Well... i had the same problem as other people had with cameras not working at all.. finally got fed up and did A FACTORY RESTORE.. and bingo!! All the cameras came back up! I dont know if it had to do with me adding another camera..so it all blacked out or what?? But when i did the restore, it solved the problem.. i can now see all my cams on my phone...hope this helps other people

It works well as advertised, unfortunately it seems the developers never kept up with it. It's a shame considering if they optimized it a bit and fixed issues with the other devices it would work fine. I'd be willing to throw some money for something like that. Though it seems they gave up on this app...

App is still crashing. App is constantly crashing. Now I can't access the two systems that I've installed at two houses. WTF gents? Gonna check with BJ's to see if we can return these systems. I'm really pissed off.

4/2017 I would like to know how do I get my money back? You should really stop selling a product that does not work. I purchased this security system because of the app but it is disappointing. I had to purchase another camera system Arlo, in order to have a piece of mind when I am away from home. The app is very good. 2/2016 Surprised no one has tried to recoup their loss. I have spent so much money on replacing cameras I should have just gone through my alarm company.

This app is crap! One minute it's working fine now nothing at all. We did not change a thing and it just quit working. Doesn't work more times than it does. Frustrating!

I see alot of bad reviews. It did take some tinkering, but now. Absolutely every feature works. ( Don't have ptz camera, so not sure about that) but thank you

****EDIT***** Still doesn't work on mobile network after update 11/25/15, and never get a responce when emailing them. If I could give 0 stars I would. The app worked fine until the newer android operating system, but they have had more than enough time to fix the issue if they cared *******Still unable to view on 3g/4g. It does work while on WiFi a home, but that does me little good.

Whoever developed this app sucks at life. It doesn't work at all except in live view mode, and even that is sketchy. For a company that supposedly has 24 hour customer support, it sure doesn't have a 24 hour developer. I don't even know why this app is on here unless it's one of those prank apps that lets everyone think you have a security system because you sure don't with this app. How about pc options? Ya, it might be useful if you could watch your cameras on your computer. I mean that's just common sens

This app used to be awesome. Now I cannot see anything at all under live view and if I try to play anything back the app just crashes. It is useless to me now.

This worked great until a few days ago. Tech support said it was the camera so I returned it but that didn't solve it either. Reinstalled the app with no luck. Just plain garbage.

I'm going out on a limb with 2 stars...I get about 10-30 seconds viewing my cameras then the app shuts down. I have to start it back up, tell it which device to use, let it load for about ten seconds, then (if I'm lucky) I'll get another 10-30 seconds to see what my cameras are picking up. Sometimes, about 40-50% of the time, I have to force stop the app to get it to do anything. I wish it were more reliable. 1/5/16

720p Camera from Sam's Club. Download app, finds the camera and asks to setup username and password, finds the wireless network, enter password and circle spins for a couple minutes and the "oops" it fails. Two thumbs down. UPDATE: Many updates later.... It still doesn't work and unfortunately it's not heavy enough to be a boat anchor.

this is the worst app ever! it never works, so I'm not quite sure why I bought the camera! is this going to be fixed anytime soon, or should I return the camera?? it would also be nice if you actually responded to customer feedback, but that gets ignored, so that's probably a good sign nothing will be done with the app either.

What is going on within this company? They sell this piece of crap and then dont support the app. The system worked good from last summer to last week, now the live cameras don't work. They fix the bugs but knock out everyone running an android system. ....

If the bad spelling all over the application wasn't annoying enough, the app can't seem to connect to the camera, even with the green online indicator. Eventually the app stopped retaining the camera as an added device, so when I found a work around for the apparent ip issues, the app wouldn't connect. I guess the night owl products are cheap Chinese junk because even one look over from a native English speaker could have fixed the typos.

Quick and easy setup is a lie, view anywhere from your phone or tablet is a lie, plug in connect & view is a LIE! Customer service is absolutely terrible, they tell you that they can't view your camera but they need EVERY PASSWORD that you use on your computer and router and you STILL can't view your camera unless you are sitting in FRONT OF IT!... take that back, can't view anything now!

As long as you input your info properly, it'll work. Auto play must be enabled too. Go to menu then touch system and turn on auto play EDIT: Download View cam lite, it works the same and does not crash

Useless crap! STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK PRODUCT! Didn't let me set up my new cameras. Gave an "Oops" error every time. Tried 2 different phones and then my wife tried. Tried resetting my phones, my wifi access point/router, and the cameras. One camera said it was set up, but wouldn't broadcast. They should be paying us for our wasted time.

It's been weeks since this app has worked on our mobiles. Fix it, please! Never had an issue before, but now its a dead end..no connection, no info, no help..it sucks.

Most the time I get a user or Password error. Frustrating. I don't change anything and 3 or 4 tries later it will connect. Frustrating to pay so much for security and one cannot even check the cameras remotely most of the time. Completely stopped working a week ago. Can't connect using app or Web ip with port. TERRIBLE THAT NO ONE CHECKS AND RESPONDS TO USER RATINGS.

First time I ran the app after my screensaver activated I had to reboot my smartphone in order to be able to use my phone. Most times the app locks up / crashes

Was working great after last update until 2 days ago. Live view is fine but crashes everytime a hit playback. Problem is in the app as I can get to playback from my computer logged into the acual camera.

Since the last update, I am unable to connect to my system by mobile device. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, as well as deleted the device from the menu and scanned it back it. I need this to work for security. Please fix!!!!

It use to work somewhat. Seems like when they make a change they screw it up. We probably should be making reviews where it is sold and suggest it be removed from shelves until it is fixed.

I downloaded this app and it worked great last night now I cannot access the camera view nor the settings menu and the app keeps shutting down this app is annoying me can you fix these issues. Why is no one responding to the comments in here? Does anyone from WWM read these posts and respond to them? This is ridiculous.

If i could ZERO star this i would. Can't access my cameras and when i try and play back it says i have no record's worst thing i have ever used. Definitely not a recommend to anyone STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP JUST TERRIBLE!!!!!!

This app is extremely disappointing. The features that do work only work about 10% of the time and that is being generous. If you would like an app that causes great frustration this is the one for you!

I can't believe you are allowed to sell security devices with this so bad application.I bought 3 cameras and is day after day with one or another stop working or communication or had hard time to re connect with the smartphone. I will call for support or I will return them.

1 out of 200 times will playback actually work. Every time I get an error. What is the point of the cameras if I can't use them.

I bougth 5 cameras using in 2 different location, with two differnt nestwork. Suddently everything stopped working. 4 days I tried every way to make them work again, but no luck. Night owl Help & Support people could not figure out the problems.

Problems with new Galaxy S6 edge plus. Sometimes the app will not open. Sometimes it freezes. I had Note 4 and it worked fine. On my Apple devices works fine. I think it's time for a complete redo like your new HD version. I rely on my cameras since I am an OTR truck driver and my wife is home alone all week.

Must be nice to make a product and put it on store shelves. Then that person gets it home and can do absolutely nothing to get it to work. I'm clearly not the only one who can't get the camera to connect to this horrible app. Don't expect to be a company for too long treating customers like this with crappy software.

I come here once a week to let you guys know that your app isn't working. It's going on two months now that it stopped working. I guess it's not important to Night Owl management.

This is a great little app that makes my security DVR accessible from anywhere. Some bugs on this update though: the install blew away all my settings ( 4 dvrs I had setup), and the icon is gone, I had to add it manually. Not too upset though because of noticeable performance and UI improvements. UPDATE: After an android update was pushed to my phone in early 2016, this app is now totally unstable. It runs for maybe 10 or 20 seconds, once useful, now useless.

Love the wireless cameras but app shuts down every time I try to view an event. Does not seem to like Motion recording which is why I bought three of the cameras. PLEASE fix app.

If you port forward from your router it works 100 percent of the time with faster connection time and real time viewing. Their connect process did stop working a few weeks ago with caused me to go the port forwarding route, which is a way better option in my opinion. It only gets 4 stars because I know a lot of non technical people rely on nightowls connect service which is really bad !!

Every time i use it and want to look at just one camera, it crashes. Ihave reported this many times and you people just seem to not care. Nice service!

Does not work.... sa v e your receipt on the camera because without the app it's useless and the app doesn't wotk. Piece of junk
