Very simple app but very useful for learning German. I like to use it when I only have a few minutes to study, since it doesn't require a lot of concentration and you can jump in quickly. Highly recommended for all students of German.

Excellent Ap. It just gives you practice in the gender of German nouns. Nothing else. The only improvement I would request is that it keeps score of how many you have got right and how many you have got wrong. It does already have a scoring mechanism, but it isn't very helpful.

I like it. It is simple enough to practice anywhere, any second.

Please fix the font size...

Text is too large for screen so last letters are lost on longer words. Therefore it's not functional. It doesnt help to rotate device for widescreen view because it doesn't change the amount of visible letters or text size. There's no function in settings to adjust font format to fit the screen, Samsung Note phone.

The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because I would like der die das fields to be in fixed position, as an option

The German words are quite large and get cut off, the der, die, das, change position on the screen, which adds unnecessary complexity. Also to show the English word you have to press a button, it would be useful to have the option to always show the English word.

For my school we learn German and we are learning masculine feminine and neutral so its helpful !!

But there's like a ton of wrong answers and typos. Since it makes you repeat your wrong ones more often (good idea!) you unfortunately hammer in the wrong articles. Needs to be fixed badly. I am a native speaker by the way.

It would be great, if the mistaken words were added to a list, which one could review at will. Perfectly, the list would have the gender, the word per sé and translation (in case it is unknown).

Der Höflichkeit and der Enkelkind? It's enough that my German is not perfect, I don't want to learn wrong things. There are other better apps.

But please add more.. at least something like the most common 1000

Needs translations

First, I just have to say that I love this program. I've been looking for something like this for years. As a native English speaker, I really just cannot seem to hang on to word genders. I mean, there are some that I get, but if I don't learn a word and its gender perfectly the first time, I will screw it up forever. What I needed was something like this. I could have made my own flash cards, but staying honest with flash cards can be a challenge. I found this and I couldn't be happier, except that I've been using it for a month and I was wishing there were more words. Today, I just happened to discover that you actually can change the settings--not that I haven't tried to "discover" a way before. Today, it just happened! I was delighted at the possibilities, but, alas, if I select the 50000 plus word option, it won't work on my phone. The genders appear, but the word does not. In order for the words to appear, I have to select the basic option and the advanced option, but I have yet to see a word that I haven't seen before. Trust me, I know ALL the words in the basic dictionary. Being able to reset the stats would be a nice feature. If I had this in high school . .

Thats a very nice way to learn some words genders! I was terrible w that and the program is helping a lot!

Great App. Looking forward to more levels with more words. Needs an option to reset statistics.

Awesome! But....it would be great if if there was a way to see what the word means in English as well! Will be great to practice on my subway ride home from work.

It's ok but teaches ppl who really want to learn a bit of German wrong things. Some words don't even make sense coz of the spelling mistakes. If you do this type of app make sure you are German yourself or at least use a proper dictionary.

Long words are not viewed fully one my oneplus one. Other than that it's a nice app.

Great app if only it would also show the meaning in English. As it is, not so useful.

I like the app but it looks terrible in my nexus 7: I can't see the bottom of each letter and longer words get truncated :-( otherwise I'd even buy a few dictionaries.

Nice to test your skills about gender of various German nouns

I love these quiz programs, useful for on the go testing, I like the dictionary extension idea, as it can be handy for learning new vocab. I am concerned though that the definitions may not all be right. For example, busbahnhof displays with a definition of "the cable". I checked Leo and dict.cc to be sure, and neither displayed this definition.

Graphics may look better but longer words now truncated so that ending cannot be seen. Samsung S4.

I also bought the dictionary extension.
