Nike+ Run Club for Android
I've been using this app for the past three years and the work they have put into it in the last year or so makes a huge difference. I do wish however, that interval training could have audio so you didn't have to visually track the screen and thus compromise form, and also that Spotify could hook up to play music. Overall really great and nice looking however!
It's much better than it used to be, for a start. However, my run occasionally ends when I switch out of the app (to a different one). Once I reopen and start the run, however, it goes right back to where I stopped, so that's good. It's just a minor inconvenience. I love the coach plans and i only have one qualm with them: when rescheduling your runs you should have the option of moving runs between weeks (especially from Sunday to Monday). Other than that it's an excellent app and lives up to expectations.
I miss being able to see my friend's runs against my own. One used to be able to compare their highest speed and longest distance with friends. Now you only see their distance for the month only. I also miss the Challenges feature where you could open a challenge and invite friends to participate and run towards that goal. Overall it's good but I'd like these 2 features back.
I started this journey a month and 2 weeks ago, after 4 years with no exercise. My first run took me almost 14min. Today I completed 1.tmi in 15:26 I've lost 24 lbs and I'm not done yet. I love the in run milemarkers and the ability to listen to my choice of music. Right on Nike and Go Ducks from the Mojave desert!
Wrote a detailed review, but the Google store deleted it when i scrolled down for a second.... App is no longer reliably tracking distance (same run can be off by up to a half mile day to day), not reliably pausing/resuming, and not mapping outdoor runs. Used to be a very dependable app, so I'm not sure why it's steadily lost its good points.
For a free app I love all it has to offer (which is a lot). I like that it can track on a treadmill, even though it's a little off w the distance so I just do a little extra to compensate. Outside I must say is accurate as I use it w another app and they both always have the same distance. I have been using it for a little over 9 weeks to train for my 1st half marathon. But then yesterday it updated and my last week's runs disappeared from my schedule, but they did remain on my history. Glitches happen and so far before that I was happy w the app so 5 stars
Great app but needs improvement in GPS and timing. As mine sometimes cuts out half way through a run. Have this app for a few years and this is still the case. But when it works properly it is great especially as it can give you a break down on your pace per mile.
Voice feedback remains broken, making the coaching plans much less helpful. App still does not have an option to leave screen on during runs. Audio crashes mid run with some frequency. I really just want the old version back. I don't want or need social features; I want a good running app.
Something happened and now the app is buggy.. runs do not sync because of a connection error.. I've lost quite a bit of progress because of this. If you log out and then log back in, even synced runs and workouts are removed from the plan.. shame
I used it couple of times and I have decided to switch back to other app.. Tracking was so bad- I run basically the same distance and one day I have run 5,5 km whereas in another day it appears that I have run barely 1km. Lost my motivation during that run, I do care about the amount I have run or improvements, so I quit this one
Dear Nike+ team, I'm building up new coaching plan for a race day, and this is the second time after I completed my first race plan. After filled up all information needed to build my plan, it always said that it has a connection problem. I press retry for many times and start over several times, no different. I just received a lot of email of my new plan. I hope you could helped me with this one. Thank you.
Started running 5 weeks ago to better my health. During the first week I could barely run a mile and wanted to give up. On week 6 I have been able to run 2 miles without stopping. Longest rum i have to date is 2.3, my goal is to enter a 5k before the years end.
I love this app and I would gladly give it 5 stars, but in the past couple weeks, the app has stopped working. For some reason it won't use GPS to track the run despite the fact that my location is always on high accuracy (GPS is on), which leads to wildly inaccurate tracking. It was working perfectly before, and the only thing I can think that caused the change was updating to Android O 8.0. If this is the cause, please optimize this app for the new OS Nike.
After 7 months and more than 325 miles logged, I am ready to give up this app. It has been glitching a lot, especially since the "update" (false starts, where the voice over starts, but the counter doesn't... as well as force stops, where it wants to pause or stop before I am ready to do so). I am going to try out Strava, which was recommended by a friend.
Love the app, but is it possible to add a start date when creating a plan with the coach, like in the Nike Training Club app? I sometimes want to schedule a future training date instead of starting on the day I create the plan. That's the only thing I'd change/ suggest at this time.
A nice app to track your calisthenics. Accurate information compared to run tastic (( my opinion)) I have used both for a long time. Many a times runtastic gave erroneous results, not to forget it was Google app of the year
The update is awful.. i have lost all my efforts until date after updating the app.. also the widgets that were provided earlier are not present now.. :( Now there is also bug in building the coaching plans.. plz fix this. :(
My coach is class... Never trained for a half marathon before and it's really helping me understand what I need to do and when. Did have some voice feedback problems in the middle of my training for a few weeks but that was due to too much data on my phone and voice feedback wasn't able to run. Overall a good app
Only think I would like added is incorporating interval training for running. Right now it's just solid blocks of running time as far as I can tell. But love the app and love how it integrates with the other bike workoit app. Xoxo thanks from Norway!
Really liked the activity log, and the personal achievements. However, the personal trainer is super buggy, and has major syncing issues. Doesn't record my runs properly or attribute them to my training plan. This causes the adaptive plan to lower it's intensity because it thinks I'm not doing the runs, which is frustrating.
I use this for walking and jogging. I've used it for a little couple years now and I definitely enjoy it. Though I turn off the automatic Paul's thing. Because it likes to stop randomly when I'm still walking or jogging. But then maybe my GPS or something. But anyways definitely a good tracking application. Highly recommended.
I have tried several other running apps and this is my favorite. The training programs are really nice, I really like that it takes my progress into consideration throughout the program and rebuilds the program to meet my fitness levels. It's also nice that I can enter and edit runs. That makes it easier to record treadmill runs. I also really likes that it automatically pauses and restarts runs if I stop for a couple of seconds. I was using the premium version of Runkeeper, but turns out I like Nike's free app much better.
I've been using this app for years. It's a great for tracking your pace and distance. However, ever since I switched to the Galaxy S8 the map is all messed up and shows I either ran a circle or a straight line when I ran back roads. It makes it very tough for finding weak spots and improving future runs.
The app has always been something I rely on, but lately I am suspicious of the inconsistencies in tracking as apposed to competitor apps. When your tacking differs by more than 1,5km you have ever to wonder. And since no one reads emails. I will start exploring other options if it continues.
The map was there by default on previous versions, if the option to activate is is still there then you must have hidden it in a silly place coz l can't find it. That was a basic cool thing about a running app. Why disable that with your latest version.
after 5 runs it finally got the distance right. but the displayed route on the map is completely messed up. as well as the heart rate recording. I don't recommend using it for serious run tracking just yet.
Finally, a much cleaner UI! Would like the Summary moved back to Home screen rather than in the Activity page, though. Also, seems to have trouble connecting with Google Fit; runs are not showing up in Fit after update.
After last update nothing works, distance not correct, time not correct, constantly auto pauses and resumes randomly during run messing up stats. If you haven't started using this app do yourself a favor and try a different one. I called Nike run app customer service and they acted like they had heard nothing but good feedback. NEWEST VERSION IS SO GLITCHY IT IS DE-MOTIVATING!!! I'm giving it one or two more runs just because all my runs are on this app but if still no good I'll switch and swear of Nike
I have issue in last two days.. I wanted to change training and wanted to set new one.. All is ok until. I fulfill all details and when need to be submitted and plan to be build it is showing connection error? And i dont have issue with data transfer or wifi.. Pls why is this?
This App has had problem for awhile. I thought it was just me. GPS is not accurate. Running distance are inaccurate. Different distance run. Even though I run the sane route when I go for my runs. The map run too shows partial or inaccurate distance covered.
Undeniably the best application. But the number on my 3 day streak achievement badge is shown wrong, why is that so? And there is a huge difference in the distance I covered and and the speed for the same duration and speed I run on a treadmill on different ocassions!?
Like other users, the app has become useless to me. Doesn't track runs. Other apps have no issues. Nike support wanted me to reset my phone and waste another run instead of admitting there's an issue which there obviously is since I've read it in the comments. Going to uninstall and go with another app. I run multiple times a week and need something solid. Very big fail Nike.
I've had the app over 3 years and I refuse to switch to anything else. I've trained for a half and full marathon using the training schedule which really helped me stay focused on my goals. I highly recommend this app!
I've been with Nike App for some time. Luckily, I stopped running for a bit and missed the rough transition to the apps current form on Android. I like how it's much easier to use and the display is more legible and colorful. The two main things keeping it from being a 5 star app are the missing cheers from Facebook (iOS has this) and that you can't more accurately enter starting data for the custom run coach.
It has helped me keep healthier for longer than I think I have been for years. Keeps me motivated, keeps me striving. I ran in winter with this thing, in Minnesota. Is it all the app? No, it's mostly me, but I think this app helps.
Logs runs, pace and maps the route on google maps with a handy colored infographic. Also tracks miles on particular shoes. Syncs to music, shouts out pace during the run.. so many features I cant believe its free. One of my used apps probs
Stopped working for me a bit ago. Use to have no problem, but now the runs don't track, and even when they do the map and the stats at the end, they aren't correct. I'm on an S7 with the latest version installed, GPS on, etc.
I have to say guys, I have no idea why you withdrew support for Spotify, especially when they have a dedicated running section. I now have to have 2 apps open that can read each other. It's such a shame because I unlike many really enjoyed the changes that were being made. But I need my music, and my music is in an online streaming service, that I pay for, you've taken the wrong approach here, this is not 2008
Very user UNFRIENDLY! Your whole runtime is dinki. With the darn thing! Useless time waster. Just don't bother. An example of many.... I set it for a coach run program to start the next week. For the email and everything. Cool! . Then i opened the app on my personal phone, a different pace/time was set, and no way to change it. Same login, same app. No option to change it. The "settings" are completely useless. Very very very poorly written. Don't be suckered by the pretty graphics.

It doesn't always works my gps on my meizu m3 note and it does't show any songs on the song screen with the native player, I mean, I can pick songs from albums but not from that window. I really like the coach that explains you everything. I would explain on the app what are the advanteges you will have if you belong to the Club like in shops... I don't really like that the train starts without gps connection anyways, I would put a button on settings to change this, and at least some notification when you are going to do a benchmarck and you GPS isn't connected yet. I cannot syncronise my runs with my plan's ones so i can't follow a plan. Thank you and sorry for my english.
