An app that auto toggles wifi and cell radio for maximum battery life
This app will probably only be useful to Project Fi users as it can disable radios while keeping wifi on if. This could work for Republic Wireless users, but your device must be rooted, and most of their devices are hard to root without losing functionality.
As long as your carrier supports WiFi calling and SMS over WiFi, you are good to go
Tested on Nexus 6 with Project Fi
In-app purchases are for donations and are not required to use all features. Ads can also be turned off if desired.

20 hours on the battery right now and my phone says the 30 per cent left will be good for another 9 hours. 30 FREAKIN HOURS ON A SINGLE CHARGE. And the LG V1O isn't known for fabulous battery life.

Even though I'm connected to a strong Wi-Fi network, when I try to make a call, it says I can't make calls with airplane mode on. Rooted Nexus 6P on Android N using Project Fi.

I have horrible cell reception in my apartment and drop 90% of my calls. I was manually turning on airplane mode, but I'd always forget to turn it back off. My biggest gripe I had with my Fi experience. You sir, have made one happy man!

Better than the automate flow I was using because this keeps Bluetooth things connected while activating airplane. Only thing I'd like is activating 2g on WiFi and enabling airplane like it does when the cellular connection is weak

Brilliantly simple! Works as described. However, I was a bit confused at first. It didn't start working immediately after the install, had to disable/enable WiFi for it to kick in. An awesome feature to add to this app would be enable the cell radio during a call all the time or just when the wifi signal is weak. This would tie in well with the seamless call routing from wifi to cell towers that Project Fi has. Thanks NikhilP!

I needed to enable airplane mode with Tasker to use wifi calling when carrier signal was low and also to save battery life, however secure settings at this moment is not working with systemless root and that will break your profiles to enable and disable airplane mode. This is when this little apps come to the rescue, just change the timer to wait X amount of seconds before triggering the simple profile of if you are connected to WiFi for X amount of seconds them enable airplane mode and disable data.

It doesn't work every time, pretty unreliable. I have to Google cell data just to ensure it doesn't end up being used whole connected to WiFi
