.

N70%

Great idea on paper but not a great app. Nikon makes great products but their software is not on par. Even my Nikon camera app is difficult to keep running and crashes. Even uninstalling and reinstalling will not correct issue.

N70%

The app worked great on my Samsung S8+ until I bought the Nikon wind gauge. Now, when I plug in the windmeter, the app closes. If I plug in the windmeter, open the app, go to Atmospheric Conditions, touch the Get Wind button, the app closes. Buying the windmeter was a waste of forty bucks.

App continuously crashes! I have sent many messages and haven't heard anything back! Wish that would fix it could be a great app. It's trash the way it's working now.

N70%

App keeps closing, not worth it. Submitted multiple messages to the developer, no replies. Quite a shame, I think nikon makes excellent rifle scopes. But Im quite disappointed on their app support

D70%
by D####:

App used to be awesome when it worked. Now the damn thing sucks. The app stops and closes out every time you try to "fire". Really wish they would fix..

N70%

App crashes, everytime the fire button is pressed. I will not buy another Nikon scope, until this app is fixed. Without this app, your scope is useless.... I have a Samsung Galaxy S7.

N70%
by N####:

I bought the range ready kit for the added feature of the wind meter only for the damn thing to not work on my Nexus 6p. I tested it on an iPhone and it works great. Waste of money!

G70%
by G####:

When it worked it was great..... since update completely worthless. So bad that I am no longer looking at purchasing another nikon BDC scope

G70%
by G####:

The reticle in the app looks nothing like the reticle in the scope. I have the buckmasters ii scope with 4-12x magnification. With that scope selected, the reticle shown doesn't look like the one in the scope (app shows a circle where the hairs cross), and the zoom slider shows 3-9x. Decent scope, terrible app. The reticle and drops in Strelok do match my scope, though.

Update on 5/15: had to uninstall, restart phone, reinstall app. Now all appears to be working ok. 3 stars for poor customer service during the down time.

N70%

I only have one Nikon scope. It's a buckmasters II 4-12x40 with a bdc. When I choose that scope in the app, it crashes when I hit fire. Other scope selections seem to work fine, but not the one I have.

Was looking forward to using this app at the range with my Nikon scope and everytime I tried to open it it would crash - every time I fire it looks up

I bought this as a backup foir my kestrel. It's worthless now. The app doesn't read the wind meter at all now. It also fails to read my location to set local conditions. Hopefully the designers will fix it. If they can fix the problems, I will redo the rating.

It wont let me change the bullet. Its stuck at 308. How hard is it to fix this and make it work properly?? Please fix this app

N70%

App works ok. (You have to manually give location permision for wind meter to work.) For medium range targets (400 - 500 yds), it usually results in a first round hit on a 3 MOA target if you have the right inputs. It has a large library of factory loads and of course, the Nikon optics. It needs a way to input firing direction so that the wind values are for the correct angle (it just assumes the target is at 0 degrees). You have to manually set the relative wind angle. The Web version does have the option so I guess you can lug your laptop out to you FP, instead of just your phone. It needs a way to save gun profiles. I have 3 different guns and have to set every setting one at a time to switch between them. It is a bit tedious when three shooters are on the guns waiting for firing solutions and you have to reef all the inputs manually. I know, ı can just carry 3 dedicated devices. Yea, more gear to carry. The BC values don't specify if they are for G1 or G7, so you have to do some homework. Ideally, it should set the form factor to match the stored BC based on the bullet shape in the load library. You guessed it, more manual configuration.

App crashes every time after pressing fire. At least its consistent and ironically no mis-fires...

Installed on my Galaxy S3 with no problems. Picked my scope, ammo load, set up my target distance and what distance zero I want and let the app do the rest. Love that I can just drag the magnification slider left or right for 3x to 9x magnification and the app spits out where to aim.

Just installed update on my Droid. Does not change caliber, ammo and bullet update on the screen. Absolutely useless. Does work on my windows computer but not on the cell phone where it is needed in the field. This has been reported to both Savage Arms before for their trophy hunter, SOS from the computer geeks without correcting this flaw. I would give it a zero but not possible. The computer version is pretty nice, the CELL phone version is USELESS for reasons stated.
