Terrible app. Even updating firmware on camera to latest v1.4 does not help. Can never connect via wifi to download and view photos. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Using this smartphone app for remote photography is impossible. I now have to use the ML-L6 remote to achieve remote photography and CANNOT preview anything using the smartphone even if I disconnect the remote. Seems Nikon has abandoned the 360 market as well so DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

So I was a little upset with this software and gave it a 1 star rating, initially. Its not that bad. It's not great but it works as long as you take some specific steps each time. Do not attempt to connect to the camera using your phone's native Bluetooth capabilities, you must always connect to the camera using Nikon's software. When you are done using the camera, make sure to end the connection to the camera in Snapbridge as well as in your phone's Bluetooth menu. If you don't do this, the next time you use Snapbridge, the camera will look like it is pairing but it will never show up in Snapbridge.

Horrible app, nothing but problems. Just upgraded Nexus 6P to Android 8.1 and now I am getting notifications that the app is draining my battery due to "Requesting Location Frequently". I have turned off all location features but app is still requesting location. I have big security concerns about this. I own three Ricoh Theta models, their app has been exceptional from the start. I guess I will just install when I need it...

R70%
by R####:

Does not connect to the device. Gets stuck on connection with no time out or error. No process to fix broken connections, no way to activate camera WiFi to even attempt to connect. Very poor form.

R70%
by R####:

Having to use WiFi for remote controlling is terrible when the app constantly disconnects the WiFi and then doesn't recognize it's connected to the camera WiFi. Have yet to successfully remote control and I've had this for a year now. Worst camera app and software ever. Buy a Samsung Gear 360.

Should have looked at app and reviews before purchasing the Nixon coolpix B500. Useless camera when the app is total trash and worthless. Buy another brand of whom has a strong and caring app.

R70%
by R####:

Not only is the application extremely hard to use and inconsistent between Android devices, but as of this writing and not having used the app since last night, it killed almost 20% of my battery life. What the hell is this app doing all day if I'm not touching it? Nikon, please address these issues.

by R####:

This is The next company going to die soon after Kodak, because of there lack of innovations and compatition of neo technology. And not changing the software mistakes and issues.

R70%
by R####:

Terrible software. It works but you have to try really hard to get it todo what you want. Nikon have a reputation for reinventing the wheel when there is already a perfect solution and this is what they have done again. If you want something which is easy to use then Nikon software is not for you.

Most horrible worthless app i've encountered. I want to have my money back since your app and the camera is so worthless. I tried changing phones 3 times just to make sure its not something to do with the app thought it some thing to do with my phone, but when i read the reviews and everything, figured it out its not only me. Hey nikon i want my money back and you can get your camera back. Features on your camera is not working. Its so promising that you wont even recommend to your friends buying this expensive camera. Contact me asap ill give you your camera back.. And to the people out there. I Dont recommend buying this camera features on the camera is not working properly i may suggest to buy other brands dont waste your time.. If you'll buy 1 will definetely see your comment here in the future that this camera sucks!

This is quite useless . The camera says to use NFC, the app wants t?o use bluetooth. Then neither can find each other. How can a kid in his basement put out a 4.5 star app in 6 months, and Nikon can't write an app for a technology that has been out for years

R70%
by R####:

Got two updates on tablet, everything is working out like the instructions say, don't forget to unpair everything when you get ready to close the app. You have to pair the devices every time you want to use them together. That's what I have been fighting with. Don't forget to unpaire the devices Bluetooth connection! Everytime for every use! I've changed my mind, I like the way this works just fine. Two weeks now, every day, flawless!

R70%
by R####:

With the latest firmware v1.4 on the cam and Android 8 on the phone it works after all. Not very fast, sometimes it crashes, but at least after one year of updates, the camera is usable together with a mobile phone.

Like all nikon apps does nothing! Bought the camera thinking I could use the WiFi and Bluetooth to connect to camera, BUT NO! They will not connect!

R70%

R70%

This app is absolute garbage. Scrap it, fire everyone involved with development and start from scratch! This app makes my $500 camera basically useless. The only thing it does is send pics to my phone. Can't even use it to tell the camera what I want it to do. TERRIBLE!! If I could give zero stars I would! C'mon Nikon! You're better than this! Tried it with iPhone 6 and 7 and galaxy 5.

N70%
by N####:

Worst app ever, too many hoops to jump through, connection fails constantly on my iPhone 6 and will not connect at all to my Samsung s8+ even with all firm ware updated. In the end all I ended up with was an expensive paperweight. Just bought the 360Fly, works like a charm.

R70%
by R####:

Update : why the interface change when almost everyone that buys this thing is having connection problems? That should be the only thing you guys are working on. Still garbage. I can't believe they released this camera. The app is unusable wich means the camera is to. I love my Nikon products but this is ridiculous. They need to overhaul the entire app so I can try and enjoy my camera or I'm going to have to start looking outside my usual Nikon bubble for different products.

G70%
by G####:

App pairs fine when you re-pair after firmware update or/and phone update. Any issues can be solved by purchasing a fast u3 sd card. The app could use more features and cleaner GUI but works 100%. Must use U3 micro SD card for reliability!

R70%
by R####:

This app has rendered my Keymission almost unusable, since it's not compatible with Android after my phone updated. That's a bunch of money down the drain. Update your garbage app already.

S70%
by S####:

I want to be able to controle the ISO and shutterspeed! This would be a huge improvement. Connecting is still a big problem.
